5-0 out of 5 stars CHRIS and GENIE are my two all-time greats
I love Chris Rice, and also his friend Genie. They both make such awesome worship music. Very relaxing.

5-0 out of 5 stars A five star career and a good "Best Of" Collection
If you've read my other reaviews on Chris Rice's albums my bias has already come through. I love the guy. Chris Rice is an artist of honesty, substance and true musical skill. His career has spanned four solo records, two piano instrumental records, several cameos on other recordings and now this greatest hits complilation.

Of the 17 tracks on the disc, two are new recordings, two are live, one is a rearrangement ("Untitled Hymn") and the remaining 12 are original album tracks from his four studio albums (his two piano instrumentals are not represented on this record).

As far as evenness goes, this compilation quite well represents his four solo albums. 3 cuts from Deep Enough to Dream, 3 from Past The Edges, 4 from Smell the Color Nine and 2 from Run The Earth, Watch the Sky.

The two new cuts, Mama Pray's and Go Light Your World were both written by Chris before he had a recording contract.

Go Light Your World (written 1993) has the feel of a camp song, encouraging Christians to take the light in them that God has given to them and take it out to the world. He states in the liner notes that we should be using our time and energy bringing light to the darkness around us rather than trying to impress or outshine each other.

Mama Prays is a warm tribute to two prayerful parents. As always, beautifully arranged and produced by Monroe Jones.

Clumsy appears as a live track recorded in 1998. Chris Rice is great live as well as in the studio, and it's awesome to hear the organic and energetic atmosphere of Chris live, interacting with his audience and eveolving his music.

Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus), which has become a hit single on the CCM charts is presented here as a guitar tune. Just like the original recording from Run the Earth Watch the Sky was simple piano and voice, this new recording is simple guitar and voice. Each version preserves the purpose of the song, and I personally like it when artists create new versions of older songs for greatest hits complilations. Good job on this one.

Cartoons is presented here as the original live version from A Night in Rocketown. Incidentally that is a great album overall especially since it has four Chris Rice tunes live!

The nicest thing about this record is that there is just enough new or revised material on the CD to make it worthwhile for a Chris Rice fan like myself who has all the other records he has made or appeared on. The song selection is very good. Personally I hope it will move more people to discover this awesome artist.

5-0 out of 5 stars A perfect journey through the musical career of a humble man
I learned of Chris's music fairly late in his career so I had only heard the songs from his latest record, but something just told me to buy this CD...I knew it would be good. Having only had it for 1 day, I already know all the words and have listened to little else. For newbies, this would be a good choice because it's such a range of his styles. For the seasoned Ricer it's got almost all the favorites on it.

Highlights include:
Deep Enough to Dream - Passionate, catchy tune
Go Light Your World - Reworked standard, nicely changed, inspirational
Smellin' Coffee - Fast paced, upbeat, joyous, my personal fav.
"I'm smellin' coffee, birds are singing just outside. Here comes your mercy streaming in with the morning light."
The Other Side of The Radio - Catchy, cute
Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus)- Unless you've had your head in a hole then you've heard this on the radio, it's slow and honest. :)
Smile - Almost like a love song to a person, but directed towards God.
Face of Christ - True story song about faith, very moving.
Cartoons - No collection would be complete without his "monster" as he puts it. An unplanned favorite that he does because it's so requested. Love it! "Ya-ba-da-ba-lluah!"

As you can see I highlighted more than you would normally highlight but when I started to look down the track list, I just couldn't leave many of them out. Bottom line, if you like this kind of music, it's a GREAT disc! You'll be toe-tappin' and experiencing God in 5 minutes, I guarntee it! What a wonderful experience this has been. Pick it up, NOW! You won't regret it.

5-0 out of 5 stars SHORT TERM MEMORIES ARE THE BEST ONES
As a rule, I'm not a fan of "classics" or "greatest hits" compilations. This one, however is distinctive. It really is a compilation of Chris Rice classics -- songs that actually highlight his whimsical yet mature and deeply thoughtful writing abilities and his smooth as silk James Taylor-ish vocal abilities. For someone not familiar with his work, or for the veteran Chris Rice fan who refuses to illegally "burn" his own best-of collection, this is Chris Rice in review, and it's a good sound parade to hear. Only two minor changes I would have made. First, I would have stuck with the original piano-driven "Untitled Hymn (Come To Jesus)" rather than creating an acoustic guitar version. Second, I would have run the "hidden track" version of "Cartoons" off of the "Past The Edges" CD. Still, I don't want to detract from what is a classic "classics" CD with the best Chris Rice short term memories!

5-0 out of 5 stars Long Term Hits
Seven years ago, Rocketown Records released the first CD from their first artist. It's hard to believe it's only been that long since we were introduced to the music of Chris Rice. That very first CD captured me with his honest, poetic, and fun lyrics. Each release has continued to impress, challenge, and encourage me.

After four regular releases and two piano CD's under his belt, Chris now releases this best of. While it often seems like labels are rushing into collections these days, Chris has already had 11 #1 songs, so there's plenty of material. In fact, with 17 songs and over an hour of music, fans can't complain about being shorted at all.

The CD offers two new recordings from Chris. The first is his classic song "Go Light Your World." While a huge hit for Kathy Troccoli, this is his first recording of it. Also featured is his new song "Mama Prays." While the subject of parents' prayers affecting their kids is nothing new to Christian music, Chris manages to put a new spin on it that really shows the power of prayer.

Also featured are two new recordings. "Clumsy" features a live recording from a concert in 1998. His latest hit, "Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus)" also gets a slightly new arrangement - this time a studio cut, however.

Which brings us to the previously released hits. As I said earlier, there are a plethora of them, and everyone should be pleased. It opens with "Deep Enough to Dream" and cycles through "Smellin' Coffee," "The Other Side of the Radio," "Smell the Color 9," "Welcome to Our World," and "Smile (Just Want to be with You)" to highlight a few. All four of his traditional releases are well represented with this even mix of songs.

And, yes, for those wondering, it does included "Cartoons." It's the last track and is the live version from the "Night in Rocketown" CD.

