Consider Disneymania 2 a second prep course on the pleasures of powerpop: perfect for those not ready to make the leap to top 40, or packs of kids whose parents won't let themtune in to Christina Aguilera. With the help of Raven ("True to YourHeart"), Hilary Duff and her sister, Haylie Duff ("Siamese Cat Song"),and cutiepie boy bands like Jump 5 ("Welcome Song") and LMNT ("AWholeNew World"), tweens won't suspect they're missing out on the "seedystuff." It's easy to get swept up in the vibe these artists are sending out. Never mind thatStevie Brock belts out "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" or Daniel Bedingfield sings "ADream is a Wish Your Heart Makes"--they sound convincinglyheartthrobby doing it. A more impressive feat is this disc's parentalappeal. With "Mania 2," Disney proves that any pop can beinfectious when it's performed right. --Tammy La Gorce ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the first!
I think that Disney Mania 2 definetly is better than the first... here is my overall review:

1. Welcome - Jump 5 Um... I'm not a big fan of Jump 5 and I don't think they really have musicial talent so I didn't really enjoy this song Rating: 1.5/5

2. True To Your Heart - Raven This is song is good, Raven definetly has a good voice Rating: 4.5/5

3. It's A Small World - Baha Men I hate this song! I love the original song but when the Baha Men sing it it's really really bad. Rating: 1/5

4. He's A Tramp - The Beu Sisters Didn't really like this one... not all that great Rating: 2/5

5. Zip A Dee Doo Dah - Stevie Brock My favorite song on the album! Stevie Brock is so cute in this song. It's a great remake. You should buy Stevie's debut album in stores now. He's an awesome singer. Rating: 5/5

6. The Siamese Cat Song - Hilary & Haylie Duff This song is so horrible. They both cannot sing if they wanted to. The song is very annoying. Rating: 1/5

7. Circle Of Life - Disney Channel Circle Of Stars Good song... good vocals... I like it Rating: 4.5/5

8. A Whole New World - LMNT Ehh... not the best song in the world... it could definetly be better with better vocal range Rating: 2/5

9. Once Upon Another Dream - No Secrets 4 words: It could be better. Rating: 1.5/5

theres more songs but they're not great... I really really liked Stevie Brocks' Zip A Dee Doo Dah and Circle of Life. Thats about it. GO BUY STEVIE BROCKS ALBUM!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars DISNEYMANIA 2! A GREAT CD!
Disneymania 2 is another collection of fantastic songs that are sung by fantastic artists! Jump 5 does a great job of singing the first track, "Welcome" from the motion picture "BROTHER BEAR", and Raven sings, "True To Your Heart" from the motion picture, "MULAN"! All of the songs on this album are absolutely amazing! It's so cool to know that artists like; Hilary Duff, Raven, & Daniel Bedingfield are singing the Disney songs there way on this second collection of Disneymania!

THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS

5-0 out of 5 stars What do they mean?
TMBG (a.k.a. they might be giants) are a great band and took a chance with an instrumental song (without words) and the CD is not a "singing cd" as some here have called it, it is simply a cd for revivals of artists' favorite songs. TMBG did a great job on this CD, and was not designed for preteen kids who don't like instrumental music yet. as for raven and hilary, kudos to the editors! seriously, they made the actresses sound great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ashley Gearing Roxs!
i'm 18 1/2 yrs old and i am a very good friend of Ashley Gearing who sings "Wish upon a star"on this cd.i recemend this CD to anyone out there and ashley Fans in particular.shes the next big thing in country music!shes recording more music for Disney and is on LYRICSTREET RECORDS DISNEY!!(...)

4-0 out of 5 stars Takes you back in time! A MUST buy!
If you had ever seen a Disney "Classic," such as Cinderella or The Lion King, you will ADORE this CD. It takes you back to your childhood, when you first saw the movie. Of course, I wanted more songs in this CD, such as "Colors of the Wind," which I love. And more songs from "The Lion King" (all three of them) and the Jungle Book. "Look for the bear..."

1. Welcome (Brother Bear)-Jump5. I like it. It has a modern beat to it. And I loved hearing part on it on "Brother Bear." But still, I don't know if Jump5 had the voices to sing it, and the lyrics are okay. 4/5

2. True to Your Heart (Mulan)-Raven. Now, I love this one! Raven adds a classy and modern voice to this song from the popular movie. I love the beat, and I think you will too. 5/5

3. It's a Small World-Baha Men. The song is for Disneyland, not from a movie. I didn't really like the beat, but how can you NOT like a Baha Men song? I like to dancing to it though. 4/5

4. He's a Tramp (Lady and the Tramp)-the Beu Sisters. There's a lead singer that sings most of the lyrics, and she has the voice for it. It's hard to describe, but her voice fits the song perfectly! And some of the things said it the background made me laugh. I love this song! 5/5

5. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah (Song of the South)-Stevie Brock. I thought Stevie would do better. My least favorite song on this CD. I really didn't understand what he was saying, and I don't think you would either. The beat is good for little childeren to dance to though. 2/5

6. The Siamese Cat Song (Lady and the Tramp)-Hilary and Haylie Duff. Usually, I don't like Hilary Duff songs, but in this song (co-performed by her older sister) she really shines. And sisters are perfect for it, because of the end. I really liked listening to it, and I bet you will too. 5/5

7. Circle of Life (The Lion King)-Disney Channel Circle of Stars.(Orlando Brown, Hilary Duff, Tahj Mowry, Kyla Pratt, Raven, Christy Carlson Romano, AJ Trauth, and Anneliese van der Pol) This song is really touching. It brought me back to when I first saw it in 1997 (or somewhere around there) with my late Grandpa. The beat, lyrics, voice, everything, is perfect. If you listen to one song on the CD, it should be this. 5/5

8. A Whole New World (Aladdin)-LMNT. I don't think the voices really fitted the song. And the beat was different. I liked the original better. 3/5

9. One Another Dream (Sleeping Beauty)-no secrets. I really like the beat and the voices for the song was really good. Great to dance to. I sing along to it all the time. 4/5

10. Anytime You Need a Friend (Home on the Range)-the Beu Sisters. They did it again! Great song. I like song and the style of the song it great. I love this song. 5/5

11. The Second Star to the Right (Peter Pam)-Jesse McCartney. I'm a fan of Jesse McCartney, so I wasn't surprised that this song was so good. Jesse's voice is dreamy, and I love it. 5/5

12. When You Wish Upon a Star (Pinocchino)-Ashley Gearing. I never heard of her before, but I will buy her CD and more! WYWUAS is my favorite Disney song, and Ashley made me love it even more. I adore the lyrics and the beat. It brings me back, all right. And I LOVE it. 6(SIX)/5

13. A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella)-Daniel Bedingfield. I love this song. I would like to waltz to it one day. Daniel brings a classic touch to it, and it "spices" up in the middle. 5/5

14. Baroque Hoedown (Disney's Electrical Parade)-They Might Be Giants. Not much voice, just sounds. My brother loves it, I like the beat and style of it too. 4/5

I'm listening to the CD as I write this, so you get exactly what I think of it. This review took me almost 50 minutes, so you can see that I really thought each song over.
Buy the CD. I swear, you'll love it. ... Read more

Cynical types will accuse Disney of milking the "greatest" concept untilit's drier than Tinkerbell's fairy dust ("Supercalafragilisticexpealidocious," "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Da," and "Heigh Ho" were hits off of Vol. 1; "Bare Necessities," "It's a Small World," and "Some Day My Prince Will Come" stole the show on Vol. 2), but aglimpse of this installment's track listing is all it'll take to squash their suspicions. Once again running reverse-chronologically, Vol. 3 opens with Jonatha Brooke's gorgeously achy ballad "I'll Try," from 2002's arguably not-so-great Return to Neverland, and gradually reaches back through the years to re-raise the curtain on Toy Story 2 ("When She Loved Me," performed by Sarah McLachlan), The Lion King ("Can You Feel the Love Tonight"), Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews's classic "A Spoonful of Sugar"), Pinocchio ("Give a Little Whistle"), and a bundle of treasured others, bottoming out at 1933's "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" from The Three Little Pigs. Vol. 3 is not without its weak moments--would a G-rated movie-goers' poll produce Beauty and the Beast's "Gaston" or The Hunchback of Notre Dame's "Topsy Turvy" on a hits list? Seems unlikely. Still, the bulk of these tracks are, as the included Little Mermaid song goes, "Part of Your World," and the spread of decades they represent proves their staying power. Don't expect Disney to latch the lid on its inexhaustible archives until a dozen or so of these records, each as strong as the next, beckon you back for more. --Tammy La Gorce ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Some gems, some duds
The previous two volumes of this series, chosen by Leonard Maltin and graced by his excellent liner notes, were enough draw to make me buy this one "for my son." Unfortunately, Maltin wasn't involved in this one, and it shows.

I am glad I have it - if only to keep from buying the full soundtracks of all these movies just to get a clean copy of Pat Carroll singing "Poor Unfortunate Souls" (Little Mermaid) or "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat" (Aristocats) or Elfman's fabulous "What's This?" (Nightmare Before Christmas).

I suspect most folks will do what I did, and buy the CD because a few of the tunes still resonate - and there's plenty of power here for that. The "Siamese Cat Song" certainly isn't great art, but it transports me back to child state - where I feel I'm listening to my scratchy old 45 - quicker than you can say "Fess Parker."

