My little girl simply LOVES Barney. She acrually gets mad when my little brother changes the television. And when I bought this CD for her--her eyes lit up, when I first played it for. And started dancing around. She recognizes the Barney-Theme song any where. I would recommend this CD to any parent for thier childs first CD.

Overrated
I read about this CD in Rolling Stone and they gave it five stars. What the heck? This isn't good at all! The background music is kind of catchy though.

A really good preschool kids' CD
I am a musician and find many of the typical kiddie CDs almost intolerable due to the lack of talent of the singers. This one is suprisingly good. The Barney actor and children from the cast sing the songs. The children are quite talented, making it easy for adults to listen to. Kids love the songs. It features a good assortment of familiar songs from the TV show and classic children's songs. My 2-year old loves it and requests this CD daily. I am able to stand listening to this CD over and over much easilly than his other favorites. The "clean-up" song is also usefull during clean-up time in our house.

My four year old loves Barney. This is one of his favorites. We've been through several of the cassettes. They ware out very quickly.

LAME, LAME, LAME!!!!!
This CD really BLOWS!!! When I have my children, I will provide them real music to listen to that can enjoy, not this horrible, stupid rubbish coming from a lame bogus ugly purple creature. This CD is way darn overrated! I would give it no stars if I could. Why the heck did this CD get so many high ratings, when it's nothing but lame rubbish that would drive any parent up a tree? Are these people serious who are listeners that are not little kids? Come on! Don't waste your money on this, because before you know it, your kids will outgrow it!

Instead, I highly recommend anything and everything by Led Zeppelin! Led Zepppelin rules! Get the Led out!

Typical Barney
This is one of my son's favorite Barney CDs. He can listen to it over and over and never get bored. He even sings along with the songs and enjoys all of them. I would definetly recommend this CD is your child likes Barney. A lot of the songs teach kids great lessons like everyone is special, we all grow, friends and manners are good, buckle your seat belt etc. The downside of the CD is, like most Barney CDs, the music can get really annoying after a while for the parent. But if your kids like Barney then they will enjoy this CD.

Great CD in the car!
I have an 18 month old who usually hates her 1/2 hour commute to and from daycare. Every morning when we get in the car, she immediately asks for "Barney". She is so happy now in the car, I actually don't even mind listening to it! We've listened to it so much, she now sings to all the songs and knows where they are on the CD!

Not one great volume, but two!!
This cassette, like Barney's Favorites Volume 1, contains voices from cast members of the "Barney & Friends" series. It includes voices from: Shawn, Derek, Tosha, David, Kathy, Min, and even Professor Tinkerputt! I highly recommend this tape, it is just as good as the first volume!! ... Read more

A "Must Have" every night at our house
My son who is five and one of my daughter's who is almost four both listen to this CD every night. It is an integral part of our night-time routine. In fact, when we vacation, we even take a portable CD player with us, just so that they can hear their "Barney Sleepy-time" CD. The music is typically, sweet Barney-ish music and there is kind of a rhythm to the pace in that the beginning of the CD is a little peppier and the second half is definitely more mellow and sub-dued. I have tried to suggest to my five year old that maybe he would enjoy some other type of night-time CD---but no go--at least for now, this Barney CD with its sweet, peaceful tone is what he wants. Our two year old is ready for her big girl bed--so it's almost time to order her CD, too.

A perfect bedtime routine begins here...
My three children have been listening to Barney's Sleepytime songs for YEARS. It is now in the hands of our youngest child, who will be 2 this summer. It is the ONLY cassette she will listen to at bedtime, and it is our second (wore out the first copy)...we're now investing in the CD version! Side One is perfect to play while your child takes his/her bath, brushes teeth, etc. It is a little more "uptempo" than the second side of the tape (or second half of the CD, whatever the case may be). The second half is VERY soothing... sometimes WE fall asleep as we rock the baby and sing along to the "nighty-night" songs. I'd recommend this to ANYONE in need of a new routine at bedtime, for ages birth-5 years. :) ... Read more

Great Music To Get Your Kids Moving
If you can tolerate Barney and want a CD to get your kids moving then this is a good bet. My three-year-old just loves Barney and out of all her Barney CDs, I prefer this one to the others. The songs are really upbeat and some of them do have catchy tunes. The music also has the ability to get my kids dancing all around the house and they even like it in the car and outside while they play. great addition to Barney collection
If your kid is hooked on Barney, this CD will contain a lot of songs that are in the Barney videos. My daughter recognizes the songs and grunts along, very interactive! Because she is hooked on Barney, we need to have him on TV, in the car and all the time, so this is the CD we play while we are in the bathtub. Her favorites are the "raindrop song" (ah-ah-ah she goes!), the yum-yum song and the "clapping song". Anything that makes her happy in the bathtub wins points with me. Thanks, Barney!

Gotta get it (again)
My son got this cassette as a present, and he loves listening to it in the car. Unfortunately, our new minivan doesn't have a cassette player, so now I have to get the CD version or else listen to my boy demand "Barney!" every 30 seconds. I only gave it 4 stars because I think it would be better if the genre of the songs was more varied (rock, classical, folk), like our Sesame street songs.

I Love To Sing With Barney is no disappointment in this last area. There are lots of old Barney standards on this CD as well as lots of fun new songs from Barney's latest series of PBS episodes. The accompaniments to all of these songs are delightful and keep Barney's old standards such as The Clapping Song and Our Friend Barney Had A Band as entertaining as the new compositions included on this CD. Too little songs
I was disappointed by this CD as I was expecting song after song, which I have come to expect from other Barney CDs, which my daughter has been listening to and loving for over a year now. Although having "white sound" in between songs may be helpful to younger babies, it just makes my toddler (and me too!) anxious to hear the next melody. Not recommended for toddlers, even if they are Barney fans.

BETTER THAN A BEDTIME STORY
This CD is great and so relaxing. I just love the soft melodies and nature sounds. It gives the wonderful feeling of sleeping under the stars while making you feel warm and cozy inside. We bought this CD for my 15 month old who has just become a Barney Fan. She loves it. Its probably also good for 2-4 year olds also.
