5-0 out of 5 stars Label should say 8 and up, a Cd for hip guys who love Tigger
For those of you who like Pooh,or Tigger, and not dorky-sounding music, you willwant to hear this cd. If you are a Peter Frampton fan, and you still love Tigger, Check out "Tigger Bop" and "Show Me The Way" with new lyrics. Most of the music on this cd compares to cool beats you hear in American Pokemon music. A "must hear" is a rock and roll version of "The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers". The wonderful thing about this version is that it ROCKS! Hoo hoo hoo hoo!

4-0 out of 5 stars Bounce this one into your CD player!
A fitting tribute to the bouncy, trouncy fun-loving Tigger! The songs are sure-fire dance tunes for your little ones, and you'll find yourself singing along with them! Various musical categories are represented - from bop to swing to lullabies to rock and roll (a rewording of Peter Frampton's hit "Show Me The Way") to my favorite on the CD, the ska tune "Stripes!". The original Sherman Brothers "The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers" is updated in a fun way, adding guitar and other instruments. This CD also features some of Paul Winchell's Tiggerisms. Whether the CD is for a true-blue Tigger Maniac, or for the entertainment of your kids, this one's a winner! ... Read more

The Tigger Movie features the lovable feline from the Hundred Acre Wood looking for his roots and family tree. On the soundtrack, Tigger's tale comes complete with a narrated 12-minute version of the story and a hardbound book. But the songs threaten to steal the show. Written by the legendary Academy and Grammy Award-winning songwriting duo Richard and Robert Sherman, the artful tunes are trademark old-school feel-good Disney. The Sherman brothers, after all, have penned some of the most memorable Disney songs ever, from the immortal songbook for Mary Poppins to Disneyland's lyrical romp "The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room," and many others--including that global kid anthem "It's a Small World After All." With Tigger, the Shermans again pen the lovable lyrics kids and their grownups will be singing together. A bluesy ballad, a big production number called"Round My Family Tree," and other uptempo tunes such as "The Whoop-de-Dooper Bounce" embrace not only Tigger's character but the poetry and all-too-human sensibility (and occasional imbecility) of the Winnie the Pooh stories. Add a collaboration with Kenny Loggins on "Your Heart Will Lead You Home" (a typically sweet and saccharine Loggins treatment) and you've got a classic Disney soundtrack from Tigger's corner of the Hundred Acre Wood. --Martin Keller ... 3-0 out of 5 stars tigger is wonderful
If it takes Tigger to get a new song out of Long John Baldry, then so be it; his croaky ode to Winnie the Pooh is a sparkling jazz number and a wonderful finale for this 14 song soundtrack of lovable, huggable, bouncy, wouncy singalong kiddie songs. Rather than using Tigger as an excuse to pinch out a shedload of new Elton John/Tim Rice stinkers that parents will love and kids will hate, the album collaborators (which include Michael Becker, Dick and Bob Sherman, Kenny Loggins and Mike Abbott) have created a traditional collection of outrageous singalongs which mix elements of jazz, blues and showtunes in a colourful storybook of sound as loony, absurd and appealing as its rubber-tailed star. Few children's movie soundtracks ever aim this high anymore.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't wait for the video?
"The Tigger Movie" is Better than "Pooh's Grand Adventure". I saw the preview for it and I discovered that Kanga and Roo are in it, too,but not Gopher. People who loved the Movie will have this as a keepsake. Did you Know "Your heart will lead you home is on 2 Cds including this one. It even has Dialougefrom the film, too!