I appreciate that the compiler - Ted Kryczko - stuck with Maltin's winning formula of old and new. But his sense of drama and pacing aren't the best. Yes, the Jonatha Brooke and Sarah MacLachlan cuts - featured one and two on the set - are pretty and sweet. I'm sure it's frustrating that these great cuts didn't get heard enough, because the movies were weak. You still don't start with them. Lead with your strengths.

Oh yes, the 6-year-old does appreciate it, but prefers volumes 1 and 2. (Nearly forgot my cover, there.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great music...but save a bundle with the 5-disc set!
This CD is great. It has both old and new Disney classics. But...for a little more money you can get all these songs and about 80 more. The 5 disc set sold here at Amazon has 99 Disney classics and sells for about the price of 2 CDs. The 5 disc set includes songs such as Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah from the no-longer released Song of the South, songs from the theme parks like the Electric Light Parade theme, It's a Small World from the NY World's Fair...it has them all! Buying the CDs seperately you probably spend twice as much + shipping; save some money--the 5-CD set is the way to go. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Kim Possible rocks! Dr. Drakken rules!
This is a fun CD to listen to based on the "Kim Possible" TV show. I mainly bought the CD because of the track "Rappin' Drakken" by John DiMaggio. Drakken is my favorite character in the show - the main reason I started watching "Kim Possible" is because John DiMaggio does his voice, and I am a huge fan of "Futurama," where good ol' Johnny D does the voice of Bender! I got hooked on KP only to find out a few weeks later that this show was also being canceled, so I was upset when I heard that because I love the show so much.

You'll enjoy this CD! I love the KP main theme (regular and remixes, although the "movie mix" is under a minute long that I feel cheated out of a bonus track). ABSOLUTELY LOVE "Rappin' Drakken" - John DiMaggio rocks! Love the beat boxing at the beginning of the song, and the whole song is clever and makes me laugh. Too bad it's only 2 minutes long! "Celebration" is a fun cover of the original by Kool and the Gang. I also LOVE "The Naked Mole Rap" sung by Ron Stoppable and Rufus - that is a FUNNY song! You'll notice that when you listen to this song that the music is Rufus's theme music in the show - pretty clever, huh?

I'm 25 years old and love this CD, so it's not just for youngsters but for all ages! If you enjoy "Kim Possible" then you'll like this CD! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars You are never too old...
I will be 16 in 3 months although that may not sound like old to most people, a lot of people consider it too old to listen to Disney songs. Not true! If you love the songs from the Disney movies, this is the perfect CD. My friends and I love this CD; I gave it to one of my friends as a gift and it is always in her CD player. The songs are great and all are classics. They start out with songs from the more recent Disney releases and the latter half is full of great oldies. (I have been looking for ever for the Sleepy Beauty songs.) This is just a fun CD to listen to; it always puts me in a better mood when I listen to it. A must-have for every Disney fan! I can't wait to get my hands on Princess Collection II!

3-0 out of 5 stars So close, yet so far...
I REALLY wanted to love this CD. I was looking for a complete Princess collection for the car. We already have (and love!) the Disney Classics 5 CD collection, and I get very tired of switching between all those CDs to find "princess songs" (it's VERY hard to remember which song is on which color CD!!). The trouble with this CD is that is just doesn't have enough songs. My daughter includes in the category "Princess Songs" the songs that aren't actually sung by the princess herself, but are in the movie (like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, The Work Song; Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl, Heigh-Ho, Be Our Guest, Belle, etc.) - she loves them all! I was expecting a long CD with 20 to 25 songs (like the Disney Classics), but this CD only has 12, which isn't enough for my family. The included songs (with the exception of "Home" from the B&B Broadway show) are the same gorgeous versions you already love, but if you're looking for complete group of Princess Songs on one CD, this probably isn't the one for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great CD!
I'm Also 18 and about to graduate HS and this is still one of my favorite cds! I actually bought this cd about 3 years ago (a different cover-same cd) and LOVED IT! I didn't give "Home" a chance at first but one day I listened to it and it is probably one of my all time favorite songs! I love broadway and I sing and its a very challenging song to sing! Susan Egan has a gorgeous voice! And none more gorgeous than Jodi Benson (Ariel!). My point is this is a great cd, don't ignore it becuase you don't know all the songs...you'll grow to love them as much as the favorites!

4-0 out of 5 stars classic musical moments from Disney
This beautiful album showcases the Disney princesses; Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora, Cinderella and Pocahontas, with songs from the soundtracks of the classic Disney films in which they appear. This disc is a must-own for all Disney fans.

