Would have been better if more songs on the album could have been reviewed. The song that caught my eye is song #12 Answer to Stella at the Wheel. That song was originally recorded by the Pala Bros. many years ago.The words & music for that song were written & sung by my brother Bob Bobin. Would like to know if this is that song? ... Read more

Fine CD, But Not a Necessary Addition to Your Collection
This is a perfectly fine (though short) CD. The problem is, there aren't any songs/versions on this CD that aren't included on one of the other Lawrence Welk Christmas CDs. If you like Lawrence Welk, or just love good Christmas music, pass this one up and get "22 Merry Christmas Favorites", "Christmas Memories", and "Jingle Bells" instead. Those CDs will get you the majority of the recordings that were included in Reader's Digest's splendid 4-record set issued in 1969/1970, as well as a few additional songs and alternate versions, notably the Lennon Sisters' rendition of "Merry Christmas from Our House to Your House". Having said all of that, if you do get this CD, or receive it as a gift, you'll enjoy it just fine. "Merry Christmas from Our House to Your House" and "Ring Those Christmas Bells" alone are worth it. ... Read more

Top-notch variety
Having just acquired seven Jimmy Sturr CDs, I think I can safely say that you can't go wrong with any of them. Any CD by this artist will probably rate 5 stars. The primary instrument here is the trumpet, rather than the accordion of some other bands. Jimmy usually includes a couple of country/cajun numbers, in this case Loving Arms of Tennessee and Fiddlemania. This CD also features a Tex-Mex number, Hey Baby Que Paso, featuring English and fake Spanish. Buy ANY Jimmy Sturr CD (or any seven) -- it'll be great! ... Read more

Very entertaining and enjoyable to listen to.
I thoroughly enjoyed the CD. The music was great. Chis really is a great musician and has a good ear for music. The accordian has such great sound and it is really wonderful to see this instrument coming back to music. It really makes you want to get up and dance. This CD truly gives me a lift each day.
