Selena!
I admit I speak no Spanish, I only know a few words in Spanish though. Even though I do not understand what Selena is singing in this album I still love it! Como La Flor is my favorite song! It feels weird listening to Selena when she's not here but she's here in a way. I still love Selena! I loved her since the Selena movie came out! Anyways, I recommend you buy this C.D. today! You'll cherrish it always!

Mis Mejores Canciones
I love Selena's music; all of it! She had so much talent and was such a special person, as well. She could sing any style of music and do it so well. I have all her CD's as well as her videos, and most of her pictures. But, then again, so do millions of persons. Her music was sung from the heart and you can tell that she totally loved and enjoyed performing. Her songs kind of hit soft spots in all of us. We have lost a great young lady with such exceptional talent.

It sure is a shock to hear this
after hearing all the Anglicized versions of a lot of these songs. It is also a shock for those not used to real Tejano, as most of the songs on this CD are...someone once described Tejano as "polka with Spanish lyrics," and they weren't far off the mark. This CD goes along nicely with Todos Mis Exitos and Todos Mis Exitos II as Selena primers, for those who have never heard any Selena at all. The songs I love on this CD are "Costumbres," "No Quiero Saber," "Yo Fui Aquella" (which is a real shocker if you've only heard the version on Anthology, as I had before buying this CD--you will not expect this!), "Besitos," "Mentiras," "Tú Eres," and a sweet Spanish version of "Sukiyaki." If you like Selena and want to know what music she did before "Dreaming Of You," BUY THIS CD!! I love it :)

BRILLIANT!
One of Selena's best recordings from the beginning of 'Como la flor' to the end of 'La tracalera' you are truly in music heaven. My favourites are 'Mentiras', 'Costumbres', Yo fui aquella', 'No quiero saber' and 'Yo me voy'. If you don't already have it, Buy this now! That's all i have to say. BYE!

Selena, still sad because of her death
From the moment on I've saw the biographical film of her I needed to buy a album. I guessed that the '17 exitos' not could be a mistake - and it wasn't. It is a different, it's texmex. When you're not used to this music it is a little bit strange, but you will like it every time more when listening. Simplemente genial - no sólo para sus incondicionales
The first of the really good Luis Miguel records. Has some classic ballads and funky uptempo songs. An excellent latino effort from this amazing singer and a good place to start your collection.

El primer disco cien por cien genial de Luismi (empezó poco a poco con el anterior 'Soy Como Quiero Ser'). Este tío podría cantar los números de la guía telefónica y sería igual de emocionante con la voz que tiene. Mucha gente asocia a Luismi con sus baladas, pero en realidad son las rolas con marcha que son las mejores en este disco. WHAT JUAREZ IS MISSING!
Thirty years ago or so I asked a street hustler in Juarez where I could go to hear mariachi or other reasonably authentic Mexican music and was told, "We don't play that cheat no more. You wanna hear that cheat go back to San Antonio." Never did find it..until I stumbled on Flaco's Amigos. It was worth every minute of the waiting. Talk about a bargain. Not only did I get Flaco Jimenez's considerable skill on the accordion, but I discovered that Flaco teams up on several songs on this disc with the talented Peter Rowan (famous for his "Free Mexican Air Force Is Flying Tonight," one of his duets with Flaco.) And THEN I found one of Flaco's amigos was one of my long standing musical amigo, Ry Cooder, who turns up here with his customary panache on mandolin and slide guitar. A.B. Quintanilla III wants to have it both ways. The writer, producer, and brother of murdered Tejano goddess Selena has split the sophomore album from his band Los Kumbia Kings into English and Spanish halves. There's no strong connection between the two collections of songs, but Shhh! is still an enjoyable enough listen. Much like he did with the music of Selena, Quintanilla infuses the album's cumbia rhythms with pop, hip-hop, and R&B elements. By now, though, the trick has become a bit predictable. Songs such as "Me Enamoré" and "Me Estoy Muriendo" could easily be switched with any of the tracks on the Kumbia Kings' first album, Amor, Familia y Respeto. Better are Shhh!'s English-language tracks, which showcase a genuine hip-hop sensibility. It's easy to imagine acts such as Next or Sisqo crooning gems such as "Say It (a Million Times)," "Think'n About U," and the Rodney Jerkins-esque "In Da Zone." Like always, they deliver their best work!
I love the Kumbia Kings. If you're a big fan of their first album you will most definitely love this second album of theirs. They put a new twist on the genre of Cumbia, integrating freestyle and hip-hop with their songs. Also, they sing some pretty love ballads in English. It's a great, long CD with different styles of songs. Check it out - you won't regret it!

an incredible album!!!
i remember running to the radio the first time i heard "BOOM BOOM", it was crazy! it had cumbia, rap, the trademark bird and even elements of john lee hooker it seemed. i knew AB had done it again. the sophmore jinx was blown out the box with this release. after i bought the album - it was like finding a pot of gold. "SSH" was even crazier! "Me Enamore" i never stop playing, the english songs are tight, and they even included 5 acts of comedy & a couple of remixes. with a lot of artists releasing albums with 2 hits & the rest fillers - AB truly wanted to give back to his fans. he did that & more!
the first album is a Classic, this one is Legendary!!! GO OUT AND GET IT!

I've been living in Corpus Christi, Tx (Kumbia Kings hometown) for a little over 10 years. This is one of the best tejano band I have ever heard. SHHH! is one album you have to add to your collection. These guys are way to hot to pass up!!!!

