This CD is wonderful, I found all the music for my wedding right here, and it sounds just like I wanted it to. I certainly recomend this to any bride looking for classy, beautiful music for thier wedding!

A Great CD for Your Wedding
My husband and I had a small elegant wedding (immediate family only). We wanted "classy" classical music for our ceremony. There were so many great songs on this CD that we had trouble choosing which ones to use! We settled on #1 (Hornpipe from the Water Music) and #16 (the traditional Wedding March). One would have thought the church was filled with a world-famous orchestra. I don't think anyone could go wrong with this CD if you want to use prerecorded classical music at your wedding.

Great For Outdoor Weddings
I had my wedding outside, in a large gazebo, but did not have
the funds to hire a musican to play traditional wedding songs at my ceremony. I also wanted the traditional "Here Comes The Bride" with out worring how it would sound for certain instruments. 'Classical Wedding' was WONDERFUL alternative and made my outdoor garden wedding spectacular!

A great CD!

This CD was very helpful for our classical ceremony music.
I really like the musicians and the sound.
For the reception I used the CD "New Wedding Traditions Volume I" (from amazon.com) That CD had meaningful songs for our family and friends like "A Song For My Daughter" for my father bride-dance, "A Song For My Son" for the mother-groom dance,"A Wedding Thank You" for our bridal party and "To Our Family and Friends" for everyone.
I am very happy with both of these CDs because they gave me all the special wedding music I needed.

25 Wedding Favorite... Almost
As with many compilation CDs 25WF is long on music but short on musicianship. The performances are dull and lifeless with little or no attention to the subtleties necessary to perform these compositions. The recordings are reminiscent of a Jr. College Orchestra performing late in the day. The sound quality is thin and hollow which adds to the dreary atmosphere.
An unremarkable set of recordings to be avoided at all costs.

A Very Good CD
We are going to use many of the songs on this CD for our wedding. The quality is very good.
We also found on amazon.com "A Song For My Daughter" "A Song For My Son" and "A Wedding Thank You" all on the New Wedding Traditions Volume I CD.

A Good Source of Ideas But ...
The best I can say about this CD is that there are many different styles represented & one can at least get a sense of which pieces merit further investigation. My overall impression is that most of the selections are given a heavy-handed treatment(one might say ultra-formal) or are downright silly--I could swear I've heard 2 of the tracks in Disney's Electrical Parade. I don't blame the composer, of course, but the arranger & compiler. I'm planning my own wedding & found a few ideas of songs I'd like to hear in *other* versions, but nothing on this CD sounded like what I wanted to hear at my wedding, let alone anyone else's. If you have limited exposure to classical music, or don't know where to begin in planning your wedding selections, this might be a good place to begin, simply because of the variety. But I wouldn't recommend it as the source of your wedding music.

A Song For My Son On His wedding Day
I have only heard this song once before ..in both Country and Classic version.. I would be honored to dance with my wonderful son to this tune on his wedding day.. The words are beautifully, written, sentimemtal, meaningful and come straight from the heart.

tear jerker
I was looking for the perfect song for the mother and son dance at his wedding which will take place in August and I heard about this cd and had to hear it for myself. Needless to say this is going to be the song for me. My son has not heard it yet I want to wait until the wedding day when we have our dance. Two versions on her they are both good but I really like the country version it has so much feeling!!!!

Useful song. You'll also want to get all of the love songs on Genie's Wildflowers "Songs of Love CD". I ended up using two of those at my wedding.

A Real Classic
When first heard this song my son was in Jr. High School but I knew then that it would be the song for my mother groom dance.
Now we are planning a June wedding and I am so happy that I have this heart warming song for our dance.

Amazing!
YOURS, MINE & OURS" is amazing! The songs we used from this CD touched so many people. My friends said that most of the fathers had tears in their eyes when my Dad and I danced to "MY LITTLE GIRL"...even my 'tough guy' Dad. I had looked for months and months to find something emotional but not corny. This song couldn't have been more perfect. Then, before playing "IN YOUR EYES", my husband announced that he had something special to play for his Mother and that the song expressed all the things he could never find the words for. It was really quite a moment. Eveybody loved it. We also used the song "YOURS, MINE & OURS" for the unity candle lighting at the ceremony and that too was very moving. My teenage brother and younger sister loved lighting their own candle and being a real part of the ceremony that way. I highly recommend this CD to help make any wedding extra special.

Save Your Money
I was very disapointed in this CD.
For the price I expected more. After reading about it I thought the songs were going to have words that said something about the wedding or the bride and groom and they didn't. The singers are OK but for some of the songs I could hardley hear what they were saying.
I did finally find another CD (on Amazon) I really like.
Its called The Ultimate Collection Of Wedding Music
The price is great. I got 3 CDs for less than I paid for this one. There are more songs and a much better selection of music on this CD and the singers are very good.

