5-0 out of 5 stars Great Song
Why is Puffy not good no more he was never a great rapper but
I always liked his style I am not going to diss on mainstream
are underground it depends on the song. This one has a great
Beat to it and R.Kelly also does good here.I like this song
alot it is really good check it out all the way.

4-0 out of 5 stars real good track
while I'm no Puffy fan He&R.Kelly truly made this Joint Hop.this Sample has been used quite a bit over the past few years but it fits rather well for R.Kelly&Puffy.R.Kelly made this Song tight for me with his Vocal Pressence.

5-0 out of 5 stars I really love Puff Daddy and R. Kelly's songs.
I'm so happy they made this song together because having them together makes the song sound tight. It also reminds me of one of my best homegirls, Sheila.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a very good song
The song "Satisfy You" is a great song. And R. Kelly does work very well in the song.. Just basically a great song and HIGHLY recommended! ;>

5-0 out of 5 stars It's AMAZING
I absolutely love this song. I love Puffy's lyrics and R. Kelly does a great job in the background. The hook kicks and I love the part when R. Kelly in the background goes "No he don't, no he don't." It's so cool...if you don't have...get it. It kicks. Peace y'all. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Single
Great singles for only having two songs, the edited rock version of the Benjamins, and the LP version of Been Around the World. I am not exactly the biggest fan of Puffy, but the single is Cheap and a good buy for anyone. The cover even looks pretty good. Enjoy it!

Album Description

Grammy-winning artist Young MC, whose voice is recognized throughout the world, and whose lyrics are the stuff that urban myths are made of, will release his new CD, Engage The Enzyme on July 23rd."As they grow older, my rhymes get better with age, as does wine when it ferments, " muses Young MC. "I feel this is the best record I’ve ever made....I believe it shows people that I’m capable of being edgy and a little harder than previous projects." Engage The Enzyme (Stimulus Records) is Young MC’s most poignant work to date.Featuring 13tracks plus a bonus hidden track, Young MC stands poised to engage the audience.Retail has reacted strongly to the release, standing behind theirfondness for the artist and his work with increased product orders. The debut single, "Stress Test" is currently receiving an enthusiastic response at radio."It’s about those things that bother me personally and may bother others too -- the state of the rap game, the state of the music business, a bad relationship that has ended - it‘s most aggressive," explains Young MC. The story is legendary, after signing with Delicious Vinyl Records, Young MC was asked by label honchos to write a rap to the "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina" tracks. His credibility firmly established, he penned his soon-to-be signature monster hit -- in an hour and a half. The single, "Bust A Move" was a staple on the charts for over 40 weeks. He received a Grammy for Best Rap Performance, won an American Music Award for Best Rap Artist and also garnered a Billboard Award for Best Pop Artist. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Comes back strong
Since 1990, when he last had a hit, Young MC has released some really good material, and also some bad stuff -- particularly, his last album, the awful "Ain't Goin' Out Like That". But it's not that anyone has really noticed, given that Young MC has been off the pop-culture radar for many years now

So, with that in mind, I'm not sure if you could call this album a comeback, but it is definetly a huge rebound from his terrible last outing.

Much like his last two albums, "Engage The Enzyme" smacks of low-budget. But Young MC reaches several peaks in this album, delivering the most insightful, intelligent lyrics of his career. This is definetly his most thoughtful album, and the first time in his career where you can actually take him seriously when he gets serious. "Stress Test", the powerful opening song to the album, actually sees Young MC come somewhat hard, and deliver succesfully.

The beats are really unlike anything else you are hearing in hip-hop right now. Wether that is a good or bad thing is up to you, but they are far more varied, more complex, and ultimately better than what was "Ain't Goin' Out Like That".

I'm very, very impressed with this album. As someone who has remained a fan of Young MC for his entire career, I thought he had completely lost his abilities on his last album. But he comes back strong on "Engage The Enzyme", and I am impressed across the board -- lyrically, musically and artistically. And for those of you who lost track of Young many years ago, this is a definite must-buy album, because it's probably different from anything else you have heard.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best hip-hop albums ever
This is easily one of the best rap albums from one of the best rappers ever. Every song on the album is unbelievably brilliant, with Young's energy and lyrical flow taking over. The best tracks are "Unsigned Diva" and "Stress Test," both of which talk about the state of the music industry. "Crucial" is one of the better 9/11 songs to be recorded, especially when you look at the lyrics. Other highlights include "One Time for Your Mind" and "Without Doubt," which showcase Young's ever-present skill as a rapper. "Babe" and "Ain't no Way in the World" both see Young trying out his singing voice, and he pulls it off well on both tracks. Other highlights include "Heatseeker" and its remix, and "Feel the Love." This is one truly great album. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful song but the single lacks
I love Amanda Perez's debut single 'Angel'. It is such a gorgeous song. You hear it a million times and it is still amazing. It never gets boring. They don't play it much now, since it's dropped off the charts, but I still like it. My friend even knew how much I loved this song, so she gave me the single for my birthday. The reason it gets 3 stars is because it has only 2 tracks (the tracklisting on amazon says it has 3, but mine only has 2). Track rundown:

1. Angel (5/5)
The radio edit that absolutely everyone knows. The first time I heard this song, I didn't expect it to be sung by someone like Amanda Perez at all. I love the piano and Amanda's vocals, she has such a beautiful voice. This rocks.
2. Love Is Pain (3/5)
Didn't catch me like Angel did. That is why this only gets 3 out of 5. It has a nice chorus though, and it does kind of grow on you after awhile.
3. Angel (Dance Remix) (4/5)
Wasn't on my CD, but I've heard it. It's just a dance version of Angel, which is originally a ballad. It keeps the vocals intact and just adds a strong dance beat to the song. It's better then the bonus track.