It's a sign of how much I love Chris's music that I can name at least one song from each CD that should have been included but wasn't. Still, this is a strong compilation that will be a must buy for hardcore and casual fans alike. And if you happen to have missed out on this wonderful artist, this is a great introduction to his more popular songs. Just keep in mind that this barely scratches the surface of the wonderful music that awaits you. ... Read more

An impressive thread of praise and worship runs through the career of Michael W. Smith. After all, he's penned two of today's finest modern praise songs ("Great Is the Lord" and "Agnus Dei"), and he was the creative genius behind Exodus, a brilliant collection of worship material. Yet that same artistic spirit seems sadly lacking on Worship, Smith's first solely praise and worship release. All parts are assembled, with Smith on vocals and keyboards, and an all-star choir of Amy Grant, Phillips, Craig & Dean, Chris Rice, Cindy Morgan, and others backing him on this live release. But outside of a few selected tracks ("Let It Rain" and "Draw Me Close"), Worship falls flat. Smith's decision to cover the day's most popular praise songs and not focus on new material of his own weakens the record's impact. In fact, "Purified," one of two studio tracks on the release, was cowritten by Smith and his wife, and it's the CD's brightest moment. While Worship is not a forgettable release, it is, unfortunately, predictable. --Michael Lyttle ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars True Worship...
I was bothered by the editor's and even some of the customers' reviews that I had read about this CD.

This is by far one of the best that I have heard. I have heard other praise and worship projects that offered nothing but entertainment, and not true worship. It does not matter to me if the songs on this recording were done in the eighties or the nineties. They still usher in the presence of the Lord. I find myself crying out "I'm desperate for you" whenever "Breathe" is playing. I find myself in tears whenever "Angus Dei" is playing because I can't help but recognize that our God is holy and worthy to be praised. I find myself craving for more of the presence of the Lord whenever "Draw Me Close" is playing.

This is one of those praise and worship CD's that I personally cannot get tired of. I admire Michael W. Smith for taking this direction because the Lord is seeking true worshippers in this day and time. I hope that I do not sound preachy, but true worship is so important to me. "Worship" did not let me down when I purchased it. I told my pastor's wife about getting this CD. She told me later that this is the one that she plays all of the time because it draws her into the presence of the Lord. "Worship" is a powerful recording and I look forward to purchasing the video...

5-0 out of 5 stars Never more moved
I would like to disagree with the Editorial review posted by Michael Lyttle. I think the comments made by him about Smitty's talent are definitely on track. However, his comments saying the album was flat and predictable are way off track.

I think Smitty chose correctly by only including one of his original songs on the CD and not perform it with the others. The purpose of the concert was to record live a meaningful Praise and Worship event. Other artists were giving of their time with their recording companies blessing to help create a moment in time that would move other's. How could Smitty selfishly do something like play more of his own music when other's were giving selflessly? He was selfless as well.

That intent was more than well met. This CD is absolutely awe inspiring. The way the songs flowed into each other from beginning to end could not have been more well thought out. I still get misty eyed when I listen to certain songs and not just Let it rain or Draw me close.

From the beginning with the two girls reading scripture to the ending with More Love More Power, the presence of the Holy Spirit was obviously present. How else could you explain the powerful blending of artists who have never performed together as a group? They came together the day of the concert to perform. To my knowledge that was the only time they met.

The way the voices flowed and meshed is nothing less than God planned. Think about it. No one voice other than Smitty's really stood out and that couldn't be helped because he had his own microphone at the piano. His blended in as well.

Each song has hit me harder than when I heard the orginal artist perform it. I take this CD with me whenever I am helping my landlady out by painting or cleaning an apt. I listen to it at home when I do homework.

It brings in the spirit of God in a way that I am sure He is pleased with. If he wasn't pleased, how would you explain the success of this event? Or the timing?

There is no way Smitty or anyone could have predicted the events of 9/11 to happen. To have this spiritually moving event be released on the day of such a tragedy can answer the question where was God?

He was there reaching out to help all of us with our grief and struggles when that tragic day happened. He was there when the recording was made and He's here with us now as you are reading this.

Praise and Worship music is meant to help usher us into the presence of God in a way that hymns can't accomplish. It is meant to help us experience worship in a way that we haven't before. This CD does an outstanding job in answering that need.

5-0 out of 5 stars Inspirational
I love worship and Worship! This CD is inspirational and it focuses on the true spirit of worship - Jesus - the Heart of Worship. Indeed, the true spirit of worship is not entertainment, or clever artwork, but all should be about giving thanks to God. This CD is all about giving thanks to God and being joyful in God's love for us. It is the best experience I have had with a CD! A must for anyone. The music is simply beautiful- and truthful. Even my non-Christian friends were impressed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Smitty project ever
I think this was Michael W Smith's best work. He didn't write a lot of new material like one comment stated. However, that didn't matter to me. This is a heartfelt collection of songs that give glory to God. Open the eyes of my heart, Above All, and Forever were my favorites. I have to admit that at first listen, I thought " Let it Rain " was the most repetitive aggravating song ever. It grew on me though. I did like the scripture reading in the middle of the song to break the monotony. This album is a must have for praise and worship lovers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow! Awesome!
Being a Michael W. Smith fan, in my humble opinion, this is his best yet!

The cd is certainly reverent and has the depth that is lacking in the "feel good" music of other Christian "artists". The focus is our utter dependence on God and how helpless and hopeless we are apart from Him!

Songs such as "Let It Rain" and "Crucified" point the listener to the supremacy and throne of Jesus Christ.

Highly recommended! Listen and be prepared for some serious worship! ... Read more

I was hoping to find a good Christian-based wedding CD and thankfully, found this one. I used many of the tracks on this CD for reception music.

4-0 out of 5 stars Inspirational Wedding Music
I recently bought this CD and I am happy to report that I wasn't disappointed. I found some beautiful music which I hope to use in my October 2003 wedding ceremony. I think there are some other Christian songs out there that would have been appropriate for this CD, but overall I would have to say this is a beautiful album and would reccommend it to anyone who is looking for inspirational music for their wedding.

There are few, if any, Christian artists who better understand the dynamics of worship-oriented rock music than Chris Tomlin. On Not to Us, his second major-label release, Tomlin raises the bar for anyone who ascribes to this ever-increasing popular format. He has a knack for blending irresistible melodies and catchy choruses that nearly always leave a pleasant aftertaste. Tomlin's wall-of-guitars sound on the opener, "Everything," the title track, and the anthemic "Famous One" cooks up enough firepower to light a church service. His constant touring with the One Day worship caravan over the last few years has clearly taught him how to lead the crowd with loud. But he can also deftly switch gears while never losing focus. There's nice counterbalance with the softer testimony of "Come Home Running" and the beautiful "Wonderful Maker." Ultimately, Tomlin showcases here a seldom-matched instinct for infusing familiar rock phrasing with modern worship at no cost to the integrity of either. --Michael Lyttle ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Chris Tomlin Is Incredible!
This sophomore project by Christ Tomlin will only continue to propell him to the top of the worship leaders world. Chris does an excellent job of blending theologically sound doctrine with memorable lyrics and interesting melodies. The enitre album is of the highest quality. Enough (track #2) is a standout. Tomlin pours out a love for the savior in this chart topping worship song. It is destined to become a classic in the vein of SHOUT TO THE LORD. Famous One (track Number 5) reminds the listener that God is the great I AM and we are not --- great is His name in all the earth! The title track is also a highlight. It reminds the listener that all that is in the world is under Gods's hand. He deserves the glory for all that we do. If you are a Passion worship fan or are just looking for a worship album that moves your soul this is for you. NOT TO US is free from the sugary sweet lyrics that permeate some of the other worship music available today. It is written and performed from the heart. Also, if you get the chance to see Chris Tomlin live take it. He is an anointed worship leader who will help to take you to the very throne of God Almighty!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not to us, but we can certainly listen to it!
Chris Tomlin has recently concentrated his musical talents on touring with Delirious? and Passion, so when news broke free that he would be releasing a new studio album in the vein of "The Noise We Make", all were ecstatic.

