5-0 out of 5 stars this is cool!!!
I LOVE THIS CD!! Here are the songs:
1. Halfway Around The World - A*Teens-this song is cool. I like A*Teens a lot.
2. Bounce - Aaron Carter-ugh. I really hate Aaron Carter!!
3. Perfect Day - Hoku-this song is good, not as good as "How Do I Feel" which they put on Radio Disney Volume 3, but it's a good song.
4. Answer To Our Life - Backstreet Boys-this is one of my favorite BSB songs.
5. No More (Baby I'ma Do Right) - 3LW-3LW really gets on my nerves. I just don't like their songs.
6. Blue - Eiffel 65-this song is cool! The tune really gets stuck in your head, but not in an annoying way.
7. SuperGirl - KRYStAL-I don't like Krystal. Something about her voice just annoys me!!
8. It Happens Every Time - Dream Street-DREAM STREET IS THE BEST!!!! Need I say more?
9. Miracles Happen - Myra-I like this song. It's also on the Princess Diaries soundtrack.
10. Who Woke Snow White Up? - Baha Men-umm....interesting version of "Who Let the Dogs Out'...
11. Last Flight Out - Plus One-too slow.
12. Never Again - True Vibe-It's OK.
13. I Wanna Be With You - Mandy Moore-this is a slow song and I don't usually like those, but I like Mandy Moore. This song is pretty.
14. I Think I Love You - Kaci-gets majorly stuck in your head!! But I like it.
15. Spinnin' Around - Jump 5-Jump5 is cool! This song has a great beat and the kids in the group can really sing out.

4-0 out of 5 stars FUN DISNEY CD
This is the definite Disney CD for party people. The Disney version of ATC's Around The World(La La La La)is the best song on the cd. It just makes you wanna dance. I also like their versions of "I Want Candy","We Like To Party", "Blue".The update of "Life Is a Rock(But the Radio Rolled Me)" is also a cool song. Especially when they say the names of people and trends of the last decade. Baha Men's "Who Woke Snow White Up?" is just as fun as "Who Let The Dogs Out?". I also enjoyed Myra's "Mickey's Got The Beat". This is THE cd for party people who are disney fans. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome collection!
I have to say, that with a 5 year old who is obsessed with the movies that these songs go with, it has made the perfect gift! She spends hours listening to this CD while doing more productive activities than sitting in front of a TV watching the movie. The songs are special to her because of the movies, and she actually does her schoolwork well with these fun songs playing. As a music lover and a Disney lover, we both agree at 5 and 30 that this is a hit.

5-0 out of 5 stars For adult listeners, the Disney songs sung by "real" singers
Trivia Challenge: Included in the 16 tracks on "Disney's Superstar Hits" is the only song from a Disney film to hit #1 on the Billboard Pop Charts. See if you can remember which one it is before I give the answer away at the end. No peaking ahead.

The songs collected on "Disney's Superstar Hits" are mostly from the 1990s; there is "Once Upon a Time in New York City" from way back in 1988 from "Oliver and Company" and a few songs from the 21st century. But the only golden oldie is "Put It Together (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo)," which comes from "Cinderella II" and not the original. The obvious frame of reference would be to see this collection as representing the Disney Renaissance ushered in by the Alan Menken/Howrad Ashman era, which makes it strange that nothing from "Little Mermaid" is included. But the common denominator to this collection is that the songs are not sung by the characters from these films, or, more properly, the people who did the voices for the characters. So instead of Angela Landsbury doing "Beauty and the Beast" it is Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson.

There are several songs from the less than stellar direct to video Disney sequels, such as "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II," "The Lion King II: Return to Pride Rock," "and "Cinderella II," which would be a minor complaint. But Tina Turner sings one of the songs, so it is hard to complain. In fact, the strength of this collection is indeed the superstar singers. Most of them are blasts from the past such as Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Sting, Huey Lewis, and Randy Newsman, but there is also new blood such as Christina Aguilera, Sarah McLachlan, Vanessa Williams, and even Jennifer Love Hewitt. Peabo Bryson comes out ahead, with the aforementioned "Beauty and the Beast" and another duet, "A Whole New World" with Regina Belle.