There you have it. Brilliant song, but the poor quality of the CD tracks gets it 3 stars. Watch out for Amanda Perez, she is very talented!

5-0 out of 5 stars Niceeeee

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THE WHOLE CD
I LOVE THE SONGS: SHOOP, GROOVE ME, WHATTA A MAN I LOVE SALT-N-PEPA THEY ARE MY DIVAS. THEY INSPIRE ME TO GET INTO THE MUSIC BUSINESS.

3-0 out of 5 stars "Very Necessary" by Salt 'N Pepa
The 3 member group of Salt 'N Pepa date back to the mid-eighties with hits like "Push It." In 1993, they made a strong comeback into the hip-hop scene with their hit-packed album "Very Necessary" which featured two chart-topping singles: "Shoop" and "Whatta Man(featuring R&B quartet En Vogue)" and the grammy nominated song "None Of Your Business." That song was filled with liberating, pro-female lyrics that were both innovative and catchy. Salt 'N Pepa also had strong video support as well. The group released one more cd called "Brand New" in 1997 before disbanding. Salt went on to make a few cameos like her brief rap verse in a gospel song called "Stomp(remix)" by God's Property. Pepa married rap originator Treach(of Naughty By Nature) and gave birth to a child recently. You can also check the group out on raggae queen Patra's sophomore disc where the group makes a guest appearance on one of her songs. Basically, if you're into old school-tinged hip-hop with a pro-woman empowering feeling, I would recommend picking it up. Even if you just like to hear some of the classics that shaped rap into what it is today, I would urge you to have a listen. If not, then don't. Once again, this is THE RAP REVIEWER signing off. Just look for the trademark name atop other rap, hip-hop and R&B titles and you can trust that it's true and informative. ~Peace.

4-0 out of 5 stars the best salt 'n' pepa album// release a greatest hits CD!!!
Very Necessary is not only the the best selling Salt 'N' Pepa album (5x platinum), but their best period. This cd also won them a grammy for the song "None of your business" and is the best selling album by female rappers (solo or group) EVER. (Lauryn Hill's "Miseducation" cd is mostly singing) I can still listen to this CD now and enjoy it. What is really needed NOW is a Salt 'N' Pepa digitally remastered greatest hits CD with great photos and extensive liner notes. There are too many greatest hits CD's from undeserving artists with 2 or 3 hits when S'N'P has at least 12 major hits. Enough on that... bottom line this cd is hot.

5-0 out of 5 stars A classic and a must own.
This is one of my favorite albums. I grew up listening to Salt-N-Pepa throughout the 80's and 90's. This album rules. I love it when Ellen Degeneres sings "Shoop" on some her her comedy specials (example : DVD - "Here and Now"). I mean, the song is about men, and Ellen is a lesbian (no harm meant) and I think it is funny. I wonder what ever happened to Salt-N-Pepa. Did they split up or just left the music business?

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome CD--never tire of it
This was one of the best Salt-n-Pepa CDs ever. Full of fresh tracks and in your face lyrics... and you can dance to it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS SONG
I think this song is better then the first song men in black. He just keeps coming out with the greatest ideas. Although in the video he's a little off with lip singing lol. But anyways he is very talented, my fiance and I want to become friends with him So if he reads these he should contact me hehe.

LISA I"M DREAMING LOL.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh yeah!
People raised they eyebrows when they visited me and this song rolled over my speakers. I am known for my hatred against everything called "Rap/Hip-Hop/Dance-you-get-the-picture". But this song, it is different. It has so many sounds that works on a different levels, who make this song sound so "cool". Just the tapping on the Piano in the background, the catchy-almost funny guitar that repeats thru the song and of Course Will Smiths special unserious, but working text. It captures a party-mood, and it is an excellent song for promoting a new movie. Love the song.

5-0 out of 5 stars will is back!
finally will smith is back, we haven't seen him in around 2 years and this track is very good, i cant wait for the album to come out.

1-0 out of 5 stars A disgraceful cd.
What can I say about p diddy that hasnt already been said about this joke of a man? This cd further proves that p diddy cant rap or write any original songs. This is just another ploy to make more money by p diddy as thats all he cares about.Very boring soundtrack and its a shame that a talented artist like page would even consider working with this no talent loser.P diddy must have paid page alot of money to work with him.DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM OR ANYTHING FROM DIDDY.