And we haven't been let down: the ten tracks are well worth the money, from the energetic "Not to Us" to the poignant and thriving "Famous One", every song is an instant hit; Christian anthems to be sung with passion. This is what would happen if U2 started to write worship music.

Why not five stars? Perhaps a slightly more stripped-back, non-electric approach to a couple of songs would have been nicer: its all very polished and has been mixed well, but one or two tracks go slightly ott in places.

Watch out for the song written with Matt Redman, and buy it now, it is a worthy addition to anybodies collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thankful for God-led worship leaders
I praise God for awesome worship leaders like Chris Tomlin. Him and his band did a great job. And I admire them for their dedication and love of serving and glorifying God's name. This is a must to have album if you're into the "rock" music and if you like to sing praises.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sets the Standard
I don't know how Chris Tomlin keeps doing it. This album is one that sets the standard for modern worship music. You've probably heard almost half this album already in worship services everywhere. "Not to Us" is one of my all-time favorite songs, powerful, rockin', and shades of U2. "Come Home Running" is a beautiful, thoughtful song that is the opposite in tempo but an equal in quality. I'm astonished by the variety of songs on this album and it has to be one of my all-time favorites of this genre. You can't go wrong.

5-0 out of 5 stars This album is more than enough for your ears.
OK, this has to be one of the best worship albums ever. Every song on the album has truth and is honoring to God. I especially like "Enough". ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars God Bless Pastor Donnie!
This is the first time I've ever really listened to anything
done by Pastor Donnie Mcclurkin.
What else can I say other than, this album is a blessings to anyone who listens to it.
The songs "Holy", "Create in me a clean heart" and "So In Love"
Really minister to you heart and soul. They DO usher you straight into the presence of God.
Whoever does not have this album, doesn't know what their missing!

5-0 out of 5 stars God Sent, God Used.
I thank God for Pastor Donnie Mcclurkin. His music and his life has touched so many lives. I am not talking about the young ladies who are infatuated with him and hoping to get a chance with him. I am talking about the people who love GOd and can relate to Pastor Donnie's life and struggles and are go very glad to get a message that God will deliver and set free. I know Pastor McClurkin has the annointing of God when I see and hear people getting delivered through his music. I have my own testimony of how I had messed up so badly that I thought I was worthy only of death but the Lord ministered to me through Pastor McClurkin's song, "The Cross". I will never forget how there was a reviving in me when I awakened from my sleep with the words of that song ringing in my spirit and the Lord saying to me, "If I took your sins and struggles to the cross with me, why are you still carrying them". Right then I released them to God and I have been free every since.
Thank you Pastor McClurkin and may you continue to be used so mightily by God.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worship! Worship! Worship!
This is an awesome worship CD! Donnie McClurkin has once again allowed the Holy Spirit to use him to bring us before the Throne.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this album, but to the fans this might be a shock!!
Hey everybody!!! I want to say that this is a phenomenal album to all, but no one has mentioned the song "Special Gift". Donnie pulled one of the most greatest singers out of The Hawkins Family. LYNETTE HAWKINS STEPHENS!!! She is talented and beautiful. He honored her throughout the song on his concert. Did any of you see what she was wearing?!!??!! She was wearing a very low shirt, with pants, and a jacket. ALL BLACK!! The problem is not the "all black" part or the pants. It's the low shirt problem. I don't have a problem with low shirts either. I wear them my self. It's the way Donnie's eyes were wondering in THE WRONG PLACES!!! All the while she was singing, he was staring right at her breast. If he is such a holy-sanctified singer, he shouldn't be looking at her breast. It's not her fault, it's his. Lynette can wear what she likeS. At least she was singing God's Word. I'm not saying that just because I like her, but it's true. I personally think that her outfit was cool. Some people say that it turns heads, and it does. But Donnie had no right to stare at her breast after he called HIMSELF a saved person. I know he might be saved, but saved people know that in the bible it says that it is a sin for a man to look at a woman sexually immorally. And that's what he was doing. Now, for the people who haven't listened to the album or seen the video, I don't want to change your mind. I'm just telling you what really happened and my opinion.
Thanks for listening!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh, what a blessing!
This CD is an absolute blessing! I have to admit that when I first got the CD, I slept on it. I listened to it once or twice while doing other things and dismissed as "not as good as the last one." Then a couple of months ago, I pulled the CD out thinking it was Donnie's Live in London CD and popped it into the CD player. And it's been one of my favorites ever since.

I looooooove the song "All I Ever Really Wanted" and the remake of "Special Gift." I haven't found one song on the CD that I don't either like or absolutely LOVE!!! Pastor McClurkin has a very special gift of ministry that has definitely touched my life and enriched my faith. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing compellation.
When I first received this two-disc set, I was a little hesitant (I had been a fan of the "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever" compellations and had actually never heard a WOW one before). Once I really took the time to listen through all the songs (there are 33!), I was truly amazed. There are some great classics, such as Twila Paris's "He is Exalted," as well as Michael W. Smith's "Awesome God" (which is a very powerful way to start out the CD). But there is a wide variety of refreshing, new songs as well. It's the perfect blend. I tend to listen to "Our Love is Loud" (one of the bonus songs) when I want a high-energy song, and "God of Wonders" for a meditative mood. But my favorite song, by FAR, on this CD is "In Christ Alone." It is just amazing...the lyrics are incredibly powerful, and the sound is inexplicably uplifting. I would recommend this CD just to hear that song alone, but luckily everything else is great too -- definitely buy this product!

5-0 out of 5 stars Inspires & Touches Your Spirit
I own several of the Wow cd's and this one is the best. It contains some of the best versions of popular songs like Michael Smith's inspiring "Awesome God," Katinas' "Draw Me Close," (the best), 4 Him's "Thy Word" and Rebecca St. James' "Breath." Other songs are great too: Hungry, You are My All in All, You are my King and Heart of Worship. I play this CD all the time and played it for friends, tears flowed. A wonderful gift cd.