This disc is perfect for grown ups, who like the "real" singers singing the best songs from the Disney movies their kids have been dragging them to for the past decade. Vanessa William's "Colors of the Wind" is my personal favorite, although it is hard not to recall the fantastic opening of "The Lion King" when you hear Elton John do "Circle of Life." On the fun side of the ledger I like Randy Newman and Lyle Lovett working their collective ways through "You've Got a Friend in Me" a bit more than Jimmy Cliff and Lebo M's "Hakuna Matata."

Trivia Answer: "A Whole New World" was #1 on the Billboard Pop Chart for one week starting on March 6, 1993. It is the song that replaced Whitney Houston's cover of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" after 14 weeks on top.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good CD
This is a great CD, but I was kind of disappointed that there weren't more tracks on it. Other than that, you and your kids will be singing along in the car for sure. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars When Disney was cheesy.....and cool
I had this on Cassette when I was a little kid. This tape played at every single birthday party I went to as a kid.I know the words to the birthday song by heart.I remember dancing with my cousins to the first track, and my grandfather dancing to "Hoedown at the Robot Farm" around the living room.I'll admit this CD is such a cheesy 80's flashback, but even for kids lucky enough to be born after the 80s this CD still has fun Disney appeal.
What I did not realize about this CD is how great it is for kids.If you look at the CD's Disney has released recently, mainly the "Disney Mania" Cd's, they aren't made for your kids. They are advertisements for the up and coming artists who sing the songs that are advertisements for Disney movies that are on sale. There's nothing new, creative, or innovative about the music at all.Everything on this CD is new, creative, and odd (to say the least) which is perfect for a kids imagination.Music shouldn't be about what movie a song is from or what half naked artist is singing it in the world of children.I had no idea what any of the songs on this CD were about when I was little.I just knew it was silly, and fun.Which is what kids music should be.That's missing from kids music today.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love This Album!
It's so funny, I played this album OUT when I was a kid.Somewhere along the line, I lost it.I was so excited when I heard that it had been re-released on CD, but then found out even the CD was out of print.I was able to find one on Ebay and have listened to it several times since.

Hearing these songs again put a smile on my face; they are so silly but definitely singable. There's a definite 80's "new wave" inspiration to the songs, but for a Gen X'er like me, that's a good thing!

I'm not sure if today's kids would enjoy it as much as I did, but I'd highly recommend it to any parent who wants to give it a try with their kids!

5-0 out of 5 stars Memories
I had the original cassette tape when I was 4 years old back in 1984 and I have been looking for it ever since.I am so glad that I found it because I remember it being so great!!!I sang along with all of the songs and I wanted to share this album with my younger sister and perhaps my children in the future.I recommend this album because there is nothing else like it out there with all of the modernization.Even disney and sesame street are not the same now. This is a good, clean album meant for fun and inspiration for children. ... Silly Songs is a great set of goofball hits guaranteed topaste grins on 4-year-old faces. Never mind that the songs are not originals and that (outside of the few that include Mickey, Minnie, andGoofy), you've never heard of the singers crooning them. These loopy chestnuts--"Purple People Eater," "Bill Grogan's Goat,""On Top of Spaghetti"--have sunk themselves so deeply into grownupfunnybones that anybody who refuses to reel with the feelin' on "SplishSplash" should be ready to be outed as a grump. Better still, thisrecord seals the deal on wacky bonding experiences. 5-0 out of 5 stars 60 Years of Musical Magic
Disney fans will delight in this fourth volume of classic musical memories!

Included on this disc are "Thomas O'Malley Cat" from THE ARISTOCATS, "The Siamese Cat Song" from LADY AND THE TRAMP, "Love" from ROBIN HOOD, "Give a Little Whistle" from PINOCCHIO and "Baby Mine" from DUMBO.