There are selections from POCAHONTAS ("Colors of the Wind" and "Just Around the Riverbend", sung by Judy Kuhn); ALADDIN ("A Whole New World" sung by Brad Kane and Lea Salonga); BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ("Something There" sung by David Ogden Stiers, Jerry Orbach, Robby Benson, Angela Lansbury and Paige O'Hara); SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS ("Some Day My Prince Will Come" and "I'm Wishing/One Song" (sung by Adriana Caselotti and Harry Stockwell); CINDERELLA ("So This is Love" and "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" sung by Ilene Woods and Mike Douglas); and SLEEPING BEAUTY ("Once Upon a Dream" sung by Mary Costa and Bill Shirley).

Added for good measure is "Home", taken from the Broadway score of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, sung by the original Broadway Belle, Susan Egan.

I love listening to this magical CD, which is, as the cover-blurb promises, the music of 'hopes, dreams and happy endings'.

4-0 out of 5 stars Princesses!
As one reviewer said, you're never to old to enjoy the Disney classics! I'm 18, just graduated high school, and just went out and purchased this CD a couple days ago. It's beautiful, gorgeous, and brings back memories! I was singing along with it while in the car and while doing housework--it's a great collection that anyone can enjoy, especially those of us who are kids at heart. The only thing I wish is that there were a couple more songs present, which detracts 2 songs, but overall, it's gorgeous! Well worth the money! ... Read more

It's safe to assume that every kid in the United States--outside of those raised among fringe groups--grew up harboring fantasies of shoving aside the animated star of the latest hit Disney film and inhabiting the character's cartoon shoes him- or herself, at least until the end credits rolled. Such an assumption is not lost on the clever folks at Disney, who've launched the Disney Karaoke series, consisting of favorites from the company's perennially popular movies, first sung in apple-pure, completely unironic Disney style and then presented instrumentally, giving closet crooners a chance to show their stuff. Highlights on the first volume include 10 songs from 10 films, including "Just Around the Riverbend" (from Pocahantas), "Reflection" (from Mulan), and "A Whole New World" (from The Little Mermaid) as well as the feel-good "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" (from Song of the South), the infectious and entirely irresistible "Hakuna Matata" (from The Lion King), and the sentiment-stirring classic "When You Wish Upon a Star" (from Pinnochio). Even without the karaoke concept this CD would make lots of can't-miss lists; the song selection alone adds up to pure fun. Even so, Disney, not wishing to disappoint karaoke die-hards, has thoughtfully included complete lyrics in the liner notes. So no excuses for missteps and no more feeling silly--The Jungle Book's "I Wanna Be Like You" actually does include the phrase "Oh, Oobee doo--I wanna be like you." --Tammy La Gorce ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed
I expected more from Disney I guess they are learning and now are doing better with what they have put out. But do not waste your money on it. Look for a more recent one which has lyrics as well as graphics. The songs on it aren't all that - I bought if for my daughter and even the music sounds a bit off when it goes without words. Really - save your money on this one! :0(

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Road Trips
Most of my college friends have moved off to different cities, and it's quite a haul to visit them. Music in the car is nice, but I always get the urge to sing! That's why I enjoy this CD so much. First we are treated to somewhat simplified arrangements of ten great songs, ranging from classics like "Once Upon a Dream" to more current songs like "Reflections" from Mulan. Each is performed by an artist who does an excellent job of enunciating to help the budding singer hear the words and where they go (the lyrics in the booklet help too!). The next ten tracks are the same songs, but without the lead vocals. Simple, elegant, fun.

Which leads to the two caveats: 1.) The "20 Tracks" label shouldn't be confused with 20 songs and 2.) There are no special lyrics/pictures/etc. encoded on the disc. Several other reviewers have groused on point two, but I see it as being like enhanced CD's: Sure the extras are neat, but I buy it for the music.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice to listen to; Hard to sing - for "Advanced" Karaokists
This CD contains 10 Disney songs, (each sung, apparently, by different vocalists than the originals)followed by an instrumental of each track for karaoke. The songs are a mix of old and new school (from Song of the South, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty to Lion King, Little Mermaid and Pocahantas).

The production certainly sounds professional and I probably wouldn't have known the vocals weren't the originals on the songs I didn't know. The problem isn't with the production or even the song selection, but rather the degree of difficulty. These are not the easiest songs to sing which I think would make this prohibitive for most kids, as well as adults who have trouble enough screeching their way through "My Girl" and "Born to Be Wild".