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST WOW CD to date!
Although every one of these WOW CD's are great, this one is over the top! The CD would have been worth it if it came with just one, but a double CD with all of the great music and artists makes it the best.

There will be tempo in here for everyone, and the song selection is just plain fantastic. Pop this in your car on your way to work and show up happy and energetic. Pop it back in on the way home from a long day and you will at your destination calm and relaxed.

This is a great purchase that you can't go wrong with.

5-0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!!!
This is a great cd with a number of great songs... I highly recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a heart touching and powerful CD
A friend introduced me to this CD and I can't stop listening to it. Many of the songs give me chills and you can just hear the heart and soul that the singers put in to creating such wonderful songs that celebrate Jesus and his love for us as well as our love for him. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who loves good music, superior voices and adores Jesus. ... Read more

With a career retrospective boxed set and a new CD reportedly full of new material scheduled for release later this year, Amy Grant certainly appears ready for new horizons. But first she pays tribute in fitting form to her earliest influences with Legacy... Hymns & Faith. There's a sprightly effervescence in tracks like "This Is My Father's World" and "My Jesus, I Love Thee," mostly due to the strong country-folk influence of new hubby Vince Gill. "Softly and Tenderly" is rendered nearly perfect by Grant as the age-old classic of redemption is laid down in a moody atmosphere. Transition seems like the motif of this release, as Grant deftly merges one classic into another, as with "It Is Well with My Soul / The River's Gonna Keep on Rolling" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus / That Old Rugged Cross / How Great Thou Art." All in all, Grant pays homage to the hymns that have carried many a church service for decades and the music that has carried her through some tough moments in life. --Michael Lyttle ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Amy's back on track.
I've never been that much of a fan of Amy Grant's pop music. She's always at her best when she returns to her gospel roots, which is what makes THIS album a standout - and well named, as the song selections reflect the rich legacy of church music in America. It is also, I believe, a reflective and intensely personal album, and a reminder that life is hard and sometimes messy, but also that faith heals.

The songs are mostly traditional hymns, tastefully updated, and accented by Vince Gill's understated but well played guitar. My personal favorite on the CD is the medley of "It is Well with My Soul" and a Vince Gill original, "The River's Gonna Keep on Rolling".

This CD won't be a standard at dance parties; on the other hand, it's one that you'll listen to over and over.

1-0 out of 5 stars yawn....boring. What Happened?
There is no spark in this cd, only words set to music, with the usual Vince Gill influence on several songs, that just do not work for Grant's limited and (on this cd) often lifeless vocal range.

I have more hymns on cds, cut by those a lot less famous than Grant, that offer soul, worship, heart, and true ministry. Like someone asked in another review here...WHERE IS THE MINISTRY?

This was a lukewarm disappointment.

However, I do find it a genius PR move to secure her Christian fan base. This CD was rushed for release after her dumping ex-husband Gary Chapman for Vince Gill. Another cd of mainstream music she had planned (Simple Things) was put on hold to secure this release and allay the fear of losing her Christian fans.

What a joke.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This is a great cd! For those who enjoy the old hymns, this is a must buy. Musically anf lyrically-- it is anything but boring. I highly recommend this album! P.S. if you would like to promote Amy go to WWW.STREETALLIANCE.COM FOR MORE INFO!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Legacy - An album for worship and Easter for years to come
This is a wonderful album that takes a new look at some old hymns and a look at some personal songs about Amy Grant's experence with Christ. I like to think of this as an Easter cd. One that can be brought back out from year to year during the Easter season. The songs have lasting power and the arrangements are very moving. The style ranges from bluegrass to pop to easy listening to blues. I am in my 30's and love this album and so do my teenage sons. My fovorite song on this project changes from day to day, but currently is This is My Father's World. I hope God blesses you with this cd as he has me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful & Inspirational!!!
This is a lovely CD, a richly-woven tapestry of classic hymns in soothing (and sometimes jazzy, upbeat) non-traditional arrangements. It is Amy Grant at her finest and best; each song is sung with tenderness, depth and sincerity. I love it, and so does my one-year old son! ... Read more

Gladys Knightat what she does best...inspire the best in all of us! It's beautiful!

5-0 out of 5 stars HMMMMMMMMMMM
Karen Butler's review is ODD yo say the least. She states that she has never before given a negative review.Well anyone can look at her other reviews. She has given a whopping total of FIVE reviews and THREE were negative. She lied? Why?Very odd.Is it really worth that much to lie about something so petty as to what songs Gladys wants to put her name on as singer or director?Isn't it the message that we are all looking for?Or is the meassage of the gospel different? One of the songs is called "Love One Another".Did you listen Karen?

4-0 out of 5 stars I just enjoy it
Well, I have bought the record two weeks ago and I like it pretty much. It is not exactly what I expected but the surprise whas very good. You may be surprised by the changes in the rhythms. Quiet melodies followed by real gospel music. It makes it not bothering. Words are simple but touching. The duos between the choir and Gladys makes it very enjoyable. I particularly enjoy "Love one another" and "He's worthy". Good music, indeed!

2-0 out of 5 stars A Little Disappointed
I actually purchased the CD because it was "Gladys Knight" and gospel music, but prior to opening it I decided to listen to the sample tracks and check out the reviews. Boy am I glad that I did! I really thought that Gladys was the featured artist on the whole CD, not so, she is only singing on a few of the tracks. I liked a few of the selections but not enough to keep the CD. Since the CD has not been opened, looks like this one will be going back to the store. Sorry Gladys. I also heard that Kurt Karr produced this one, so now I'm really dissappointed!

5-0 out of 5 stars great spirit
I was really happy to get this CD and to feel the great spirit of the 100 voice choir directed by Gladys Knight...there are beautiful renditions of a variety of music. Her voice is as great as ever and its awesome that she would turn some of her energy in this direction.I keep this CD close by to put in my car or home system for a great uplift! This CD is on the charts and in our hearts!I share it with visitors...it's a hit! Her love of the Savior is evident in her music. ... Read more

Building off the massive success of Worship, Michael W. Smith is back with yet another collection of worship-oriented material. With Worship, Smitty cleverly captured the essence of today's modern worship movement with familiar material. Don't look for such familiarity on the more eclectic Worship Again, yet the passion of praise still radiates strongly from this mostly live release. Smith showcases his masterful composition skills at the very start, merging Rich Mullins's "Step by Step" into his own "Forever We Will Sing." The end result is a dynamic opener that feeds well into the choral magnificence of "You Are the Lord," another one of Smith's own and another reason why he could be considered one of today's finest hymn writers. It's interesting how Smith also includes the Chris Tomlin-penned "The Wonderful Cross," an ethereal-sounding update of an old hymn, as well as the classic-sounding but little known "Ancient Words." The call-and-answer chorus of "I See You" is another highlight, as is the rocking "You Are Holy (Prince of Peace)." Smith's variations on the worship theme never sound stale. --Michael Lyttle ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Still Good, but not as good as the first 'Worship" CD
CD is a cut above the gluttony of praise and worship CD's that have emerged within CCM released with the past five years and a recommended must buy. This is the high quality one expects from an well renowned artist such as Michael W. Smith. Even though this CD is a little bit below the first CD in terms of song selection, anointing, and feeling the presence of the Lord, it still is a recommended buy. To me, some of the 'spontaneous' feeling of the crowd enhanced in the first CD is missing and it appears to be a little bit more polished, produced, and perfected than the previous CD.

