Aqui no Brasil o freestyle chegou no final dos anos 80 com o stevie B e suas deliciosas baladas dançantes, apesas de na época eu ainda era criança, lembro muito bem das musicas e sinto saudades daquela época que essas músicas tocavam no rádio.

Aqui no Brasil, o freestyle chegou no anos 80 com o stevie B somente. É um ritmo excelente, de uma energia que não se vê mais. Saudades daquele tempo, apesar de eu ter apenas 17 anos, cheguei a viver um pouco dessa essência.

Love It
I have enjoyed music from Lil' Suzy since the first time I heard "Take Me In Your Arms". "Life Gors On" is her third and best album so far. Her vocals have gotten stronger and the material is a little more matured which makes the album even better. My favourite track is the Euro-Dance song "When I fall In Love". A good album to have. Also check out music from these similar artists: Ce Ce Peniston, Judy Torres, Kristine W. and Amber.

a very good high energy cd
Lil Suzy has tremendous talent and continues to grow with this cd. It is fantastic and adds to her collection with great honor. I love high energy and Lil Suzy.

One Of The Best (and ONLY) EURO Compilations Out There
This CD has so many great tracks on it I don't know where to start, so we'll start at the beginning. "Heaven Is Here" by 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor is an excellent euro-trance tune, with soaring vocals by Des'Ray. Next, "Don't Make Me Live Without You"by Kikka is from the S.A.I.F.A.M. camp, with thundering italo-euro bass and great kickdrum work. The vocals aren't that bad either! A cover of "9 P.M. (Till I Come)" by ATF is next, but this cover is nowhere as good as the innovative trance original. Elissa's "We Are Together" is a latin-flavored euro-pop gem that really hits its stride during the chorus, which will stay embedded in your cerebral cortex for quite awhile! Wildside's "Take A Chance" is a darker-edged song from the S.A.I.F.A.M. bunch, and is sprinkled liberally with progressive synthesizers. "Stay", Sash!'s megahit, is next up here with it's booming bass and LaTrec's wrenching vocal performance. "Hide & Seek" by Spunky is similar to "Stay" in many respects, but has more of a pop feel to it, and the lead singer actually sounds a bit like Donna Summer. "Celebrate" by 2 A.M. feat. Naya is a hidden gem on here. Great, pounding euro by an artist I've never heard of! "Say Goodbye" by La Cream on Dr. Alban's Dr. Records is a great eurogressive song with the amazing vocal talents of Tess. Another S.A.I.F.A.M. track appears with Bandido's "For Sale". This is yet more good italo-euro. Shawn Desman's "I Don't Wanna Lose You" is an acquired taste...sort of euro-pop house. But, eventually, the chorus will work its way into your mind. Elucid's "Mamma Mia" is not an ABBA cover. It is a passable eurogressive tune with weak vocals. But I must admit I find myself getting into the groove of this one. "Take My Love" by KromOzone Project starts off with arena-filling synth chords and then becomes a eurohouse stomper. "This Is My Life" by Sarina Paris is eurodance track with tons of energy, though the vocals could use a little work. "Turn It Up & Down" is a mainly instrumental euro track by Cappella in the usual Cappella vein. "Celebrate", by D.J. BoBo, is not nearly as good as some of BoBo's earlier work, like "Freedom", but is a passible eurotrance song. Both "Next To Me" by Impulse and "Space Invaders" from Hit'N'Hide are great examples of bubblegum pop, or Danish TurboPop. "You Know I Love You" by Shine leans more to the mainstream euro sound, and creates a catchy groove in the process. "Get Get Down" by Paul Johnson is a bass-laden house tune that is surprisingly catchy. The compilation ends on a sour note with The Underground Warriors' mediocre cover of "Blue (Da Ba Dee)", originally from Eiffel 65. But don't let that tarnish your opinion...this is one of the best and ONLY euro compilations out there. Pick it up NOW for CLUB NRG!

MUST BUY FOR A FAN OF THIS SERIES
I personally wasn't expecting much from this CD, expecially since the series just died after the second compilation, But i was impressed. The tunes were upbeat, and it was hard to put it down after listening through it. If you enjoy dance music, you should consider this CD, the first few tracks more then make up for the dismal remakes of "mambo #5" and "blue" ... Read more

Can't get this song out of my mind
This is an awesome track by Lil' Suzy who is the pioneer of female-vocal freestyle/dance music. She paved the way for others like Rockell and Cynthia. This song has great, easy-to-learn lyrics, cool basslines, and neat sound-efx. The remixes do not disappoint. The standouts are the "Wild Style" and "Suzy's Freestyle" trax... even though every track is a winner. If you have never heard any of Suzy's music, then you better get to checkin' it out! Once you do, you won't be able to Get Her Out of Your Mind. If you liked my review, then don't forget to vote. THANKS!