It should also be noted that the lyrics do not display on your screen, but are included in the booklet.
Recommended for hardcore Disney buffs and "advanced" karaokiers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun for long car trips!
I love to sing, especially when I am by myself on a long car trip. Singing along with these songs (that I know by heart!) make the trip fun and go by fast. I have read reviews that said the people were upset because it was not a CD with graphics, but no where does it say that graphics are included. I never once thought they would be on there. I own Vol. 1 and 2 and love them! If you want to have fun singing along, this is a great purchase.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
You would think that Disney would provide the highest quality product. Think again. I purchased Disney Karaoke Discs 1-4 at Disneyland, thinking I would get "the real thing." Well, their vocal demonstration tracks were NOT taken from the movies but were sung by others (i.e. they had the well-known songs re-recorded by people we've never heard of, poor imitations of the original tracks), AND the words are only printed on an inside liner, not embedded in the discs. In other words, these are just song and music discs with no graphics at all. You can play them in a karaoke machine and you might as well be playing them in a regular CD player. If you plan on singing these songs, either memorize the words or carry the cumbersome songbook wherever you go. Not worth it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Not your typical wretched children's music
The whole family loves this music (although I shouldn't presume to speak for the 5 month old)and that is more than I can say for most children's music. The singer, Larry Groce has a very good singing voice and his interpretations are great. The music is upbeat without being saccharin. The variety is a definite bonus and most of the songs are timeless classics. We hate hate hate the Wee Sing collection but we love this particular Disney set (we have volumes 1-4). We live in a particularly desolate part of New England and in order to get anywhere worth going we have to drive a minimum of 2-3 hours--this music is so helpful in the entertainment dept!

4-0 out of 5 stars nice selection of children's songs
This is a nice selection of songs, featuring a couple of nursery rhyme medleys and many classics such as Alouette, Michael Row the Boat Ashore, and the Alphabet Song.

While the selections seem well thought out, they are all performed by the same singers (Larry Groce and the Disneyland Children's Sing-Along Chorus) which detracts slightly from the enjoyment. Another Disney series, 'Classic Disney', features songs from Disney movies and is performed by the original artists.

A nice value.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Bad, but I hope not the best
The singer here (Larry Groce) is not a complete unknown; back when we were kids ourselves, he had a big hit with the novelty "Junk Food Junkie". Those who remember that song's jokey-folkie style (and thin tenor) will have a pretty good idea of what to expect here. Not surprisingly, he does much better with the silly sing-along stuff than the songs which were meant to be taken more-or-less seriously, where he seems a bit clueless. Of course, they're all great songs, and our baby seems to like it fine, plus it's way better than Wee Sing or any of the other children's collections I know of. But I'm still hoping to find a children's CD by somebody who knows how to sing "Clementine" or "Michael, Row the Boat Ashore".

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST Music Anthology for Kids - ever!
This CD is number three of four. All are superb and a "must own." All of the traditional favorites are on these CD's, and one of the most impressive features is that the musical styles represent so many of the different cultures in our great Melting Pot. This CD in particular has two medleys of nursery rhymes which are nice for younger kids especially, plus a very nice rendition of "Michael Row the Boat Ashore" which is a pleasing representation of early gospel-style music.

There is nothing mixed in here that was unfamiliar to me, just fine renditions of the classics - and in a traditional non-quirky style. The Disneyland characters only show up singing on occasion - once per CD max. The fact that there are four CDs is great, too, because listening to the same thing over and over again can be irritating, no matter how good it is. I am fortunate not to have tried too many other anthologies for kids before finding this one - this is THE BEST and totally fulfilled my interest in exposing my kids to great traditional American music. This series is the perfect thing to keep in the car. I love it, and my kids do, too.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST BUY!
After hunting for two years to find the perfect tape (CD) for the car, I finally found it! It has a lot of the "classic" kid songs and is very well done. It was lost for a day and my daughter was heart broken! Can't say enough about how great it is. Now I can throw the rest out! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Disney brings SMILES!!!
I love all the Disney songs on all of the "Greatest Hits" CD's! Any Disney song makes me smile and I enjoy listing to the new and old songs from my favorite movies!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great music but save big bucks with the 5-disc set!

4-0 out of 5 stars I liked it more then my kids!
It is a cute collection of songs but my kids didnt really get into it to much.

4-0 out of 5 stars Classic Disney Music
I was looking for a CD with the Mickey Mouse theme music and it was impossible to find a copy. I saw this on the Disney website and bought it. The music was great and it had the theme music. These songs bring back memories as you recall the Disney characters from Mickey to Bambi to Snow White. Also the price was right! Better than any store. 4-0 out of 5 stars A step up from the previous CD
DISNEY CHANNEL HITS: TAKE 2 is quite a bit better than the previous CD in the series, and I'd suggest picking this one up if you enjoy Disney Channel Original Movies or TV shows.