If you haven't been blinded by patriotism, wading through the glut of flag-waving duds flooding record bins will leave you squinty-eyed, which is why Disney's Celebrate America!, despite its slightly ham-handed intro track, is worth celebrating. The swelling, Old Glory standards are here--"America the Beautiful" by Plus One and updated to weaken the knees of boy-band swooners; "America," issued with hats-off gusto by Lee Greenwood; and perennial Pete Seeger fave "This Land Is Your Land" among them--plus a handful of tracks that stretch, via their sentiments, to insinuate themselves into the red, white, and blue state of mind. Eva Cassidy's soul-scraping rendition of Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready" sounds right at home here, as do Bill Withers's "Lean on Me," Nita Whitaker's "Climb Every Mountain," and Art Garfunkel's "Bridge over Troubled Water" (still, a caveat's in order--the live version's a clunker compared with the original). Though Barry Mann's title track commands a sober, sincere liftoff for this collection, it comes across more as cobbled together for commercial purposes than as heartfelt; its polar opposite is Willie Nelson's achingly gorgeous "American Tune," also included here. Once Kaci issues the final salute with "Star Spangled Banner," what seems most American about America! is its cross-genre approach: plant this musical melting pot in backyards across the country and at least a song or two will grow on everybody. --Tammy La Gorce ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Best of Disney on CD
This is one album that should not be missed! In 1996, the Main Street Electrical Parade "glowed away," but it is preserved here in the CD. Funny thing is, the Electrical Parade was replaced by the disappointing Light Magic Parade, and, at the time of pressing the CD, the Light Magic music is also included in the CD as well. On the more positive side, Grim Grinning Ghosts (Haunted Mansion) and Yo Ho [A Pirate's Life for Me] (Pirates of the Carribean) are a part of this excellent CD. If there is one track that stands out, it's the Space Mountain track. Remember the opening music to the movie "Pulp Fiction" with the surf guitar? That was performed by Dick Dale. Well, Mr. Dale and his long-time collaborator Aarin Richard have written and performed the Space Mountain track! Yes, many do not know about this, so here's a piece of trivia that you can throw out at your next Disney gathering, party, etc.

CHECK IT OUT! IT IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Hear
The Disneyland/Disney World official album is a definite must hear! It has the sounds and music from most favorite Disney theme park attractions and shows, even from ones that have retired. I especially like the Space Mountain soundtrack on this CD. It is one way to hear this ride's music when you are miles away from Disneyland! It's a good one to have when you've been on Space Mountain when the music was inoperable on the ride, but you still want to hear what the music sounds like. Lastly, it makes me want to go back to Disneyland to listen to the entire CD. I hope more people can be fortunate enough to own it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Disney CD
This is a great album for any Disney fan to have. The CD features a variety of brief excerpts from the musical loops of beloved attractions from Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom such as "The Haunted Mansion", "Pirates of the Caribbean", and "Splash Mountain". It also includes music from a few of Disney's famous nighttime spectaculars including "Fantasmic", the "Main Street Electrical Parade", and "Illuminations". One highlight of the CD is the entire musical loop from the Disneyland Night Parade "Light Magic". While the parade proved to be unpopular and only ran for about a year, the music is great, mixing classic Disney songs such as "Be Our Guest" and "Step In Time" with Irish step dancing music a la Riverdance. While I would recommend either the official album for Disneyland and official album for Walt Disney World that is sold exclusively at the parks before recommending this one, I do think this is a great album as well and defiantly worth purchasing.

4-0 out of 5 stars Without The Standing In Line
A good sampler of the theme park music, a mixture of the oldies and the newer music (Light Magic and Illuminations). The sound on the more modern music is excellent. In the 60s, there was a full album of It's A Small World featuring the songs sung in all of the different languages. Wonder if that will ever resurface again on CD?

4-0 out of 5 stars Good But Not Great
I bought this album after buying the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration album (which is great). I wanted to get the music for the rest of the Disney World night shows... the Main Street Electrical Parade and Fantasmic! The Official Album is good, but it is a little out of date... IllumiNations now is Reflections of Earth and, unless my memory deceives me, the Electrical Light Parade music at the World was different from what is on this album. There are a number of good songs on the album, but as the Amazon review suggests you'll want to program your player to just pick out the best. ... Read more