Bride in Chicagoland

The Search is Over
I looked everywhere and listened to incredibly corny wedding songs until I found this CD. These songs are absolutely beautiful and fit all those situations it's so hard to find music for. My parents cried when I played this for them and so did my future mother-in-law. The singers are fabulous also. If you have stepparents, the right songs are on here too. I'm really grateful because I believe there will be some really special moments at my reception because of these songs!

What Great Songs!
My Dad and I wanted a special song to dance to at my wedding - not Butterfly Kisses. When we got this CD, there were 2 great songs for the father daughter dance. One was from the dads point of view and one from the brides. We loved both and coudn't decide which to use, so I let my dad choose. He picked "My Little Girl". Tears filled his eyes when we danced. I'll never forget that moment. My husband and his mother danced to "The Man You've Become". She said it expressed everything she wanted to say to her son but couldn't herself. We also had a reception candlelighting ceremony and used "Yours Mine & Ours" for a circle of love to unite our two families. I can't say enough how much this CD contributed to the warmth and emotion at our wedding.

The Perfect Reception CD
I wanted a special song to dance with my father, and my husband was looking for a song that he would feel comfortable dancing to with his mother. We found those and more on this CD. The songs were just beautiful, not syrupy but yet emotional, expressing everything we wanted to say! There was also a family unity song that we used as well. The recordings and vocals were great. Very nice CD

I really like this cd. Sometimes I don't like to take a chance on buying a cd because of the possiblity that I may only like 2 songs. However, on this cd, I liked every song except for 3. This cd is worth it; it is simply the best!

The Best Gift Ever
My father bought this song to play for me on my Wedding day! It was the Best Gift he could have ever given me. He is a man of few words, but I know this song said all that was in his heart on that very special day (Nov 4th).

If you have daughter getting married I highly suggest you listen to this before you chose a song to dance to.

a song for my daughter
I purchased this song for my husband to dance with my daughter at her wedding because it was different and the most beautiful song I have ever heard. I felt it was very appropiate for that day for my husband to tell his daughter how he felt about her. We have three sons and I had the honor of dancing with them and now with this song I felt it should be his honor with a song this beautiful and I felt every one would remember it because it is an unforgetable song and the words are so true of what a father feels about his daughter on her wedding day.

A Fantastic Song!
I heard this song at a friends wedding and I got a copy to play for my parents.
They both love it and want it played for the ceremony and also at the reception.
I am glad there are two versions of it.
We will play the female version at the ceremony and then the male version for our father bride dance.

This CD has wonderful music but if you want these selections played on a live instrument be careful. There is no sheet music available for some of these. This is distressing because the happy couple in search of a perfect wedding are set up for disappointment when their musician cannot provide them with the piece they want.

Very Helpful
We were glad to find this CD so that we could review the music we wanted our ceremony musicians to play. It was very helpful.
For the special reception songs we used the CD "New Wedding Traditions Volume I" It had "A Song For My Daughter" for my father bride dance "A Song For My Son" for the mother groom dance and other special wedding songs.

Why waste your money?
I know you're excited, and you want everything to be perfect and planned down to the tiniest detail, and you're working on [probably] the biggest budget you've ever had to work with, but PLEASE save the $__.__ and buy yourself a new 8-hour lipstick instead. Then go to the library, and oogle over how many of these ridiculous CDs they have for you to listen to for free. Trust me, once you decide on your songs, you'll never listen to the CD again.

Never used it
I bought this CD thinking I was going to play it at my wedding but I never used one song because I was not happy with the sound. I'm glad I kept looking (and buying!) because I did find another CD at Amazon.com which is much better it's called
"Classical Wedding Traditions" this CD is really fantastic. It was like having great classical musicians for our wedding.

Beautiful!
I looked in so many locations for music for my daughters wedding and in particular Pachelbel's Cannon D. Sounded easy but to find it well done is another hurdle to jump! This CD is wonderfully done, smooth and easy to listen to, something for everyone. We love it and used this one for the church and pieces of the CD Ultimate Wedding to fill in other areas. The Perfect Ceremony CD
There are many classical wedding CDs, but this one is different. It's really special! Instead of big overblown orchestras and choirs, or tinny organs and trumpets, or some horrible performance on a synthesizer, these versions are elegant and beautifully arranged and performed. I feel lucky that I found this CD. I was wavering between live music and Cds, because I couldn't find the right one until now. I decided against live music, because many times it's so badly played. A great CD to get for your wedding...
or if you are just looking for romantic songs. Has some of the 70's love songs, a lot from the 80's and 90's and of course the wedding march and processional. If you are looking for more modern songs then this CD might not be for you.