Highlights of DISNEY CHANNEL HITS: TAKE 2 are:
*Good Life (Jesse McCartney) - "Good Life" is a remake, and it's from the movie Stuck in the Suburbs. It's a fun song that doesn't make too much sense, but it's a nice summery song.
*Over It (Anneliese van der Pol) - Who knew that Anneliese could sing so well? I love this song, and I think she's got a great voice. This is definately my favorite song on the CD.
*Whatever Life (Haylie Duff) - As cheesy as the lyrics to this song are, I think it's a really cute song that's somewhat inspirational. Teenagers can definately relate to the lyrics, in my opinion ("Did I hear you say, 'whatever', turn and walk away, forever? Was it my mistake? Or did we just, get too close?")

All the songs on DISNEY CHANNEL HITS: TAKE 2 are great, and there are also some bonus music videos. "Get Your Shine On" and "Good Life" are my two favorite videos, but, once again, they're all really good.

Recommended to pre-teens and teens who still watch Disney Channel regularly.

Overall grade: B

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!
If it were possible to rate this recording ten stars, or twenty, I would. I grew up listening to this one on long car rides, at home, and lots of other places. The songs are fun and comforting, and if I'm any indication, even adults will find them enjoyable to listen to.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great children's songs!!!
I have all four volumes of the Disney CDs. I would note, for the record, that these are not really Disney movie songs, but just classic children's songs put on a CD by Disney. I think they're great!!! We listen to them all the time. There are one or two that aren't my favorite on there, but otherwise I love them. My children (2-1/2 years and 14 months old) listen to music often at home and in my car.

5-0 out of 5 stars Attention Christians
My son received the cassette as a gift for his 2nd birthday. I saw the Disney label and thought, "Oh-no, more witchcraft trying to make its way into my family through my child." I am referring to the fact that Disney media almost always has "magic", spells, nature worship, violence, evil images, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find that we would be able to keep this tape. We danced and sang with these "catchy" classic children's tunes all the time until he experimented a few months later by pulling the tape out not realizing that he was destroying his favorite music collection. I looked in stores without any luck. I finally am ordering it from Amazon. Even though 2 years have passed, he has not lost his memory or excitement for it. Unless you and your children idolize Disney characters, this is not a disappointment.

1-0 out of 5 stars Goofy is a fitting cover character for this CD
We own all four CD's in this series. Unfortunately, this is the least appealing of the four. The songs are second rate, the mixing is of the voices is uninspired, and the orchestration is substandard. One of my favorites, "It's A Small World," is a mechanical performance accompanied by an equally monotonous synthesized strings. Admittedly, I had high expectations for this CD. Afterall, Disney is noted for stimulating fantasy and excitement. Unfortunately, this CD is more suited for MUZAK than Disneyworld.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Classics
This collection is a wonderful walk down memory lane! All my favorites and for many generations, too. My baby is only seven months old and is already familiar with many of the tunes on this CD and the first three, which we also own. You and your children will enjoy hearing many of your old favorites sung clearly, so you can remember the words again! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate in Fun
Well, I have this AWESOME CD, and although I have never actually opened and listened to it, I can assure you that this is a super-fun CD. It includes many fun favorites that I loved as a child. Now that I am 13 and 1/2 and a teenager, I find myself remebering these fun tunes and thinking about my fun childhood. Here are some of the funner songs on the CD:
Dig-It: This is in the children's movie called Holes. I totally DIG this song, lol!
Miracles Happen: Whenever I listened to this song as a child, I really thought that miracles happened once in a while when you believe.

Under the not-so-good category fall songs such as:
All the Raven songs: One word: TOTALLY GROSS! oopsies! that was 2 words, hehe! She is not a good singer. At least she has a fall-back career option as a psychic.
All the Lizzie McGuire songs: These songs are bad. period.
Jump 5: They are too young to sing.
A*teens: They have a lame-o music video, and that made me lose all respect for their music.
Any songs that I havent mentioned are mediocre. I cannot recommend them, but little kids might be into that sort of thing.

Overall, I give this CD an A++! ALL the songs are TERRIFIC and I recommend them to any age!

5-0 out of 5 stars This isn't much help...
This rewiew isn't much help, but I'd just like to encourage children who enjoy this kind of music to buy it! I love it! (It won't be a waste of money!)

5-0 out of 5 stars Triple M ROCKS!!!!!
I don't own this disk yet, but all of these songs totally rock!

What Dreams are Made of: I love Hilary Duff, but this wasn't ther best song. Rating 9
Drama Queen: I ASOULOUTELY LOVE this song! The lyrics are so cool THIS IS THE BEST SONG EVER!!!!!!! Rating is.... duh, 10!

5-0 out of 5 stars I don't have THIS CD...
I though I don't own the MEGA MOVIE MIX CD, I can tell you that it's great. With songs from tons of great movies, this CD is pure fun.