I was not impressed with the 'filler' studio stuff except for the 9-11 influenced song "There She Stands", is a sobering patriotic song about American patriotism and the American Flag written by Smith and Wes King that is so moving.

The the only thing that disappointed me on this CD was that from talking to people who were at the actual concert this CD was recorded from, these people claimed that "Smitty" did a breathtaking version of the song '40' by U2 (which was Psalm 40 placed to music) and unfortunately, this was not on this CD. Many pre-release articles had stated that the '40' song was going to be on this CD. Knowing how Christian Music is ran these days, it was probably deleted because if 40 was on this CD, the 'official Christian perspective (Dobson and others)' would have bashed this CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Michael W. Smith "Worship Again"
I'll start first by saying that this whole album is just a ballad, or a love song to God. If you will break precedent and fall on your knees with your heart in the right place, you'll be in the presence of the Holy Spirit. There's something here for everyone, in my opinion. The album begins with a very mysterious introduction which leads into Rich Mullins' "Step By Step", which, by the way, is part of Smith's own "Forever We Will Sing". It then moves on to a very Celtic/Irish-like atmosphere of worship. The whole album is very mellow and soothing, but powerful in every sense of the word with some beautiful Irish instrumentation and outstanding background vocals! He has some songs of his own that he co-wrote with his wife, Debbie, and "I Can Hear Your Voice" written by Smith, Debbie, and their daughter Whitney. He also composed an instrumental piece called "Sacred Romance" which is very self-explanatory in Christianity terms! It includes 3 studio tracks that are very beautiful and heart-felt, the last of which being "There She Stands" a sobering patriotic song written by Smith and Wes King. If you will just take the moment to let this sink in and dwell on the beauty and power of God's infinite love, this album will deliver something amazing that will make it just as great or better than its predecessor!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good CD
I loved the CD.
It was in good condition and it arrived fast.
However, the cover was cracked a little bit.

5-0 out of 5 stars Once Again, a Great Worship Recording
After the huge success of his 2001 release Worship, Michael W. Smith decided to follow up with this CD. While the title is unfortunately very unoriginal, the CD itself is as wonderful as the first one was.

Again, the majority of the CD is from a live recording featuring Michael W. Smith on lead vocal and piano with others on other instruments and a few people providing the additional vocals. He didn't reunite the all star group from the first CD, but this group of musicians does just as fine a job.

The song selection was more unfamiliar to me when I first got it, but there are some standout songs here as well. My favorite would have to be "The Wonderful Cross." I just love this modern take on the classic hymn. Two Rich Mullins classics are featured, "I See You" near the end and "Step by Step" as part of the opening medley with "Forever We Will Sing." I also really enjoy the last live track, "You are Holy (Prince of Peace)."

Once again, the studio cuts feature a song already on the CD live, this time its "Lord Have Mercy" which includes vocals from Amy Grant. He also includes "Here I Am to Worship" and, as a bonus track, "There She Stands," a patriotic song in honor of the US flag. While I like the song, I do wonder what it is doing on a worship CD.

Fans of the original will love this follow-up. Anyone looking for a good praise CD will find this one fits the bill.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent CD- Highly Recommended
Perhaps if MWS did not entitle this CD "Worship Again," some of the reviewers would have been a little kinder. I don't know MWS, but I would venture a guess that he did not seek to duplicate the essence of "Worship" when he embarked on this production.

Worship Again has its own sound, its own melodies, its own flavor. I did not listen to this CD and try to compare it with its predecessor, because you cannot. Its two different productions.

MWS brings his own unique style- his unique style as a musician and singer, to this live concert. This CD is every bit as worthy of commendation as Worship because of what MWS brings to the table---the heart's desire to glorify G-d with his music. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars ZOEgirl Is Almost As Good As Jump5!They`re A Great Group!
Zoegirl Gets Better Every Album! Now,I`ve Only Heard Two Of The Songs On This Cd,Cause I Don`t Have It,I Just Went To See Them In Concert When They Were On Tour With Jump5,And They Are "Scream",Which Is My Favorite Out Of The Two,And "Reason To Live"!Both Of These Songs Are Awesome,So I Reccomend This Cd To You And Me(Cause I Don`t Have It Yet),Cause The Two Songs Are Definately Worth Buying This Cd Even If You Don`t Enjoy The Other Songs On The Cd!

5-0 out of 5 stars I loved this CD!
ZOEgirl is an absolutely awesome band. They have a great sound, a great message, and really catchy lyrics. My favorites were Dead Serious, Scream, and Not the One. I would suggest this CD to any pre-teen/teenager/young adult. They're awesome.

5-0 out of 5 stars ZOEgirl just gets better every time!
Recently, a friend of mine was sort of teasing me (I was doing it too) about how I had every single ZOEgirl CD, because every time they came out with one, I always ended up liking it. Then, I told her, "well, they have a new one coming out", and then she told me, "well, I guess you're gonna end up getting that one too". She was right. It's been a while since I've listened to ZOEgirl and I didn't think I'd find much interest in them again. After reviewing samples about twice, I finally decided I liked this album, and then I liked it a lot. I just bought it today, and I absolutely love it more than I thought I would! ZOEgirl always seems to get better each time they release a new album. Let me review the songs...

Reason To Live: A perfect opening to the album. It puts a good impression on the album, and should interest you. It has a wonderful tune and vocals. You will find immediately in the song that ZOEgirl has matured very much since their other releases. ZOEgirl always knows how to begin their albums.

Dead Serious: A fun, sassy tune with a good message. It's different, but still carries a classic ZOEgirl sound. It's about holding on to your faith, even when people say you're crazy. Its got a great sound where rock and dance blend nicely together.

About You: The first song off the album to score into a hit. My favorite song on the album. The chorus kind of resembles Avril Lavigne's hit "Complicated", but still carries a sound that is perfectly ZOEgirl. Great song!

Scream: My favorite song on the album (on the same level with "About You"). Amazing, beautiful song. The lyrics are incredibly deep and powerful all the way through. Alisa really did an amazing job writing this song, and singing it. One of ZOEgirl's best songs ever!