FINALLY! A Wedding CD with the ORIGINAL ARTISTS singing. I have searched for days, and its about time someone was smart enough to put the original version of the song on a collection. Who wants to hear the "countdown singers" on their wedding day? NOT ME. I'll enjoy this one.

I also only bought it for The Wedding Song
Paul Stookey's The Wedding Song (There is Love) is one of the most beautiful, reverent, appropriate songs to play at your wedding, and I'm glad I finally found the original version of it. However, the rest is really bad. Just, bad. If I was less moral I would just search for the MP3.

Finally found it!
I have finally found the most elusive song. The Wedding Song(There is love) by Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul & Mary is a song I have been looking for in something other than vinyl for a long time. I havn't listened to the CD yet, but I know most of the songs, and they are good selections. If they weren't, I would buy it for the one track.

Set Your Wedding to Music
This CD is a perfect mix of songs that I can use for my wedding. There's a gorgeous Celtic version of the Wedding Song (which I love). My favorite is "Con Te Partiro" which I may use for my entrance as I walk down the aisle. This instrumental version is wonderful. "Sunrise Sunset" is amazing: it sounds so contemporary & yet so emotional. I think it's a great Father-Daughter dance (I will probably dance to that with my Grandfather). Another great alternative is "Because You Loved Me" and that's done beautifully too. I could go on and on. This is not just a typical group of love songs bunched together. There are classical pieces, beautifully played and orchestrated (including one of the best versions of "Here Comes the Bride" I've heard), great new songs for a unity candle ceremony, cutting the cake, first dance etc. (Everyone I know is in love with "At Last", sung by Etta James and that's on the album too). I really love this very special collection of wedding music. Even the booklet that comes with it is special. It gives you great ideas on how to use the music. If I could buy only one great wedding CD, this would be the one.

A "Must Have" For Planning Your Wedding
I received "Set Your Weding to Music" as an engagement gift. When I played the CD I was swept away by the classic and elegant selections and the rich beautifully orchestrated selections presented in this CD gem.
We had already decided to use live music throughout our wedding. We changed our minds and interlaced selections from the CD such as "The Wedding Song" and "Pachelbel's Canon in D-1" for the prelude. For the processional we used the instrumental "Conte Partiro" and of course the beautifully arranged "Bridal Chorus" for my walk down the aisle.
In addition to our band we played some of the lovely and romantic love songs during the reception.
We really feel this CD added a warm and loving mood to our wedding. I highly recommend this classic CD to anyone planning a wedding, any style, any place, anywhere.

A real stinker.
This recording was a major disappointment. The five star ratings must be from people with a financial interest in the disc. It is lame. All uninspiring cover versions. Big waste of money. Buyer beware.

Used a lot of these songs for our wedding
This was the most helpful wedding cd we bought. We used the cd for our ceremony and our reception. It was so much easier having all the songs that we wanted on 1 cd than having to go out and buy a bunch of them. I highly recommend it to anyone who is getting married.

A Major Disapointment
After reading the reviews on this CD I took a chance and purchased one.
The classical music was at best bad and the other songs did not have the original artists except Etta James singing At Last which is on many CDs.
Just wanted to warn anyone considering this CD to save your money there are other CDs with much better music for less. ... Read more

Truly a Godsend
This album is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, and the marriage in between. I was looking for a non-traditional wedding song that reinforced my belief that a marriage takes three (husband, wife, and God), I came across the perfect song for my wedding on this album. GO GET THIS ALBUM!!!

One song won me over
I have not purchased the CD yet. I will be bride next year, and I heard this song on the Quiet Storm on my local radio station. I mae sure I listen and stay awake until the DJ plays this song. I figure I will call to request it, but someone always beats me to it. After waiting for commercials, which seemed to be an hour long, it came on. --YOU'RE THE ONE-- Two unknown voices singing very fulfilling words. The man I am marrying is the one. I knew from the first time our eyes met, and I prayed to God, and God said he was sent for me. This song confirmed this for me. I have been on a non-stop search for this song, and I vowed to a local electronics store clerk, that I don't care if no other song on the album is worth a dime, that one song is...priceless. I now know that when I get this CD, my other CDs will collect dust.

With this ring - Forever I Do
This is an exceptional compilation of the most stirring and heart-reaching songs that I have ever had the privilege to hear. Worthy of Purchase
As a musician and music lover, I have looked extensively for the right music for my traditional wedding ceremony with a couple of twists. So tired of the traditional bridal march, I chose Rigaudon as my entrance. This CD has good-quality sound, able musicianship, and 28 selections from which to choose. The organ is the best instrument in a cathedral to inspire the congregants. The bass tones are not too throaty, and the high pitches are clear, yet pleasing to the ear.