Some highlights of the disk are:
Why Not (Hilary Duff) - The lyrics don't make sense and are cheesy, and the vocals aren't very good. So why do I like this song? Simply put, it's fun.
Can't Help Fallin' in Love (A*Teens) - I love this song, and this version is better than the original. It's a lot peppier and just soooo fun to dance to.
Miracles Happen (Myra) - This song actually has a Christian feel to it, but don't let that fool you. It's a good song for anyone to listen to and has a great message.
Ultimate (Lindsay Lohan) - Lindsay is making the transition from actress to do it all teen queen, which includes recording music. But she's great! The electric guitar in the song sounds awesome, too.
That Girl (Lindsay Lohan) - From the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen soundtrack, this song is also great. It's another fun song that doesn't really make much sense.

MEGA MOVIE MIX is a great CD to listen to when you're bored, driving, or on the computer. The songs are fun - but don't really have too much depth - and clean for any age.

Overall grade - A+ ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Little Girls
I ordered this Karaoke CD for my 9 year old daughter. She
loves singing the songs from some of her favorite Disney movies.
This is the perfect CD for any little girl who loves to sing, and perfect for any Mom who is sick of hearing the same old Karaoke CD's with Britney Spears "Oops I did it Again".
When I ordered the CD I took a chance because there was no information on the song selection. It's perfect for both my 9yr old and my 3yr old who also loves to sing along with her big sister.
The CD selection are; 1-Just Around the Riverbend 2-Part of Your World 3-Beauty and the Beast 4-Colors of the Wind 5-Reflection 6-He's a Tramp 7-A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes 8-Part of the Heart of the Sky. The first 8 songs are the instrumental versions followed by 8 vocal versions of the same songs.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disney quiet-oke!

4-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful melody!!!
The melody is beautiful, and the lyrics are very beautiful, romantic and encouraging! The song "Happy Birthday" of Ariel's is very good, because Ariel's voice is beautiful and sweet! The song "If you can dream" of all the princesses is the best! I have been looking for MP3 of this song, and now I found it has been featured in this album! Hah hah... I think I'll buy this album!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, encouraging, and nostalgic
After getting somewhat . . . okay, VERY annoyed with Disney using only recycled footage and rereleasing old songs for their albums, I was pleased to learn that they had actually created a new album with all the original Princess voices, except of course Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora.Even though the singers they got to impersonate these three don't sound quite like them, they still have lovely voices.

After reading the song titles, you'd expect this CD to sound extremely childish and cheesy, but instead the songs are sung beautifully and have a very Broadway style to them, and many sound like they could have easily fit into the Princess movies, or at least the melodies and they way they're sung.Who'd expect anything less from these extremely talented singers, such as Jodi Benson, Lea Salonga, Judy Kuhn, and Susan Egan?

The lyrics are somewhat cheesy, but they're not nearly as bad as they sound, and some of the songs have gorgeous lyrics that aren't cheesy at all, such as "Waiting for My Prince" and "These Moments We Share," which are some of my favorites.I also love "The Princess Dance" because the tempo changes each time a different princess sings, which makes it a very fun song because as soon as you get tired of one style, it shifts to another.

Personally, I think this album is beautiful for any age group because of how lovely the songs are sung and how nostalgic they are of the old Broadway style songs in traditionally animated Disney movies, but if you are planning on buying it for children, I think it would be very good for them as well because the songs are extremely encouraging and complimentary, referring to the listener as a beautiful princess, etc.Ariel's song, "Manners and Etiquette," encourages children to be polite and considerate, "The Princess Dance" would be a lot of fun for children to dance to, and Jasmine's "Musical Chairs," although it's the most irrelevant song on the CD, teaches children about this popular game, which could easily be played to this song. Also, Ariel's "Happy Birthday, Princess!" would be perfect for a birthday party.

This is a very fun CD overall, the songs are all sung beautifully, the instrumentals are done perfectly, and children would adore it.The only thing I didn't like was the cover because I thought it should feature the princesses more, so I designed my own cover for it. ... Read more

If you never thought you'd want to be 11 again, Lizzie McGuire: Total Party might change your mind. This is the best girl-targeted CD to come around in a while--as spunky and dippy as Lizzie herself. Your 8-to-12-year-old won't want to miss it, not only for the songs but for the fun inter-track patter. Lizzie gets her party started with the Radio Disney edit of Pink's hit, and celebrates girlhood with "Ladies Night" (covered by Atomic Kitten and featuring Kool & the Gang), No Secrets' edgy "That's What Girls Do," and Triple Image's inventive "Hey Now (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun)." What makes this party total is not pizza--that's the only thing that's missing--but three karaoke tracks tacked to the end. Expect repeated choruses of "I Can't Wait" to ring out, and to find your divas-in-training taking turns at the make-believe mike into the wee hours. --Tammy La Gorce ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Disney Karaoke Vol.2 [KARAOKE]
Quite disappointed that there are no screen lyrics available. Although some say karaoke is merely singing the lyrics to the instrumental version of the song, modern day tapes and cd's *do* include the "CDG". Disney seems to fall behind the times. You're better off with a sing-along video -- at least then the kids might learn to read (or at least recognize words). My 4 & 2 year olds wouldn't know what to do with just the instrumental version, of 'true' karaoke. I do prefer vol2 over vol1 or vol3.