To know when a group is good, you have to look at three important things. *Music *Sales *Style, and the KK have that and more.
These cd is HOTTTT, I have to tell you when you listen to a cd over and over and over that means is great, the music is fanstastic and the lyrics are fenomenal , NO WONDER THEY HAVE SOLD MORE THAN A MILLION COPIES :D :D

Muy BUENO, aunque falto un poquito de mas emocion.
Pandora es mi grupo latinoamericano preferido de todos los tiempos.

Pienso que este album esta muy bueno. Se me hace parecido al anterior (En Carne Viva) sobre todo en la manera tan simple de cantar, lo cual lo hace escuchar monotono. SIN EMBARGO, al igual que el otro CD, Uno tiene que escucharlo algunas veces y ahi uno empieza a coger la onda de este CD. EL CUAL ESTA MUY BIEN HECHO Y CANTADO.

YO se que le falta la chispa de emocion a sus voces. Ahi algo que no esta ahi, pero sin embargo las canciones estan super.

EN MI OPINION, la cancion ALGO DE MI es LA MEJOR CANCION.

La interpretacion de PANDORA en esa cancion es excepcional, no le tiene nada que envidiar a las canciones viejas de Pandora.

QUE GANAS DE NO VERTE NUNCA MAS es otra que esta super buena. Lupita D'alessio tiene que estar orgullosa que su clasica cancion ha sido cantada nuevamente y bien hecha (al igual que en Salsa con La India).

ME CUESTA TANTO OLVIDARTE es otra de las que mas me encanta.

La tuve que escuchar dos veces para que me empieze a gustar y me parecio MUY Creativa la manera de Cantar la ultima Parte de la cancion cuando dice " Y AUNQUE FUI YO quien decidio que ya no mas." Les quedo muy bien hecha.

Las otras canciones tambien estan buenas, sobre todo Sin El y La Maldita Primavera.

Muy buen trabajo, no le di 5 estrellas porque le falto mas emocion en algunas canciones, pero de ahi esta muy bueno. Comprenlo!

Honestly, don't bother thanking us!
I have always had a soft spot for Pandora. I consider myself quite the fan. I have always liked their "Abba"-esque harmonies and their ability to sell any song. As time has proven, Pandora continues to inspire Spanish music and their musical history is now deemed legendary. Take a look at the current reality show "La Academia" (Mexico) and you will note the less-than-bold assumption that in every episode, at least one Pandora song is performed or utilized in any given way.

That being said, I must express my dissapontment with what could have been a potentially masterful album. Marketed as their "goodbye" album, this is an album of covers from Spanish pop history, done in the "Pandora" style. They have chosen their favorite tracks and recorded them as a way to state that they feel they will join the lights of the classics they are interpreting, from Mocedades (Eres Tú) to Mecano (Me Cuesta Tanto Olvidarte) to Amanda Miguel (El Me Mintío). The performance for the latter alone is enough to give this album a -10. Hailed by many as a love classic, Pandora sings it in the same way one would read a grocery list. Monotonous and unenthused!!

The entire vibe of this album is missing. I would like to think that they set out to purposely keep it monotonous and low key, as a way for one to focus on the message and not be distracted by the musical arrangement, but even the word phrasing on this album is quite horrid, that even Pandora sound dissapointed! If Pandora were not enjoying the making of this CD, how can they expect for the rest of us to keep attention??

The album does have one sweet moment. The intro to their re-recording of their own classic "Como Te Va Mi Amor" was sung briefly by the women's children. It's a sweet corner stone where their blood meet their work. That being said, the re-recording sounds like back drop music to a car commercial.

Ultimately, I believe that only Pandora worshippers can tolerate this album. For music geeks like myself, we have come upon better. I know for a fact that Pandora is capable of doing great work. WHY would they want to lock themselves down and releasing such a misleading and dissapointing goodbye?? It almost makes me wish they would have not bothered at all, for I would have had a lasting impression of the once-great vocal group, Pandora.

We will miss their angelic voices!
This is by far the best cd Pandora has recorded, the song selection could have not been better, such classic songs in their voices and with new and crisp arrangements can only sound ear candy.
They even went to the extent of recording a new version of "Como te va mi amor" with the sweet voices of their offsprings as an intro.
14 songs to say goodbye to all of us fans, since this is their final recording.
Mecano, Marisela,Camilo Sesto, Valeria Lynch, Lupita D'Alessio, Yuri, Mocedades, Alvaro Torres and Amanda Miguel should be proud of the amazing vocal arrangements Pandora provided to their hits. ... Read more

A GREAT MEXICAN WALTZ CD
There is one waltz missing on the cd: Rosas' Sobre Las Olas. Other than that this is cd is very pretty. Anything with Solis' voice is worth the price to get.

The Best of La Mafia in 1 Package
I love this CD compilation. It has 20 of the greatest songs ever performed by La Mafia. They have so many great songs, but choosing some of my favorite songs i.e, Me Estoy Enamorando, Un Millon de Rosas,etc; was the best thing they could do. I've grown up listening to La Mafia, and since day one I fell in love with their rythmic tex-mex lyrics. And what else can I say but these songs are off the hook. Lucero en Mexico
I have been a fan of Lucero for quite a while. I also am not a big fan of live recordings. This CD to me is very good.

Lucero to me, while a very good singer, has not shown that strong deep voice needed for mariachi songs. On this album, she shows she's got and does a very good job at it.

Any person who loves the beautiful music of mariachi, Lucero and live music will love this CD. She really does a great job and this CD is very good. I would highly recommend this CD.