For those munchkins with their ears permanently tuned to Radio Disney, Holiday Jams should not disappoint, though it may not send any sugarplums through their heads. Aimed, it seems, at both kids under 10 as well as their boomer parents, the disc features time-worn classics such as Bobby Helms's "Jingle Bell Rock," the Beach Boys' "Little Saint Nick," Alvin & the Chipmunks' "The Chipmunk Son (Christmas Don't Be Late)," Burl Ives's "Holly Jolly Christmas," and others. More contemporary pieces include the Spice Girls' "Sleigh Ride" and Shedaisy's "Deck the Halls," along with chart rulers 'N Sync in a throwaway number called "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays." The Spice Girls remain fairly faithful to "Sleigh Ride," and throughout the album songs are introduced with greetings from Disney's cloying and occasionally annoying DJs. Like the radio programming itself, Holiday Jams is ultimately a slick, well-packaged collection. --Martin Keller ... Read more

Sometimes I pull out this CD in the middle of the summer to bring me back to the most special time of the year. I really like SHeDAISY's "Deck the Halls" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee. "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" is still funny every time I hear it. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Kids and Fun for Adults
Looking for a CD to introduce your kid to American patriotic music? This CD is ideal for that purpose.

Contained on this disc are nine standards of the genera and one medley of the Armed Forces hymns.Recorded mostly by a kid’s choir, the songs are short and fun.I found myself getting into "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" and trying to learn the verses I didn't know of "Yankee Doodle."I found the inclusion of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy a little distracting on the two tracks they're on, but that's the only real criticism I have.

Kids will love learning patriotic songs from this CD, and parents will find themselves enjoying the songs as well. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars You should see what Gumby can do today
Yes, this is a "tribute" album to Gumby (the clay boy). The songs here all relate to Gumby (sometimes in a very loose way). Actually, two of the songs here, "Concrete and Clay" and "Bend Me, Shape Me", are remakes of old hits from the '60s. But they are both well done, especially "Bend Me, Shape Me". Most of the other songs were written especially for this album. There is a Zappaesque contribution by two of Frank's kids. There are two polka-rock songs by Brave Combo. There is a reggae dub song by Sly and Robbie. Jonathan Richman contributes a typically weird song. There is a gunfighter ballad by Rick Schulman. One of the highlights here is a funny song by Flo and Eddie, which is done in the style of the "Magical Mystery Tour" era Beatles. The other highlight is the Gumby theme song, done in the style of Frank Sinatra, and sung by Frank Jr. All in all, this is a pretty fun album. Here is the complete track listing:

1. (In Love) With You Gumby - Dweezil and Moon Unit Zappa
2. Concrete and Clay - Eddie Wade
3. Zydeco Gumby Ya Ya - Brave Combo
4. Bend Me, Shape Me - Donna McElroy
5. Gumby, We Love You - Sly and Robbie
6. I Like Gumby - Jonathan Richman

Disney's Princess Lullaby Album shines light on a key children's release from 2001: Jason Falkner's Bedtime with the Beatles collection. The arrangements here are dripping with keyboards and swathed in strings, but the simple formula--translating familiar melodies and mellowing the music to sweet, soporific levels--works well. And, to be fair, these aren't Beatles tunes. But the Disney songs are recognizable enough that the youngster in need of music as a sleep aid won't be, so to speak, in the dark. Even if films like Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and, to a greater extent, Mulan, aren't known quantities, Fred Mollin's orchestrations are soothing. Yes, the set will seem monotonous to adult ears, but this can take a nice, mellow spot alongside Disney Babies Lullaby in the twilight rotation. --Andrew Bartlett ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great compilation of Pooh and his friends' songs
The Book of Pooh has been my 16-month-old son's favorite show for quite a while now, so I didn't hesitate to buy this CD for him. After several months of listening to it, I can certainly say that neither one of us is dissapointed... the lyrics are very witty, there is a good variety of rythms, all characters sing in at least one song, and you can't help but relive those memorable episodes when listening to the songs!