Forevermore: A wonderful worship song. The vocals really hit it again. The lyrics are great, and so is the tune and the sound. Highly recommended!

The Way You Love Me: Opened nicely with Kristin's vocals, this is one of the slower songs, but it's still great. Very good vocals! Great tune and music.

Let It Out: After calming down a bit with "The Way You Love Me", the beat really kicks up a few notches! Very fun song! Very fun heavy guitar and tune. ZOEgirl always has some great fun songs that are hard to miss out on. Again, very, very fun song!

Good Girl: This is a good song, but not my favorite. On almost every album, there's bound to be a song that isn't such a score. Most of the sound of this song really resembles an earlier ZOEgirl song called "Inside Out", from their 2003 album "Different Kind Of Free".

Not The One: Cool song! Certainly my kind of sound. Not incredibly fast, but great rhythm and feel.

Skin Deep: Very great song! A good amount of Rebecca St. James influence was put into this song (it reminds me somehow of her song "Give Myself Away", from her 1998 album "Pray"). Chrissy's vocals mature a lot on this one. Awesome style and sound! Highly recommended!

Safe: Very great song. ZOEgirl always carries their own style, but always somehow makes it a bit different on every album. This is an awesome song, and a great ending track. ZOEgirl is awesome with beginning and ending their albums! My other favorite song on the album

I have to say that ZOEgirl REALLY scored this time. The reason why I have all of their albums is because every new album is getting better and better. Like I said earlier, I thought for a while that ZOEgirl wasn't really my thing anymore, but I'm glad I like them again. I can see ZOEgirl will be getting great success from beginning to end (and I don't even know when they'll end!)

4-0 out of 5 stars ZOEgirl Does it Again!
ZOEgirl's latest release, Room to Breathe, is one of the best ZOEgirl titles. It will win you over from the first song, reason to live.
**Reason to Live**
A great song, with all of the classic sounds of ZOEgirl, along with a new flavor unique to this album. Not the best song, but one of the better ones.
**Dead Serious**
My favorite song, Dead Serious is a song that will make you get up on your feet when you listen to it.A combonation of rock and dance, this one is my favorite on the CD.
**About You**
A fun song, there is not much to say about this one.You just have to listen to it.
**Scream**
A slow song, this one is really one of the best.It asks if anyone sees you, with an answer at the end that everyone will love.
**Forevermore**
A fast song, really quickening up the pace after the slow Scream, this one will be sure to make you "lift up your eyes."
**The Way You Love Me**
This is a really great song, with a sound that is new to ZOEgirl, this song will make you listen. Not one of the best, but still worth listning to.
**Let it Out**
This song is fast and fun, my second favorite on the disc. It is much like the song "Feel Alright" from Different Kind of Free.(I've told you before, tell me to be quiet and I'll shout some more)
**Good Girl**
If there is one worth skipping on this CD, this is the one.It is ok, but seems like it keeps going and going. This is a good song if you can sit through it.
**Not the One**
This is a good song. The style is purely ZOEgirl, with the awesome guitar parts, this song is worth listening to.
**Skin Deep**
This song seems like a snoozer at the begining, but as you listen to it, it just keeps getting better.I reccomend giving this song a chance.
**Safe**
An excellent song for the end of the CD, Safe is a great song, with great vocals. It starts out slow, but grows as you listen to it.A great song.

I reccomend this CD to anyone interested in Christian music.ZOEgirl continues to be my favorite group.A great CD!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Zoegirldoes it again!
This is such a terrific cd. I only bought it yesterday, and I'm already in love with it! These girls never cease to amaze me with their beautiful voices and hip, fun, pretty songs. Zoegirl is one of the best christian groups there is...I highly recommend this cd! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars LIVE WORKS BETTER FOR REDMAN
FACEDOWN, the latest work in a growing body of Matt Redman worship songs, is simply amazing. The quality of song-crafting is high, mature and intelligent. No trite sayings or fluffy lines here. Best of all, FACEDOWN is the first full-length solo Redman work done completely live... and does this work! Previous Redman 'albums' (do we still call them as such?) have been done in the studio. This has led to some really great tunes being over-produced and hard to replicate well in a live setting (like churches). THIS work, FACEDOWN demonstrates that tight and rock-edged musicianship can happen live, and NOT detract from an engaging time with God in worship.
Great job, Matt! Please keep 'em coming, you are a gift to the Church!

5-0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary! No Album Gets Worship Better
Facedown is exceptional. Matt Redman has a deep understanding of biblical worship, which pervades every song on this album. This, when combined with his musical creativity, makes for an astounding success. I highly recommend this album to all. It will help you worship more deeply and truly, and, in the process, grow into a more solid understanding of biblical worship. (For more detail, see my review in Worship Leader magazine, July/Aug 2004 issue, and my in-depth review on my website, www.markdroberts.com, "The Soul of Worship").

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
This just takes you higher then brings you 'Facedown'. Matt is obviously inspired by the Lord, he's most definitely sold out to Jesus.

Well done Matt, May the Lord Jesus continue to bless the work of your hands.

5-0 out of 5 stars Matt Redman's best
Infectious. If I had to describe the songs on this album with one word it would have to be "infectious." I realized just how good this album was when I woke up this morning with several of the songs rattling around in my head. These songs are good - musically, lyrically and theologically. Studio recordings of "worship" music often don't convey much of a sense of worship but this "live" album really captures some awesome moments of worship. I've been a Matt Redman fan for a long time and this is my favorite album of his to date. If I had to say something negative, it would be that these songs are not too easy to play/sing for/with congregations/small groups. These songs (like many of Matt's other songs) will take some practice and strong leadership (musically and vocally) if you want to do them (well) with your particular fellowship. But you can't fault the album for that. 5 stars, highly recommended. Stop reading about it and go buy this album.

5-0 out of 5 stars Phenominal!
This is an incredible worship album, perhaps my favorite to be released in recent years, and definitely my favorite Redman album yet. It seems so many "worship" albums these days focus on mankind. This album is in total contrast in the sense that it focus' on the holiness of God (I think he used the phrase 'You are worthy' in just about every song haha!). Add to this reoccurring theme Matt's incredible voice and songwriting abilities and you get an amazing CD =)

Personal favorites are Gifted Response, Dancing Generation, Pure Light, Worthy, You are Worthy, and Mission's Flame.