More recent selections are taken from HERCULES ("One Last Hope"), A GOOFY MOVIE ("On the Open Road"), TOY STORY ("I Will Go Sailing No More") and POCAHONTAS ("Just Around the Riverbend").

Selections from Disney's live-action musicals include SUMMER MAGIC ("Femininity" performed by Hayley Mills and Deborah Walley), IN SEARCH OF THE CASTAWAYS ("Enjoy It!" performed by Maurice Chevalier and Hayley Mills) and THE ONE AND ONLY, GENUINE, ORIGINAL FAMILY BAND ("Ten Feet Off the Ground"). There is also the heart-rending ballad "Home" from the Broadway score of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, performed by the fabulous Susan Egan.

There is so much to enjoy and savour in this glorious compilation from Disney!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Collection of Disney Music
The idea of issuing musical selections from Disney films, features and other areas of their world of entertainment is really appreciated lovingly by many. If you love the world that Walt Disney created and has continued on to this day, this CD gives you little musical vignettes across that span of time that are very nostalgic and uplifting. I really love track 22: "I Wonder" from SLEEPING BEAUTY sung by Mary Costa. Track 23: "I Bring You a Song" from BAMBI sung by Donald Novis is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. They are indeed very nostalgic, as is the entire CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Review
Very good album of disney songs. I really enjoyed listening to it with my kids. The kids went wild! Its a good buy, I suggest you buy it.

4-0 out of 5 stars NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Once again, I invite Carrie to first SEE the movie and THEN critize it. Burton and Elfman movies are the best.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great collection of songs
I am a Disney fan, and I loved this collection of Disney songs. "Ten Feet Off the Ground", "Although I Dropped a Thousand Dollars", and "Enjoy It" are from movies that haven't been released to the public for a while, but they are still good songs. "Ten Feet Off the Ground" has the great Buddy Ebsen singing and dancing in it, and Kurt Russel is also in there. ("The One and Only, Genunie, Original Family Band" which this song is from, is where Kurt and Goldie Hawn met). In all honesty, though, I gave it four stars because of the "Oogie Boogie Song" from "Nightmare Before Christmas". That movie never needed to be made, and this song definitely puts a damper on the whole cd. ... Read more

Exploring London and Paris to find 102 missing Dalmatian puppies isquite an adventure; kids dodge Cruella, Le Pelt, and Alonso while playing zany, multilevel games and learning about historic spots.

This CD-ROM is extremely kid-friendly. Kids ages 4 through 8 navigate the mainscreen using a giant puppy paw as a cursor. However, one of the games, Adopt aPuppy, requires Internet connectivity and parental supervision since kidsdownload up to six "international online parks" as they progress through thegame.

Whether children print postcards from around the world or learn theresponsibilities of adopting a virtual puppy, they'll get to practice theirproblem-solving skills while trying to make all 102 Dalmatians happy. Ourfavorite game in Disney's 102 Dalmatians Activity Center is Verdogo, afast-paced arcade-style maze where kids travel through pneumatic tubes, rotatingpans, ladders, and moving belts to find wayward pups while avoiding Alonso, LePelt, and Cruella.

Another challenging game, Chow Time, has kids slinging dog food while gettinggreat practice using the arrow keys and space bar to make sure none of the pupsgoes hungry. For creative kids, the Pup Art Gallery will provide hours of funwhile kids study the masters of "pup" art. Children can create their own art bychoosing from a variety of backgrounds and character stickers from the movie.

Finally, kids get a chance to play detective in Operation: Dalmatian, amind-bending logic game. Children can play this interactive, top-secret mission andapply deductive reasoning skills as they collect clues to find the Top Dog.(Ages 4 to 8) --Tina Velgos ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work for XP, but nice program
I couldn't get it to run at all in XP, but I have Windows 95 installed within Windows XP, and this game ran well in Windows 95.Beautiful graphics. The typing bores my 5 year old very quickly, but I encourage him to work on it with the promise of a reward. So far he is only in the beginning, and there is only one game to play (besides the standard drill).I think there will be more games available as he progresses. If you can't downgrade easily, however, this game is probably not worth buying.