Lullabies lend themselves to woozy re-creations, a sort of endless repetition that flags under the weight of the concept (putting kids to bed for their much-needed sleep) and the lack of weight accorded to the music. You might expect a Disney lullaby collection to be on a par with the most mediocre collections, but this one is really a fine set. The tunes are standard--from the famous "Brahms Lullaby" to "All the Pretty Little Horses"--but they're uniformly excellent and creative, staying within the realm of acoustic music that sounds and feels organic. These are Disney-related tunes, for the most part, so "Stay Awake" is here, as is the whimsical "Sleep, Daddy, Sleep." Musically, the set is varied, steering away from a repetition of instrumentation or delivery. That makes it easily entertaining enough for back-to-back listens, which any parent will be asked for with this collection. --Andrew Bartlett ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars boooooring, bad voices
Most of the songs are boring and I cringe when some of the singers try to hit high notes.I love some of my daughter's cds. There are others that don't interest me, but I don't mind them. This one is grating.Luckily, my 2 year old isn't too thrilled with it either and just asks me to play the first song (when you wish upon a star) over and over.I'm going to have to find that song on another album with a better singer.I'd recommend not wasting your money on this cd. For a wonderful, soothing lullaby album, I'd recommend "World Sings Goodnight".It's absolutely beautiful.

2-0 out of 5 stars Wasn't so happy
I got this CD as a gift. I listen to the song along with my daughter, but she didn't seem to respond to it. the song was so well words can not explain. I bought a fisher Price CD call little people a sind along song and she love that compare to this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money
This CD is just classic Disney drivel.I was hoping for a quality recording, but it isn't even that.Cheesy doesn't even begin to describe it.With an organization the size of Disney, it's amazing they can put out such poor quality work. The music is very schmaltzy, the artists are mediocre.

I would give it zero stars, but I can't.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cheesy
I bought this CD because of all of the favorable reviews but was very disapointed. All of it is quite cheesy which is what I feared a Disney lullaby CD would be like.I immediately gave it away.My personal lullaby favorites are Brazilian Lullaby and Classical Baby: Mozart-Sleepy Time.

3-0 out of 5 stars So close, yet so far...
I REALLY wanted to love this CD. I was looking for a complete Princess collection for the car. We already have (and love!) the Disney Classics 5 CD collection, and I get very tired of switching between all those CDs to find "princess songs" (it's VERY hard to remember which song is on which color CD!!). The trouble with this CD is that is just doesn't have enough songs. My daughter includes in the category "Princess Songs" the songs that aren't actually sung by the princess herself, but are in the movie (like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, The Work Song; Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl, Heigh-Ho, Be Our Guest, Belle, etc.) - she loves them all! I was expecting a long CD with 20 to 25 songs (like the Disney Classics), but this CD only has 12, which isn't enough for my family. The included songs (with the exception of "Home" from the B&B Broadway show) are the same gorgeous versions you already love, but if you're looking for complete group of Princess Songs on one CD, this probably isn't the one for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars classic musical moments from Disney
This beautiful album showcases the Disney princesses; Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora, Cinderella and Pocahontas, with songs from the soundtracks of the classic Disney films in which they appear. This disc is a must-own for all Disney fans.

There are selections from POCAHONTAS ("Colors of the Wind" and "Just Around the Riverbend", sung by Judy Kuhn); ALADDIN ("A Whole New World" sung by Brad Kane and Lea Salonga); BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ("Something There" sung by David Ogden Stiers, Jerry Orbach, Robby Benson, Angela Lansbury and Paige O'Hara); SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS ("Some Day My Prince Will Come" and "I'm Wishing/One Song" (sung by Adriana Caselotti and Harry Stockwell); CINDERELLA ("So This is Love" and "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" sung by Ilene Woods and Mike Douglas); and SLEEPING BEAUTY ("Once Upon a Dream" sung by Mary Costa and Bill Shirley).

Added for good measure is "Home", taken from the Broadway score of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, sung by the original Broadway Belle, Susan Egan.