The best dance beat
This song is awsome. We play it at a roller rink were I work. This gets all the girls pumped up. The DJ at the place always plays it for a all girl skate. Lil Suzy needs more hits like this one. ... Read more

I LOVE THIS CD!
I am hoping amazon.com gets this CD back as right now it's out of print. It has my #1 fav. song ever, Waiting For Your Love. Waiting For Your Love is the best song on this album. Dream About You is good too. Funky Melody is an awesome freestyle track. But Dream About You and Waiting For Your Love are the best ballads that you will ever hear. They're AWESOME! Stevie B rocks! If you haven't heard Stevie B before, this is his best album out of all of them to buy! I am disappointed though, as the only Stevie B albums in print are "Healing" "Right Here Right Now" and "Best of Stevie". They should bring back "Funky Melody" and his older CD's like "Love and Emotion" "In My Eyes" "Party your Body".....Anyways, Funky Melody is the best out of all of them...

Excellent!
This CD is absolutely the best of Stevie B's music. The songs "Dream About You" and "Waiting For Your Love" are absolutely wonderful. You can listen to them over and over and never get tired of them. "Funky Melody" is another one of the great hits on this CD. I highly recommend this CD. Buy it if you can come across it.

Dream about you is the best love ballad i have ever heard
I became a stevie B fan a few yrs back as i heard "i wanna be the one", which is an absolute classic. But the ballads on funky melody kill anything he has ever done. Dream about you and waiting for your love are two of the greaest ballds i ever heard. Who hasnt cried listning to "dream about you" when u know that grl or guy is only reachable in your dreams.Furthermore, his voice knows how to talk to you and is very unique compared to alot of others. The king of freesyle will never diasspoint, so bow down and give him the props he deserves.

FUNKY MELODY -- Stevie B
One of his best, yet. A bass-thumpin CD. And it even has the original THUMP version of one of the most famous of Hmong Love Anthems: "WAITING FOR YOUR LOVE". Each song has it's own unique Stevie B beat to it and the bass is sure to POUND your ear drums the Stevie B way. So, to all my Hmong brothers and sisters, I say...if you're a Stevie B lover, you gotta get his CD!

for those who are either in love or broken hearted
for anyone that is into old school freestyle beats or are either in love or broken hearted should have this CD in their collection. one of the best CD's that Stevie B has put out ever. from "waiting for your love" to the "dream about you (drop mix)" is pure listening bliss. It's what we danced to at the start of the 90's!
With "Two to Make It Right", "Clouds", "True Love", and "You Take My Breath Away" (featuring a surprisingly good lead from David Cole) as the standout tracks, the rest of this compilation is routine "retro disco" from the time period.

The pair is better represented on "Gonna Make You Sweat" and "The Ultimate C & C Music Factory".

Good songs...
...but they are very similar! This is just basic pop music!

Don't Get Me Wrong, But...
I was noticing that quite a few reviewers and fans of this popular 80's Euro dance group wonder why an American label has not picked them up or distributed their music stateside. Four words. Stiff competition & younger audience. For those of us who grew up listening to the likes of groups like Bad Boys Blue in the 80's have had to make room,unfortunatley, to the more "hipper" younger groups like N'Sync and Back Street Boys.this is what teens and younger kids want (at least most of them). Unless BBB was to go alternative or rock, they would get lost in the shuffle here in the U.S.Just like another popular female music Euro artist named Sandra, unforntunately there's no more room or younger audience demand for this music anymore;It comes down to the almighty American marketing dollar and question, "Are European artists likely to be more succesful and cover a larger area around the world (profit and artistic-wise in Europe and Asia) or just in the U.S.A?

This compilation displays the best of the best by Bad Boys Best for the mid to late 80's and nothing more. Without insulting my fellow Americans, let's just say the global European/Asian market covers more territory with regards to foreign countries having a more relaxed mind on artistry and not so much focus on the mighty dollar...

Lil' Suzy.... I Still Love U!!
Lil' Suzy is the pioneer of female-vocal freestyle/dance music. She paved the way for others like Rockell and Cynthia. This single is great because it does not include the "808 Radio-Edit", which is god-awful because it is so slowwwww. The standouts are trax 1-4.The "808 Club Mix" is pretty good, also. The "Accapella" track would be cool to add your own beats behind it.Check-out Suzy's other stuff, too, because it is all outstanding. If you liked my review, then don't forget to vote. THANKS!

This CD is tite
This CD is worth Buying. This CD's best songs are all the songs, especially Baby doll, Samantha Gervasio, and The rest of the female artist. It has nice melodies. This CD is from 95', when freetyle was coo!

Caution: Contents May Burn
In in a series of freestyle compilations, Tazmania Vol. 5 carries on the tradition which made it stand out from the rest. I'm speaking of quality production, vocals, lyrics, and unique melodramatic melodies. Notable songs include Pure Pleazure's "Bring Me Back", Pain's "Share this Moment", and Sammy C's "Tonight". If you're into hardcore oldschool freestyle, then this album is worth having. If not, then get with it!

Great for reminiscing!!!
All of the Freestyle CDs are worth buying. The comeback of dance music has arrived, thanks to local radio stations such as 103.5, KTU (New York). "I Won't Stop Loving You" by C-Bank is the epitome of what freestyle is all about! When I listen to these CD's, it brings me back to the summers of the late 80's and early 90's.