Hope this helps =) ... Read more

Nichole Nordeman acknowledges that her music isn't easy sing-along stuff. In fact, while her art demands an attentive ear, it promises a wonderful payoff. On Woven & Spun, Nordeman's third release, the self-proclaimed "wrestling poet" has crafted her most profound work yet. It's a release that glitters with rich lyrical content and shimmers with Nordeman's atmospheric piano. While Nordeman still struggles with reconciling life in this world with her eternal hope and faith, she carries a greater sense of intimacy and grace in such vertically oriented tracks as "Holy," "Healed," and "Never Loved You More." Her version of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes"--a cover begging to be done for years by a Christian artist--fits well with the reflective mood of the release. The pinnacle of Woven & Spun has to be Nordeman's ode to God's watchful eye with "I Am," a beautiful, moving tale of how the Almighty has walked closely with a woman from little girl to blushing bride. It's the crowning moment for one of Christian music's brightest hopes. --Michael Lyttle ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Different Themes, Same Great Artist
Nichole Nordeman returns with her third CD, and it's outstanding. Her focus has shifted from searching for God to God's goodness to us. However, she leaves none of her poetic lyrics or sharp insights behind.

Probably one of the things I like most about this CD is that she still finds God's grace amazing. Her thoughts in "Mercies New," "Even Then," and "Never Loved You More" have caused me to wonder again that God bestows his mercy on us at all.

Another favorite track is "Holy." It's a very simple song with a profound message. All God wants from us is to acknowledge how holy He is. All our trying to understand is fine, as long as we never loose sight of that fact.

And I have to comment on "I Am." Easily the strongest track on the album, it's a powerful reminder that God has been and will always be there for us, just as He is right now. Yet our perception of Him changes as our needs change. I can't do this poetic ballad justice, but it's a reminder I constantly need in my life.

Trying to pick a few favorites from this CD is hard; every song is great in its own way. In my opinion, this is Nichole's strongest project to date.

If you've been thinking about giving Nichole Nordeman's music a try, this is the CD to start with. It's a wonderful celebration of what it means to be a Christian, warts and all. Fans will enjoy seeing a different side of this talented artist with all the honesty they're used to hearing.

5-0 out of 5 stars SHE'S OUTSPUN HERSELF ON THIS ONE
This is the best Nordeman CD to date, a fine tapestry of songs woven and spun to about as high a quality as any CD I've heard. Every song is passionately yet thoughtfully sung, painstakingly produced to communicate the message of the song, and absolutely captivating in carrying through the theme of the CD, which is the goodness of God. This CD is so good I can put it on and NEVER hit the "skip" button. Outstanding tracks include "Holy," the lyrically evocative "Healed," My Offering," and a moving life-cycle song, "I Am" -- as well as an excellent cover of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes." Nichole is a word-crafter of depth and precision almost unmatched among Contemporary Christian Music artists. A stirring offering you will find youtself playing over and over -- well worth the $$.

5-0 out of 5 stars Raw Insight
I can't listen to this CD without it touching me deep in my soul. It causes me to rise up and examine myself each day. The CD is a raw insight to her heart. A must for every good music library.

4-0 out of 5 stars No regrets purchasing this CD
I had never heard of NN until I stumbled across one of her songs in a CD containing various collections from CCM music artists. The song was entitled "Every Season." WOW! I was blown away by the style, the lyrics, the voice! I had to find out who this secret person was. I found myself wandering into a christian store and looking for NN's CD's and there it was! I agree with the other reviewer's - her lyrics contain reality, but not to the point where she's drowning in misery about how far God is to her. I give this CD 4 stars because I think what she does is great, but I have my personal opinions about her lyrics and what they're trying to convey. It's hard for me to put it all in a nutshell, but simply put - God has given me such a revelation of the Christian's new identity in Christ..anyways, I'm not putting NN and her music down - you'll just have to check her out yourself. She is by far, one of my favorite music artists!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!
This is simply the BEST cd I own, christian or otherwise. The lyrics are not hokey. The cd will inspire you and make you think. I absolutely love this cd! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars I've been lead astray!!!
I decided to buy this collection based on the other reviews posted here - I was (and am still) looking for a fairly comprehensive collection of hymns that are enjoyable to listen to. I have to disagree with the other reviewers on many points. To me, this is not the "traditional" church music that I grew up with. As I listened to the CDs, I was irritated to find that EVERY SONG SOUNDS IDENTICAL. Have you ever been to a church where they use "canned music" (everything is played from a CD instead of with live instruments, like an actual piano) - that is what this CD sounds like to me. The beat of the music appears to be made with a keyboard's drum machine - it is just so . . .canned - that's the best way I can describe it. I found that I had to make it a real point to listen to the lyrics to disseminate one song from the next - they just all kind of run together because the key is the same, the beat is the same, the voices are the same, the lead singers are usually the same, etc.

Also - one other point - if you like to sing along with the music (females), you will want to have a high soprano voice - all of these songs are way out of my alto vocal range. At times, the choir sounds fairly shrill because all of the music is performed is such a high range.

Don't be drawn in simply because this set is so large. I was really excited to see how many songs this collection contained - truly, all of my favorites that I grew up singing, and still sing in church. Don't be taken in, simply because there are a lot of songs to be had here - I would much rather have half the songs, but some quality to go along with them. Alas, I am going to keep looking for a good collection - this definitely isn't it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Album of Christian Hymns!
This is one of the best music albums I've found! About 2/3 of the songs on this CD are sung with simple organ or piano accompaniment, and the choir members sing the songs well too. This CD has been a blessing to my family, friends, and myself. About 1/3 of the songs though, do have a more modern beat and I don't like them (that why it gets only 4 stars), but there's still about 65 songs on the CD that are great. If you enjoy singing hymns at church from your hymnal, like I do, then you'll probably really like this CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good value!
Very well done, feels like you're in Church with an organ playing! Does not include lyrics, don't know why I was expecting that. But still the best value with so many hymns!

5-0 out of 5 stars 4 great CDs of traditional hymns
If you've ever wanted a collection of hymns just like they sing in the old days, here it is. The songs are wonderfully rendered without any of the "artistic improvisation" that modern day Christian music artists feel like they have to do to emulate rock and pop stars. Instead, there is either an organ accompaniment or piano, and some wonderful male and female voices. Some are solos, and most are groups. I gave a set to my pastor and his wife, and they were very thrilled that this set is available. You can easily follow along with a hymnal because the words are enunciated clearly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Traditional Hymns!
This is a 4-CD set of 100 classic hymns. There are no hideous re-arrangements of these traditional hymns! Thank God for that! Don't get me wrong, I'm sure people like that other stuff, but as for me, I like the hymns the way I sing them in church!

Most of the songs are sung by a small choir with an organ accompaniment. There are some songs which have other instruments, but that's the exception. The songs are well sung and the music quality is pretty good. The only flaw I noted was that there were a few songs which had a slight word change here or there. Without a hymnal of my own (which I hope is on the way), I can't check this out in detail. But it isn't enough for me to knock it down a rating.