1-0 out of 5 stars what is puff thinking
he's dissing suge knight and 2pac on here big time still it's a bad jam can't stabd this one here.

1-0 out of 5 stars Oh man . . . .
I'm huge Page fan, but this is just gross. I just don't know what to say, it's that bad. Puff Daddy (P. Diddy or whatever) just can't rap. Straight face here, he actually says "I want to fight you, I'll (...) bite you, I can't stand you" Enough said on Diddy's rapping ability. His attempts at a Plant-like mock orgasim are pathetic to the point it's difficult to tell whether he's faking said orgasim or constipated. Page's remade backing track isn't terrible, a bit too "metal" maybe, but could never save the song from Puff Daddy/P. Diddy anyway.
This is a terrible remake of an awesome song. Thank god Page has moved on and doing excellent work in Page/Plant.

5-0 out of 5 stars Aww yeah.
This is what all rap should be. At its heart, rap is merely some good lyrics over a hot beat. Jimmy Page provides some of the coolest background to any song. The simple guitar provides the perfect beat. The Led Zeppelin version doesn't do it for me, but with Puff Daddy's excellent rap, it creates an amazing song. The lyrics are great as well. Puff Daddy manages to make me feel like Godzilla. He knows how to rap. That's all there is to it. This CD is a must own for people who like Puff Daddy... people who like rap... heck, EVERYONE should own this CD. It's probably the best rap song ever. A must buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Puffy and Page rule
The combonation of Puff Daddy (arguably the greatest rapper/producer of all time), and Jimmy Page of Led Zepplin did a great job of redoing the old Led Zepplin classic. This song is the best song on the soundtrack, and it was the only thing that made the movie almost watchable. This song is great, Puffy rules. Peace. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not his best work
I'm not someone who has disliked Young MC. In fact, I have always been a big fan, even in the post-Stone Cold Rhymin' years when everyone forgot who he was. So I'm not biased.

Having said that, this is a pretty poor album. The lyrics and production are second-rate, generic, uncreative and repetitive. There's not much good that can be said about this album. For those looking to rediscover Young MC in his post-top 40 years, I would reccomend getting any of his other albums besides this one, particularly "What's The Flavor", which is a very good album.

1-0 out of 5 stars Never Rap Again...
Rap music has seen a lot of good and bad mc's. Young MC lucked up over 10 years ago with the track "Bust a Move"..he got paid...OK..you can only win the lottery once in a lifetime. This album is garbage rap and that's why I'm the only person to review this CD. If you are reading this review Young MC I hope you understand that the rap game isn't for you..."Don't be Mad..UPS is hiring"..Biggie

4-0 out of 5 stars beautiful song
I was hooked on this song the moment I heard it.It has a tropical influence to it.Wyclef's very distinctive ,raspy voice is balanced out by Claudia's, who while she has a a totally average r n'b voice, it gives a lot to the song. This song is mellowed out, with a chilled beat, and the lyrics flow beautifully with the song. Th reason why I give it 4 stars is cause there's only the cd single which is included, and an instrumental, so I think that something else could've been added.

my sister has Much Dance 2002 which has a puff daddy song that i liked...i saw this cd for $1 at a cd store so i bougt it....i listened to it once and it was not that great at all..another thing is its a cd single...and those things are just a big waste of money....so DONT buy this cd even if your a puff daddy fan..if you liek puff daddy so much just buy one of his real cd's

1-0 out of 5 stars It's Even Worse Than I Remembered.
Monotone rapping set to a generic hip hop beat with a sample of "Break My Stride" by Matthew Wilder? For this, he's a millionaire? People, this is criminal. Get something else.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not bad...
First off, I'd like to say that I am by no means a Puff Daddy or should I say P. Diddy fan. In fact, before I heard this, the only song I liked with him was Hate Me Now from Nas' I Am... CD. Even with all this being said though, this song is hot! Its got a nice beat all the way through and for Puff Daddy, the rapping isn't half-bad either. However, I didn't like all of the different mixes on this single. I found most of them to be repetitive and annoying. Overall though, this single is worth the money! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars This Is What You Want
If you thought Mase's flat, slow delivery was in tortoiselike mode on "Lookin' At Me," your assumption couldn't be more wrong. "What You Want" displays Mase's slow-mo flow in torpid like slug mode - lackadaisical. The number is well-crafted and reinvented around a well chosen sample. Though the track features some of the worst Spanish pronunciation of words in the history of language, it's still spellbinding. The "New Jill Flava" trio, Total, provide their captivating croon and harmonies - backup vocalists for the Notorious B.I.G. and gained fame from their '96 self-titled debut - but sound better with deep, seductive funk grooves. "What You Want" remains to be one of Mase's finest and successful releases.

5-0 out of 5 stars Da Bomb
Even though Mase isn't in the game anymore, he deserves his share of props. This joint with Total is one of the best tracks he has done. I wish everyone would stop hatin' cuz right now he's richer than any one of you reading this.

3-0 out of 5 stars Mase can do better......
Mase & Total make a great duet but he can do much much better. He needs to rap or sing instead of talk. Besides I think it's a alright song. ... Read more