I love listening to this magical CD, which is, as the cover-blurb promises, the music of 'hopes, dreams and happy endings'.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great CD!
I'm Also 18 and about to graduate HS and this is still one of my favorite cds! I actually bought this cd about 3 years ago (a different cover-same cd) and LOVED IT! I didn't give "Home" a chance at first but one day I listened to it and it is probably one of my all time favorite songs! I love broadway and I sing and its a very challenging song to sing! Susan Egan has a gorgeous voice! And none more gorgeous than Jodi Benson (Ariel!). My point is this is a great cd, don't ignore it becuase you don't know all the songs...you'll grow to love them as much as the favorites!

4-0 out of 5 stars Princesses!
As one reviewer said, you're never to old to enjoy the Disney classics! I'm 18, just graduated high school, and just went out and purchased this CD a couple days ago. It's beautiful, gorgeous, and brings back memories! I was singing along with it while in the car and while doing housework--it's a great collection that anyone can enjoy, especially those of us who are kids at heart. The only thing I wish is that there were a couple more songs present, which detracts 2 songs, but overall, it's gorgeous! Well worth the money!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Princess at Heart
In all the years I've enjoyed the Walt Disney collection's I learned age has no place in loving and enjoying all of his works! Snow White and all the Princesses have become my favorite along with my granddaughter who is a fitting 2 1/2 years old! As Walt Disney intended, Disney is to bring out the child in all of us..which so harshly the world wants to lock up and throw away the key! I enjoyed Disney World since it's opening through the eyes of my 4 children, and now I get to see it through the eyes of my granddaughter and it still becomes fresh and brand new! I love all of Disney but especially these beautiful and charming "Princesses" that decorate our world! Sincerely, A "Child" at Heart ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Decorate Cinderella's castle, filling it with furnishings, pictures, and even food before bringing in the world's most downtrodden stepdaughter and her friends. With this game, Cinderella fans ages 5 and older can design their heroine's living spaces, print out especially well-decorated rooms, and experiment with a new variation on the age-old pastime of playing with dolls.

Disney's Cinderella Dollhouse is really a basic paint program posing as a watered-down version of The Sims. Players decorate Cinderella's kitchen, bedroom, and ballroom, but instead of adorning each empty space with flat images, girls choose from a gallery of interactive objects. What does this mean? Put a flute in Cinderella's hand and she will actually play it; give her a tray of cupcakes and she will offer them to everyone in the room. Adding different characters to the mix will change what they do and say. Girls can thus create scenes where the wicked stepsisters argue, or--by swapping the cast around--they can induce the Prince to make a declaration of love to Cinderella. The number of possible combinations is respectably large, and Disney provides a monthly download of additional objects to keep gameplay from getting stale.

Unfortunately, this game is something of a one-trick pony. Unlike an adult-oriented simulator, the characters' prerecorded responses to game objects are controlled by very simple rules. There are no deviations from the basic Cinderella script, girls cannot create their own characters, and ultimately, the animations don't disguise the fact that this is just another clip art gallery with new bells and whistles. Even with the game updates, older girls will outgrow the dollhouse swiftly. What's more, occasional sound glitches and a long introduction sequence--which can't be skipped--make the process of getting started tedious.

That said, the game does have appealing graphics and expands nicely on the concept of an electronic sticker book--an activity that is usually tossed into other games as a poorly executed afterthought. For younger girls who are fond of this particular fairy tale, or who have already shown that they enjoy decoration-themed programs, Disney's Cinderella Dollhouse makes a good selection. --Alyx Dellamonica ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Worst... Kid's Software... Ever.
Believe me, kid's software in general is not that great (though there are some notable exceptions.)So it is a pretty big deal for me to say that this is the worst kid's software I have ever seen.It literally kept my kid busy for about half an hour, and when I looked at it I saw why; no challenge, no interest, very little content.

