Awesome Holiday Fun
My children, ages 3 1/2 & 2 LOVE this Christmas cd. They get very excited when they recognize the monster singing the song. It is great for singing and dancing, and is just awesome holiday fun!

Doesn't Live Up to the Hype
Elmo is probably the most creatively consistent of the Sesame Street gang, however, this particular collection was a bit of a letdown following his brilliant string of hit records. I even went several months without listening to this before a friend of mine talked me into giving it another shot. He claimed it was an underrated classic on par with the famous John Denver/Muppets collaboration. I do not find this to be so, but it is still a good release. There was a rumor in the late-80s that Elmo had converted to Judaism, but this Christmas release seems to say otherwise, unless he is simply cashing in on his celebrity and selling out his religion, in which case I would be very disappointed.

Elmo Saves Christmas ... in my classroom
Nothing like this album, based on the great video, to add the holiday spirit to any playroom or early childhood classroom. During our visit from Santa, Rosita teaching Elmo "Feliz Navidad" really added an upswing to the party for my multiply handicapped kids. A great cd...
Whether child or adult, you will enjoy this cd. You have to love the grouch who has made his living promoting his love for trash, mud, rain, and sounds that grate on everyone elses nerves. The songs are well arranged and the lyrics clever. Oscar is at his trashy, obnoxious best with songs like "I Love Trash", "Let a Frown be Your Umbrella", and "I'm Sad Because I'm Happy." LOVED IT!
My children loved this! My husband and I also enjoyed the play on the Beatles, etc. My personal favorite is "Rebel L" while my son adores "Grouch Girls". Definitely a good investment.

novelty factor-10 song quality-3
As a Beatles fan I love the concept and the clever play on words. The only tracks that are actually musically any good are 'Duckie' and 'Letter B' oh o.k and 'Hey Food'. Exceptional, Fun, and Educational
Absolutely love it. I use it for my Spanish students. We perform for parents with songs from this CD. The songs are fun and the kids learn so much. They always ask me to play the songs over. I wish they would come out with another Spanish CD. Maria and Luis from Sesame Street have wonderful voices!

Sesame Street Fiesta Songs
I wanted to write this review b/c my purchase was based on an online review. This is the best CD! We are trying to learn and teach our 3 boys (3, 2 & 2) Spanish. I listen to Fiesta Songs in the van even when they aren't with me! We've learned so many useful words and phrases, and the music is great. Me gusta!!

Yes...it's FUN...and sometimes way too sickenly cute. Elmo singing spanish? Classics like "The people in your neighborhood".

I tell my friends that I'm trying to learn spanish...when in reality this CD is just as fun to listen to as just about anythign you'll find on the radio. Super sticky sweet, but not stupid and not condescending.

Oh, and if you *do* have kids....I'm sure it's even more fun.
Worth it....if you came to this page you're probably considering it...so get on with it...buy it already!

GREAT SONGS!
Really fun -- my kids (4 & 6) love it! I love all the Sesame Street products - they are wonderful. My kids also love the "SING AND LEARN" CD by the Global Village Kids. These are bilingual nursery rhymes that they already know so it's easier for them to pick up words in Spanish. I highly recommend both -- much better than the so-called "educational" videos out there for getting your kids to learn a bit of Spanish (and have fun, too!)

My son and I had been working with the same Baby Spanish CD since before he was born EVERYDAY and finally it bagan to get old. I wanted to find something we could alternate he is other cd with and found Fiesta Songs! It's great. It's a definativly bilingual approach in which spanish words and phrases are introduced into well known Sesame Street songs. Good collection of holiday classics
Though it is billed as the soundtrack to the video Elmo Saves Christmas, this title predominantly features holiday classics rather than music from the movie. (I purchased it thinking it would include songs like "Every Day Can't Be Christmas," but found that that song and some others are not on the album.)

Despite this, if your little listeners are Sesame Street fans, they will enjoy this album, which features favorite characters singing such songs as "Here Comes Santa Claus" and "Let It Snow." ... Read more

very varied tunes and fab lyrics
If you're a cookie fan, this is great, it has a lovely train song with Casey McPhee in it, and a cute song with Ernie about breakfast menus. As a parent, I like the funny lyrics, so I don't get too tired of listening over and over again...

Wonderful!
We purchased this CD for our son's first birthday. He LOVES it! He has to go to sleep every night with this CD playing in the background, and even wants to play with and carry around the CD case! We are big "Cookie Monster" fans at this house and were excited to see that there was even something like this available. And I swear that I remember some of the songs from when I was little! Cute lyrics; fun music; Cookie sings with several other familiar Sesame Street characters; children old and young will love this one!

Not the same...
This album is great, but it's not the same as the one I had as a child, which was also called C is for Cookie, but had different tracks! The cover was the same, I think. It had Casey McPhee and C is for Cookie and Bakes a Cake and Circles, like this newer one, but I don't remember any of the others being on it. It also had a song called "Cookie Monster's 3 Wishes", with a genie in the toothpaste tube.

So as great as it is to find Casey, and as much as my toddler will love this one, personally, I'd love to hear if the older version was still available anywhere... hdunham@sympatico.ca.

Great music and lyrics....
My 2 1/2 year old son LOVES this tape...has learned the songs and it really helps him burn energy & participate in the music. Creative lyrics...very cute topics. Very talented people contributed to this music and it shows. Any young child or adult will enjoy!

The Count is in the house
I love the Count. He was my favorite growing up and I can see my little 22 month old girl catching the count craze. Batty Bat is the best. My little girl gets so tickled at me doing the dance. Wonderful Cd.

Fabulous
I'm a single mother in my mid 30s and I've been singing these songs for YEARS. I still have the original album I got when I was little and thank heaven they now have a CD. There are messages in the song lyrics that still apply more than 3 decades later. All people could benefit from it. Thanks to Sesame Street for keeping it alive.

WOW The Memories
When I was a kid this was my favorite Sesame Street record. I cried the day it started skipping. The funny thing is that I actually got excited when they released it on a CD. I rushed out and brought it. Yes, I also listened to it when I got it home. You gotta love the genius of Jim Henson. He's definitely someone who's legend will live on for many years. Hey, I can't help it I'm a grown child. Anything Sesame Street is worthwhile to get a hold of. Where is Sesame Street Fever? I'm still waiting. i love the song "I Can't Help It". Herry Monster is great.

"I, Grover" is my new favorite song. I love this CD - oh, and so does my daughter. She has a dance for each of the songs. Also, themes such as cooperation, being different, fear of the dark ("There's a little girl under the bed!" "Oh, sweetheart, there's no such thing as little girls!"), friendship, personal empowerment (I love you Grover!), and expressing emotions are handled in good ol' Sesame Street form. It's all cookie.

Upbeat songs by all of your fuzzy monster friends!