Bottom line: If you are looking for traditional hymns done traditionally for a GREAT price, get this 4-CD set!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars His music is sensational.
I will like to first of all appreciate His efforts on we the youths. No doubt, he has touched so many souls. God bless you. If there is any song that I listen to without beign bored, it's kirk's songs. for example; the storm is over, stomp(in fact, in my school we have mimmed the song and people were blessed), whatcha lookin'4, my life is in your hands, etc. I will never forget to comment on his latest. It has been inspirational especially 'lean on me'. Kirk, keep on the good works. I love you. I am looking forward to meeting you. lotta luv.

3-0 out of 5 stars Everyone Needs To Stop Trying To Be Billie Holiday
I respect KF's attempts to merge gospel with popular hip-hop and I fully encourage it, but much of it does not work on this album. The album's worst offense is that nearly every soloist thinks they are a jazz/blues singer -- singing with a sort of loose-jawed nonchalance. Their goal, presumably, is to make it sound easy and unforced. The result is it is often uninspiring and lazy. This is particularly apparent in "Up Above My Head." You also hear it in "The Storm is Over Now", which has a wonderful melody despite the solo.

But the album DOES have its merits. First, the messages are undeniable. Second, the melodies on most songs are catchy and singable and hummable. "Stomp" get it started just right, although I prefer the song's original mix. "My Life is in Your Hands" is touching, but GP gets you out of your seat again with "It's Rainin'". The ballads "Love", "Sweet Spirit", and "So Good" are moving as well.

The album is worth listening to many times, but I would recommend getting "Kirk Franklin and the Family" and "Whatcha Liikon' 4" first (in that order), to hear the progression of Kirk Franklin's music to God's Property.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!
This is the album that made me fall in love with this guy in the first place. His earlier recordings I heard much later. Everyone can remember when Stomp hit our tv screens and poured out of our speakers! It was on rotation for weeks and still is! I love the remix but I think the original one is the best, great chord progression. My Life Is In Your Hands is another classic which gets you worshipping God. Love is one HEAVY jazz piece and the harmonies at the end are just INCREDIBLE!! Very simple instrumentation/message but not easliy forgotten. Sweet Spirit....BIG TUNE!!! Anytime I'm stressed I just put it on and it calms me straight away. The only thing I don't like is the end when "excitement" takes over, spoils it for me. More Than I Can Bare, lovely song. You Are The Only One is one tune to get down with! And So Good is another great track. I have a feeling I've left some other tunes out but that's all I can remember off-head. But anyway great album, another all-rounder. Get this without a doubt.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME
This is a very awesome, spirit filled album! Our whole youth minisery team LOVES this album. It is highly recommended!

4-0 out of 5 stars God's Property or The Family - Part 1
Kirk Franklin's 1997 deubt, God's Property from Kirk Franklin's Nu Nation was the greatest gospel album of the 90's. Well there was one confusing problem. What is Nu Nation and what is God's Property ? Ok, God's Property is a gospel group that was made up of 50 people. Nu Nation was just the Family, God's Property, Voices of Life, and possibly the 1NC (One Nation Crew).... God's Property is great. I don't like their hip-hop trends on this cd. My favorite song was Love. I liked the song so much, I wanted to do remixes on it. I like the cd cover. Unlike, The Rebirth Of Kirk Franklin and Nu Nation, I think this cd is my favorite gospel albums. ... Read more

Now seven years strong, the WOW Gospel collection never fails to disappoint as it showcases the previous year's best and gives fans a hint of what is to come. The 2004 release, like its predecessors, offers a wide variety of styles all embedded under the "gospel" tag. For the more traditional fan, try on the widely popular Blind Boys of Alabama as they "Wade In The Water" or Richard Smallwood with Vision's "My Everything (Praise Waiteth)." More contemporary fans will appreciate Fred Hammond and his driving, upbeat "You Are My Daily Bread," Hezekiah Walker's hit single "I Need You to Survive" or even the super-slick Kirk Franklin and his roof-raising "Brighter Day." And for those looking ahead, you'll be encouraged with Tonex's rock-steady "Doesn't Really Matter." Another nice touch this year is the tribute to Houston, Texas artists (don't miss Kurt Carr's "I Almost Let Go") as the WOW series features prime gospel markets for the next decade. This is a must-have for any gospel fan or for those curious about where gospel might be going. --Michael Lyttle ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Promoting Up-and-Coming Gospel Artist
One of the things I love about this and all the other WOW Gospel CDs is that it introduces us to new gospel artists that we may not of heard of before, and their music turns out to be great. Just because you don't know every song or artist on the CD doesn't mean you have to take away from it's great music and playlist. This is an awesome CD and I fully recommend it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed just by Playlist
The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because with or without this CD, gospel is wonderful. Otherwise it would be a zero.

My questions are, where is Byron Cage's "Presence of the Lord"?
Why did they put Kirk Franklin's old "Brighter Day" song on there? "Presence of the Lord" could have been there opening song.

Alot of the other artists were old timers... Shirley Caesar, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Beverly Crawford, and Lee Williams & the Spiritual QCs. And most of them aren't really my favorites.

Who in WORLD are TonHx (or do they mean Tonex?), Joann Rosario, Lamar Campbell & Spirit Of Praise, Ted & Sheri, Harvey Watkins, Jr.(feat. Doug & Melvin Williams), and 7 Sons Of Soul? Truthfully, I've never heard of either of them, not even on BET's Lift Every Voice.

Now I see why none of my family members have this CD. WOW! Gospel 2003 was much better. Save your bucks!

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Companion at work
To keep the Lord on your mind and in your heart, you must own this 2-CD set. With songs like Hezekiah's "I need you to survive", Marvin Sapp's "You Are God", Smokie's "Still I thank you" this album is just a must to have to bring you back to gospel how it should be ( and those selections were just on the 1st CD!!!! Get it now, and see what you have been missing...

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW Is Right
This is the best WOW Gospel compilation since the 2001 CD. I've listened to it almost every day since I purchased it. I absolutely love it and have recommended it to all of my family and friends who also like gospel music. I can't wait to see if they can outdo this one on next year's release.

5-0 out of 5 stars TOUCH OF CLASS
I LOVE MUSIC! IT HAS A WAY OF REACHING OUT TO YOU. AND THE WORDS ALONG ARE SO INSPIRING. YOU CAN ALWAYS SHARE IT WITH OTHERS AND RELATE TO THE SONGS. THIS GIVES YOU A CHANCE TO REACH ANOTHER WHO MAY NOT BE ON THE SAME LADDLER YOU ON, AND A CLOSER WALK WITH THE LORD ALWAYS GIVES AN UNCONDITIONER TOUCH. AND WE CAN STAND FOR SOME CONDITIONER LOVE.