The premise of the game is that you go to all these different rooms from the Cinderella mythos (the basement, Cinderella's bedroom in the castle, etc) and drop furniture, characters, and objects onto them.Sometimes these objects will interact with each other.Kind of like the excellent Catz! series, except for way more static and non-interactive.

First of all, even if this was enough to carry a game, which it's not, there's hardly any decent content. There are like 5 rooms total, and maybe 6 or 8 characters, and probably 30 total furniture and object items to throw on there. And then, your kid is done playing.

My daughter, who is 5 years of age, summed it up nicely: "Daddy, this game is boring."

Avoid, avoid, avoid.A waste of money at any price.

2-0 out of 5 stars basically a dollshouse
The game lives up to its name, its a dollshouse. You pick the furniture and put it where you like almost as a number of things refuse to allow you to place them where you want even when there is plenty of room. You cannot place an object or person behind another item unless you put the back item in first.
The fun part is decorating the rooms and seeing the characters you place in the rooms interact. It would have been nice to have had more variety in the characters as you only get two cinderellas, anastasia drusella and the stepmother, the prince, three mice, a dog, aa cat and a couple of birds.
You can change the wallpaper, floor, ceiling, curtains etc (three choices of each) Also the furniture has three choices.
Disappointing is the promised downloadable decorations, they downloaded but wont run.
Overall the game is click and point, so the kids are not amused long and seldom return. It came in a package with three other games otherwise I probably would not have purchased it but games geared towards girls a few and far between with disney and barbie being almost the only ones.

5-0 out of 5 stars A very Good Game
My 5 year old enjoys this very much. She got it last year from Santa, so she was able to navigate it at age 4. This is her favorite of the Princess Games. However, she gets very frustrated with the Fairy Godmother telling her "No Room There", because while you can drag and drop the furniture, you cannot overlap it. When the room is full, nothing else will go in.

However, she has spent countless hours with this program, and overall enjoys it quite a bit.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Kids Games We Own!
We bought this game two months ago, along with two other kids games, and this one is by far our favorite kids game! When I say we, I mean my 7 year old who bought it with birthday money, her two sisters who are old enough to play computer games, me, my friend who lives with us (age 21), even my husband has sat down and messed around with it. It is just addictive, and fun.

Not only do you get to decorate 6 rooms (Step-mother's parlor and kitchen, the mice room, and the bedroom, ballroom, and garden in the castle) then you can place people in the room and they will talk to each other. You can place items in their hands (such as flowers, food, a brush, a flute, much more) and hear them talk about what they are holding. Talk, and sometimes more! I love to have the flute out and people sitting at the piano in the step-mothers parlor. Hand something to Anastasia, and she'll say something (or sometimes say and do something), sometimes Cinderella will answer her, sometimes it will be Drizzella, the step-mother, or the Prince. It is totally fun and sometimes very funny to hear what they say to each other and see what they do with the items you give them. The game is also very easy to play and navigate, my five year old has no trouble playing all by herself.

I do have three complaints against the game, one that was resolved by another persons review (thanks!). First off, we have been frustrated by the Fairy Godmothers long introduction to the game, which we did not know we could skip by hitting the space bar. They never told us that, we would sit through the whole long poem, which isn't bad, but if you have heard it 20 times already you would rather just get to the game. Problem solved now, though. The next thing that frustrates us is that occasionally one of the characters decides to look around (they don't say anything, they just look around) and you can't do anything while they look. It is a minor annoyance, just as you go to place an item into the scene, the Prince just has to look around a couple times, and you have to wait about 30 seconds or so until he is done. The third thing that frustrates us is that we are supposed to be able to download new decorative items from online, but we try and try and can not make it work. Even with these annoyances, it is still a great game that we love and play a lot.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not one of our favorites
Our three very computer literate daughters (ages 3 to 5) didn't respond to this game. The graphics were much slower to come up on screen than other games of this type and you don't get to be very creative with where you put the items in each room. They also didn't like that the click and drag didn't work as well as it does in the Little Mermaid II game.Overall, we wouldn't recommend this one. ...
