great compillation
i'm a die hard fan of freestyle but the other people who reviewed this box set are stuck in the past. I like the way freestyle music has progressed. They still have their roots and are trying new things. Great group of songs, really got me movin. Plus I really don't mind the aversion from the basic beat to something more uptempo as long as its not trance

Most of these singers need to get with the program.
This CD is Koo because you get all of the collection for 25 dolllars. BUT, out of all 4 CD's excluding the Euro Invasion(forget about those euro invasion cd'd) there are enough songs to probably make 1 good cd. I'll break it down: A lot of songs don't belong on this CD, and they ain't from Canada and make the CD look good. Goods songs are Disc One: tracks 1,2,17,19,20. Disc Two: 2,8(P.S #7 the ughy hughy dughy song is hella gay. Disc Three: 2,4,7,9,10,15, Disc Four: 1,2,3,4,10,11,12,13,15(Best CD). all other songs either were used and has nothing to do with freestyle heaven or are straight up bogussssssss!

YOU CALL THIS FREESTYLE ??
Well you can see by my title to this comment i was defenetly dissapointed with this 5 cd box set.I cant belive i only found one track to be appealing to me, and i love freestyle and i'll give any type of new freestyle a chance, as long as they dont cross the line into euro , progressive type of beats. Well sure enough 85% of these cd's contain euro beats all that progressive stuff you would hear at your downtown club atmosphere.If i wanted to buy a euro/progressive cd i would've done that. I admit they threw in a lil' suzy here and a lil stevie b there but those songs are the 2000 version and do not sound THE SAME.The voices were the original artists but the tones and they way they sing them is totatly diferent from the original way they usually sound .As a freestyle die hard fan i was sad and dissapointed beacause here i thaught i was gonna listen to some new artists and keep the freestyle alive, but now i see why freestyle isn't around anymore because if they come out with music like this and call it freestyle theres no wonder why us the loyal fans stay away from it.Oh and one more thing these songs are not complete from begining to end, they made it a mix wich totaly made me angry.Well is not like if i wanted to hear them in there full versions because this NEW FREESTYLE isn't good anyway.

Cover girls rule
This is the second Cover Girls album I bought. I first heard of Show Me on the radio and I decided to get Show Me cause I liked the title track and because of you. Listen closely to the ballads on Show Me and you'll love them. From the 50's styled that boy to the power hit promise me. It kind of reminded me of the Peter Cetera hit Glory of love and Lionel richie's say you say me. If you love the Cover Girls you'll love their debut album

Latin Soul!
I remember getting this album around 87/88, when good music was hard to come by. MTV was just into it's toddler stages, and rock n roll was the only thing happening---well, that and teenyboppers like Tiffany and Debbie Gipson. I first heard one of their songs on the radio, and damn near fainted! Although they had a "pop sound", it was obvious they were not White. But yet in still, I loved "Because of You," "Show Me" and "Love Emergency" "Spring Love" because of the uniqueness of their voices! Buy this album to reminisce if nothing else.

CLASSIC
If freesyle is your flavor this album is a must. You wont be sorry if you give it a listen!!

are you the type of music listener who cant get enough of artists like Cynthia, Lil Suzy, and Angelina, to name a few? if youre like me then the album "Show Me" by the Cover Girls is an absolute must have. this 1987 Cd was made at the height of the freestyle explosion, the late 80's-early 90's; and several of the songs are STILL requested on radio stations today. im glad i purchased this cd because its what real freestyle music is all about. the catchy love lyrics and distinguishing music is what makes this cd an excellent addition to your collection. personal favorites of mine are "show me", "because of you", and "inside outside". ... What are you talking about?
For one this Cd ain't got nothing to do with Jennifer Lopez, secondly, there ain't no slasa on this cd, thirdly, these songs are better than Jennifer,Fourthly, there's no rap. Best songs are Lamour, Lisseette Rodriguez, Marybelle Love, and Nilsa's "Come In To mY lIfe".

no i don't agree with the other guys review. this cd was just one of the best iv'e heard especially la mour and eye to eye.these songs and their ol school beat just keep up and jamming a real 5 star.peace

It was ok but.....
This album is supposed to be a freestlye cd but sounds no differant than Jennifer Lopez with a little more rap than ole. Its not very good, but the salsa sound keeps it going. Not worth your money, Peace ... Read more

A Fabulous Second Album Visit judytorres.com
On "My Soul", it shows Judy Torres a more new school freestyle/dance style. Her vocals are maturing and she keeps her vocal range unrestrained. In addition to the freestyle/dance songs such as "I Love You for All Seasons", "Every Little Lie", "My Soul", "Windows" etc., there are great R&B/Soul songs such as a cover of "I Go Crazy", "Your My Everything" among others. Another high quality album from this great vocalist. Fans of Freestyle, Electronic/Dance, R&B/Soul, and Pop should give this album a try.

Explosive freestyle compilation
You will not stop dancing to this CD -- many of the songs, like "Scars of Love", which has a distinct late-80's/early 90's feel to it (a golden age of freestyle) with a very modern twist to it. Other great ones include Rosalinda's "Give Me All Your Love", whom isn't signed with a major label, but was extremely hot a couple of summers ago here in the south where Latin freestyle is hotter than Houston in the middle of August. Also includes Robin's "I See Starz", a very trance-like track I've loved for so long but never knew who the #&%@ sung it! I love just about every song on here and if you are a freestyle fan I guarantee you will love it too!