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This CD has been given low marks because it's not a CD+G. That is mainly because it is not understood that once upon a time,
before CD's, karaoke was done on audio cassettes. Audio Cassettes did not have lyrics. People had to read off a sheet. People had to learn a song well. People still had fun. The same formula works on CD!

If you've ever bought any other karaoke CD's (esp. at this price range), most of the vocalists are mediocre at best, and the instrumentation ranges from barely acceptable to absolutely horrible MIDI Music.

Contrast this with the beautiful instrumentations and excellent guide vocalists on this CD and you have yourself a 5 star CD at about 1/3 the price and rivalling if not exceeding the quality of the top Quality Karaoke Brands.

The only minor irritant is that on the instrumental tracks, the melody line is played by an instrument (vs. normal karaoke where the melody line is left to the singer only). Minus 1 star for that.

So if you can't handle reading off a lyric's sheet and learning how to really sing the song, then this CD is not for you. But, If you are looking for top notch, well produced Disney Karaoke then you should definitely check out this CD.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible disapointment
I opend the CD filled with joy till it started; at the beginning I thought there should be some kind of mistake but no, there were no letters. Not even one word, we couldn't sing at all; we just had the letters printed in very tiny letters but no guide to sing.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is NOT Karaoke
This is not true Karaoke--there are no onscreen graphics to accompany the songs. There are 10 songs with and without words. The songs with lyrics are not even by the original artists. They sound awful sung by some unknown singers. This is the biggest Disney rip-off yet.

5-0 out of 5 stars Karaoke VS. CD+G
CD+G means TV lyrics, Karaoke means music without words..

this is one of the best Karaoke CDs I own ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My kids can't stay awake!!!,
We LOVE this CD! The music is so beautifully arranged. It is so incredibly peaceful that my kids can't keep their eyes open. We play it for naps and just before bed at night. The BEST thing is that I love the music, too!!!! It's not that annoying toy-music sound that you get with lots of lullaby CDs, it is actually instrumentals by orchestra. The blend from one song to the next song is seamless. There's even a tip sheet on how to use the CD to get your children to sleep better written by Elizabeth Pantley (the author of The No-Cry Sleep Solution.) Lullabies don't get any better than this! Absolutely beautiful music to fall asleep to. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughters LOVE this CD
We have had the tape of these songs for a few years, and have worn it out completely, so I was very happy to find it here. These, and even more so the More Silly Songs CD, are great for killing time in the car and for sing alongs. On our drives from Columbus GA to Atlanta, we would play these over and over and sing at the top of our lungs. Great memories...

5-0 out of 5 stars Disney's Silly Songs is Great
This is a terrific album. I've bought it dozen's of times & it is always a hit with young children who like its high energy and fun music. It has a good mix of both old favorites and new material.

4-0 out of 5 stars Mickey, Donald, Goofy and the gang sing some silly songs
The idea here is to tickle the ribs of little kids by putting together twenty of the world's wackiest songs and have Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and other Disney cartoon characters make their appearance throughout the album. For example, doing "Ta Ra Ra Boom De Ay!" Mickey and Goofy exchange some bad jokes. A few of the songs have actually appeared in Disney movies, such as "When I See an Elephant Fly" from "Dumbo," which is given a different interpretation by a "teacher." Some of the songs are sung by a group of kids, but most are done by adults singing solo, usually with vocal affectations (e.g., "Little Bunny Foo Foo"). If you little ones have never heard these songs, then "Silly Songs" is certainly one way of providing an introduction. Every kid should know the words to "I'm My Own Grandpaw," "A Peatnut Sat on a Railraod Track," "Three Little Fishies," "There's a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea" and the classic "Be Kind to Your Web-footed Friends" (with all due apologies to John Phillip Sousa--and do I really have to tell you who sings this one?). Parents should just look over the playlist and if you know these songs then your kids should too, and it is probably better if they learn then from this record then having to endure you teaching them "Boom, Boom, Ain't It Great to Be Crazy?" Besides, think how their jaws will drop when they find out you already know the words when they try to teach YOU.

5-0 out of 5 stars Childhood Favorite
