Excellent Dance
I originally bought this CD used, but it was scratched and could only hear half of the songs, so I bought a new one, and am so glad I did! I listen to this CD so much at work, when coworkers enter my area, they ask if I can only afford one CD (I have hundreds and they know it). One of the best songs on the CD, has no sample! What a shame, Track 12 Keta-ManStrong Enough is the BOMB.Shining Path Under the Milky Way and Garden Eden Lemon Tree both great as well.Well worth the money, and a MUST for anyone who enjoys Dance as much as I do.

A GREAT 80'S COMPILATION, BUT DEFINITELY NOT DISCO!
Let's hope you're not buying this with the expectation of having the world's greatest disco party. You'll end up disappointed. Fortunately, you will still have great music, but it'll be from the following decade. These tracks were all 80's hits in the clubs.

The sexy sound of G.T.
If you dig those sexy thumping drum beats of the ol' school, then you'll be feel'n this comp. GT and his boy Tolga from South Florida have that nice flava that made freestyle kick it with the best of em' back in the day. This comp also has a couple of nice grooves from GT'S gal Cherokee. Her hit "don't go away" has those rugged beats, a nice hook, and passionate vocals that made her a fav on the FM dial.
All around a solid addition to your freestyle collection. Scoop this one up especially if you've got Tolga & friends comp.

CANT BELIEVE MY EARS!!!!!!!
WOW.....Just like the title says.....Cant Believe my Ears!!! This is an unbelievable compilation. Of course we have come to expect nothing but the best from the Judge. But this one beats them all. I can not believe that the Judge could out compile that first album of the Clubbed series, but he has definetly done it this time. The first CD is a hard house and big beat annual. There is this "Monkey Lover" track on there that you cant help but get up and shack your arse too!! Also, Mauro Picotto helps out with 2 of his own tracks on it and a one from his group. The second disc starts out pretty trancy with tracks like 10 in 01 by "Members of Mayday"....Nick Warren's group, and Tall Pauls latest work "Precious Heart" the INXS dub!! After about 8 or 9 great trance anthems the Judge gets hard again and ends the compilation on body moving hard dance note!!! I said it on his other one and I'll say it again...."By far the best compilation of 2001".....It's Awesome! ... Read more

SOME GREAT MEMORIES!
This is a great collection of very hard to find classics. It brought back some "disco dancefloor" moments from the past. Especially noteworthy are "Victim" by Candi Staton, "The Night The Lights Went Out" by Trammps, and "Harmony" by Suzi Lane. Most of these songs are extended mixes and very hard to find, especially on CD. So where is Volume 2? A suggestion for the next volume is the full album mix of "That's Where The Happy People Go" by Trammps. If anyone knows where I can find that on CD, please let me know.

Great Dance Classics!
What a great album. I bought this for the Womack cut (the best song on the album) but soon got into its other songs: the song about the NY blackout in the 70s, "The Night the Lights Went Out," the tropical-sounding "The Real Thing" and the superb "Love Has Come Around." If you love 70s dance hits and are looking for obscure but good stuff you can't go wrong here. Many of these songs are very hard-to-find otherwise. ... Read more

Not the Best 90's Dance Compilation
"Absolute Dance Hits" isn't the best 90's dance compilation I've ever heard, but it's still pretty good to listen to occasionally. Most of the songs are upbeat and fast, except for the last track (#12) by the Righteous Brothers, which is the only slow song on here. This is probably the most disappointing track, too. Even though "Unchained Melody" is slow to begin with, I thought they just butchered it in this remix. I liked the original version much better.

There are also a few other "old school" remixes thrown in, like track #2 ("Celebration" by Kool and the Gang) and #7 ("December 1963 (Oh What a Night)" by Four Seasons). But my favorite would have to be #9 ("Send Me An Angel" by Real Life), the Extended Dance Mix. I loved this song back then in the 80's, but it sounds even better now.

Skipping back to the beginning is another notable song: #1 ("How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes). Although I never liked the unmixed/original version of this song when it aired on the radio a few years ago (constantly, I might add), just adding the beats made it much more tolerable, in my opinion. money grab
the original cd of this title had 16 songs and better titles. It is a shame that amazon.com has not done a better job of telling the manufacturer of this cd not to scame thier customers with two cd's of the same title

Beware!
Evidently there are at least two CDs with the same title "Back to the 70s." The one listed here with 16 original tracks was not the one I received. I recieved one with only 10 tracks, and only one title in common with those listed here ("One toke over the line") Moreover, the CD I received was not of the original hits, but rather new recordings by the same artists. They sound just different enough to be annoying. Thankfully, Amazon has agreed to to refund my money.

Great Listening Adventure!
Sexy, funky, easy listening. A combination of many things, but best of all, it's different and fun!

This is my favorite CD right now...
I recently purchased this while looking for some new downtempo. It looked cool so i thought I'd give it a try. I've listened to it a few times today and keep thinking about it. I've heard alot of boring downtempo that just seems to sit there but this stuff is really memorable. Headphone listening is the best! Deep tribal, ambience with lounge and funky beats mixed with some lo-fi and experimental twists marks a superb listening experience. I highly recommend this CD! ... Read more