This compilation is better than some others in that it is all played on organ, has so many selections, and the overall feel is regal and celebratory.

Serious Classical Wedding Music
Most of the "wedding" albums are filled with a 15 - 30 of the 50 or so greatest classical wedding hits. Sample the albums on line before you buy. In fact, if the budget is tight, you can do the whole selection process on line by just playing the samples. First consider the instruments that you plan to use - organ, piano, guitar, brass ensemble, whatever. The instrument of course will have much to say about what to consider. Then select albums that have the selections played on the instrument(s) you are expecting to use. An organ is quite versatile of course and can handle anything for a keyboard and even does nicely for the festive trumpet in case your marching band first trumpet is tied up doing lifeguard duty.

My daughter and I have been serious music lovers and amateur pianists, violinist (she only), organist (I only), and singers. Since our church has a very good new electronic organ that can simulate very well the rich tones of a real pipe organ, we are looking for some heavy duty music for organ.

Listen to the sample from item 5, the Rondeau from Abdelazer by Henry Purcell. Play it loud and imagine it as a recessional - with the bride and groom waiting to turn around until the first repetition of the magnificent theme.

This is the only wedding album I found with this Rondeau arranged for organ. Many other albums have this selection played by a small chamber orchestra. That's the way it was written, but we won't be paying for an orchestra in church. And it's magnificent on organ.

We will be using item 21, Where'er You Walk from Handel's Semele as well. It is a beautiful tenor aria with words that are just right. Look around for the words on the Internet - great poetry, and a great love song with stong religious meaning as well. ... Read more

The Most Beautiful Piano CD You Can Buy!
After searching all over Palm Beach County for a suitable CD for my daughter's wedding I came upon this one and really did not hold out much hope, but ordered it strictly because of the reviews. It is beautiful for the person who is looking for a more pure piano sound, free of all the other "stuff". Very well done, something for everyone. Worth the price and then some.

The best wedding album!
My husband and I used this CD when our church pianist moved a week before our wedding. It was beautiful, and we got many compliments on it. It's much more reliable than live music, and just as nice. I would highly recommend it.

I Have Several Originals of this CD
I am a professional dj owner and heard his music. I assist 100+ brides on their music choices and this CD is absolutely the best for a bride that needs piano solo music for the guests entering the ceremony (prelude) through the ceremony ending. It is a must have. Also in combination with this CD, is his piano versions of love songs "HONEYMOON SUITE" (My Heart Will Go On - Is The First Track). It is classic, clean and used over & over.

Beautiful music for a beautiful wedding!
When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we wanted beautiful piano music, so we bought "The Ultimate Wedding Collection." It really made the wedding even more romantic, and now I listen to the CD at work and at home. On our anniversary, we often play the CD while we enjoy a quiet candlelight dinner at home. The very Best Wedding Music
I am so grateful for this CD it really has given me a lot of beautiful songs for my wedding day.
I have played it for many of my friends and they all love it. I really like the songs
"A Song For My Daughter" 'A Song For My Son' and "A Wedding Thank You" (which I am useing for my dance with my brother)
But the entire CD is Fantastic.

Our Special Songs
We were looking for songs for the father bride and mother groom dance and we got them on this CD with "A Song For My Son" and " Song For My Daughter"
I am also going to use "A Wedding Thank You" for a dance with my brothers.
And we will dedicate "To Our Family And Friends" to all our guests at the end of the reception.
Nice to know we found most of our special songs on this CD.

Great CD filled with the best songs and we are useing everyone at our wedding this summer.

I am going to use "A Wedding Thank You" for a dance with my brother because he will be standing in for my dad and giving me away. (my dad passed on last year)
And we are so glad we could find "A Song For My Son" and "A Song For My Daughter" both on the same CD. We are going to play the female version of "A Song For My Daughter" for my mom and I and "A Song For My Son" for the mother groom dance.
I will probably use a couple of the other songs too.

Horrible
First of all, the short description says "miscellaneous artists". It needs to say "mostly country music artists", or something similar. What a waste of $15! I was literally sick to my stomach when I popped the CD in and started listening.

Great for weddings
Just like it says. Nice soft slow music for weddings. I'm going to have it played while our guests are arriving to church. Very romantic music. Definitely recommend.

One of the Best Wedding Song Collections!
Although I am already married, I truly love the songs on this CD. They're soft, romantic. The kind of music to mellow you out, make you want to slow dance or just cuddle with the one you love. And just because it's a Wedding Album doesn't mean we can't listen to it for years to come! I really enjoyed being able to sample the music online. If there are any doubts as to whether to buy it or not, this feature definitely helps set the mood to want to buy it.