5-0 out of 5 stars Typing with Timon & Pumbaa
I got this game for classroom work for kids from 5yrs to 12yrs. I was VERY pleased with the combination of practice and fun games. What impressed me most about it, particularly after trying out other typing software, is how well it adjusts the games to the child's level. Yes, supervision is always required to ensure they're not looking at their hands or just bashing keys, and I've heard my share of groans when another page of text comes on instead of the game, but that's to be expected. Excellent game which I intend to purchase for my own child!

1-0 out of 5 stars Unhappy
I have had a terrible time getting this program to run.It constantly shuts down or comes up with errors. It was a total waste of money as far as I am concerned.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game, tons of fun!!!!!!
This game includes four fun-filled levels. It's great for kids of all ages. But I am sorry that it is SO difficult to find in stores. I recomend this item to anyone who is looking for a very, very fun learn to type game for children.

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring! Boring! Boring!
While this program appears to be cute and engaging at the onset, it quickly becomes very boring. My daughter likes the ONE game, but can't get past the first row of typing because it's so monotanous. There is nothing to challenge her to keep going and improving - no incentive. Just more boring repetition like we had to do in high-school. ... Read more

The fifth installation in Radio Disney's Jams series crowds a crop of powder-puff pop culled from the airwaves onto one disc. Expect the usual genre twitches: 3 Doors Down's "Kryptonite" and Simon and Milo's power punk "Get a Clue" stomp off in a rock direction; Baha Men's "Move It Like This" and Play's pulsing remake of "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" stir a thimbleful of dance into the mix; and 3LW's "Playas Gon' Play" and Aaron Carter's work-the-crowd "Oh Aaron" run with an urban-R&B vibe. Otherwise, it's straight-ahead pop here, courtesy of such staples as Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync. In what's becoming a Jams custom, each of the acts still climbing toward shriek-and-squeal status aims to sound like somebody else, with Britney, J. Lo, and P Diddy flourishes flitting from track to track. Also, the tech-y references at times feel icky given the target crowd (ChristinaMilian's "Call Me, Beep Me," LMNT's lament for the unpageable "Juliet"), but try to dash these ditties from your short-term memory. They're as tough to scrape away as tape from the back of a bedroom poster; that they're just as paper-thin is part of the fun. --Tammy La Gorce ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Radio Disney's Best from THIS year!
This CD Includes the many chart toppers from Radio Disney! From the first track, to the last, this CD is WONDERFUL! The best song though, is A*Teens version of Can't Help Falling In Love, for the Disney Movie, Lilo & Stitch!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a very good cd!!!
This cd is very good!... It is a very good cd and it is worth every penny of the money. All I have to say is that you will love this cd IF you like fun, pop. But if you are a person who likes rap like 50 cent you will probably not like this.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Pleasantly Surprised
I am an older kid (36) and purchased this mostly because it has the songs - "what makes you different" and "Get a clue" - having heard the first on Princess Diaries and the 2nd off the Disney movie titled Get a Clue. But, I was very pleasantly surprised that I actually like this CD a lot!! My friends like it too. We call it HAPPY MUSIC. Very upbeat and puts you in a peppy mood. I do not, however, care for the Aaron Carter song. The lyrics are cute - but I think he probably has much more to offer.

3-0 out of 5 stars The CD was pretty good.
This radio disney CD was good but i only ended up liking a few songs!!! "Hey Juliet" is one of my fave songs!!!! 5-0 out of 5 stars It's a fantastic song...
...and there really is not much more to add! It's the kind of song, however, that I've "embraced" since the first time I heard it (on that Disney-movie). John Rzeznik is a brilliant singer, and much better songwriter than Jon Bon Jovi that I've heard some people compare him too. Enough said: I'm impressed, and I'm becoming a big fan of Goo Goo Dolls (finally)!

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT
The only real shame about this is that you can only give 5 stars. John has done a fabulous job on this release. This is really GOOd music. LOL! I love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Rzeznik could go solo if he continues!
John Rzeznik if probably the best singer in the Goo Goo Dolls. If this single CD is the best ''album'' he wrote alone, (maybe)he will be better than the Goo Goo Dolls.(Besides, John is the one that sings the most, plus he writes emotional songs.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Solo "Single" CD
This is an excellent CD with John's 2 songs from Treasure Planet. You can experience Jim's theme song "I'm still here" on the soundtrack from Treasure Planet. However, John also wrote another song which is played during the end credits. This song is not on the soundtrack. It is on this "single" cd though. There are really only the 2 songs, since the third is an instrumental version of "I'm still here".If you are a fan of John Rzeznik, you will enjoy this CD since both songs are excellent and the second song has not gotten any airplay yet.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good start without the band
This small group of songs was a great addition to anyone's Goo Goo Doll collection. Rzeznik does a spectacular job in singing these songs as he has done with the songs he has sung with the band 'Goo Goo Dolls'.

I would recomend this cd to anyone who enjoy's the GGD's music or the music of Matchbox 20. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars more like a 3.5
I was given this CD along with That Darn Cat soundtrack ( a total F cd- not worth buying) . The songs on this are a reminder of my childhood. It is songs, by the original artist. For the most part the cd is pretty good with songs the 30+ crowd remembers.

4-0 out of 5 stars good for kids and adults
I hate the CD's that are kids voices singing nursery songs. This is a great collection, regular adult songs that appeal to kids. The unifying dog theme is great. I think this might be the first Disney CD I don't mind listening too. I love "Me and My Arrow" from Nillson's Land of Point, Bird Dog, and Puppy Love. This is my second copy - the first got all scratched up because my 2.5 year old chewed on it.

5-0 out of 5 stars For kid's who love dogs!
As canine lovers, my kids love this CD. As the adult, I enjoy it to when it is being played. In fact, I like it as much as the kids do! My favorites: Siberry's "Everything reminds me of my dog", "Bird dog" and Nilsson's "Me and my Arrow." In my opinion, all of the songs are great for kids. It is not standard Disney fare, and it is not a soundtrack. Just good fun music that deviates from the standard kiddie stuff.

3-0 out of 5 stars No bones about it; relatively few dogs in this collection
This is about what we can expect from a Disney collection of dog songs for children-some good tracks, a few weird tracks, and a couple of inappropriate ones. Rufus Thomas' otherwise great "Walkin' the Dog," for example, is too raunchy for kids, and Jane Siberry's ii/V piece of NPR-style fluff, "Everything Reminds Me of My Dog," is too meaninglessly pretentious. Which is worse, I wonder? By contrast, the raunchiness of "Hound Dog"(performed beautifully here by Jerry Lee Lewis) is lost to kids-and to most adults, come to think of it. Best of the bunch, for older listeners, are Tom Paxton's clever and famous "My Dog's Bigger Than Your Dog," The Dorsey Brothers' 1934 "My Dog Loves Your Dog," and the aforementioned Thomas and Lewis tracks. I'd also include "Doggie In the Window," but the version used here is a later, inferior remake. Haters of this song should be aware that its writer, Bob Merrill, also gave us "Honeycomb" and "You Don't Have To Be a Baby To Cry," two songs which are neither dogs nor about them. I, myself, would have included the 1950s supergroup The Singing Dogs, whose "Hot Dog Rock and Roll"would have been a suitable replacement for Jane Siberry or the howl-inducing singing of Paul Anka. This is a fairly fetching collection, if nothing to roll over over.

2-0 out of 5 stars Dog Pound
This 'soundtrack' of dog songs was not a good idea. These songs are unlikable to anyone! And you don't have to go by my word alone-in the past 5 years (when it was released) it's only sold about 2,500 copies, if that. But the reason I gave it 2 stars is because it has 2 ok songs:

(How Much Is) That Doggy In The Window &
Cruella De Vil

but 'Cruella...' isn't even a dog song, minus it was in 101 Dalmatians. ... Read more
