With the goofiness of Dookie-era Green Day (not to mention their punk punch) and the skank of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Goldfinger put it all together on their debut for Mojo, and took it to the charts (as well as an opening slot on the Sex Pistols' reunion tour). Funny, catchy, it was nothing more than bubblegum, but that was fine. America's always had an open ear for pop music, whatever way it's wrapped up, and the ska package on this caught the No Doubt Zeitgeist. The right time, the right place, the right album for Goldfinger. Chris Nickson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great CD!!!!!! Gets you going!
I bought this goldfinger CD after hearing it once in the background at my work. It is so great!!! It's pumping ska that has a talent unlike any other band. If you are wondering if you should buy a goldfinger CD or don't know which one to get first... then stop your search and BUY THIS ONE! I swear its great. my favorite songs are: mind's eye, here in your bedroom, anxiety, answers, mable. Every track is great and unique.

You'll love Goldfinger from the start to finish. Great CD!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars awesome mix of ska and punk
After hearing Goldfinger's song Vintage Queen on the American Pie soundtrack, I decided that I had to have one of their CD's. I bought this one and liked it so much, I bought Hang-Ups soon after. I'd have to say that I like Hang-Ups a little better, but this one is near-perfect. Mable is definately my favorite song on the album. It's hilarious. My other favorites are Pictures and Answers but the whole CD is great. If this is your first Goldfinger album and you're into ska, buy Hang-Ups first, but if you mostly like punk, buy the debut.

5-0 out of 5 stars Goldfinger's best album
Goldfinger's self-titlted album is near-perfect. Without a doubt, one of the catchiest punk albums I've ever heard and maybe Goldfinger's best album-to-date (although Stomping Ground is pretty damn close). This is a fun and fast cd, perfect for a drive to the beach with the top rolled down. These songs will stick in your head for a long ass time.

Two favorite songs on the album: "Here in Your Bedroom" and "Nothing to Prove". But there is not one song on the cd that is not worthy of being a hit. The cd opens with a bang and never lets up. It has a great mix of pop-punk, ska, and even a hardcore song.

Go pick up this cd right now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kickin' It
Ok, so my review has a bit of a bias...I really love Goldfinger, and have since I was 15 (that's 6+ years now). I have to take a minute to give this album its due...everyone ought to give this CD a shot. I'm not going to sit here and say that the lyrics are profound...because they're not. The sound...well, it's not exactly original... Their image, ok, so it's been done before, too. There is nothing absolutely spectacular about Goldfinger... yet, there is something wonderfully addictive and fun about this first album of theirs. It's a classic in my book, and as I've grown older, I've moved far away from this type of music, yet I'll always come back to this CD and hail it as one of my best CD purchases of all time. Not to mention, these guys really deserve all of the fame they can get, because they're great guys. They really earn their money - they are amazing live, they are the most fan-friendly show I've ever seen. So give this CD a shot, I REALLY don't think you'll regret it (though it is remotely possible!), but more importantly - check them out live if you get the chance. Then you'll find a true appreciation for them!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Possibly THE best neo-punk album of the 90s
Goldfinger exploded onto a 1996 music scene that was glutted with neo-punk bands trying to soak up the success achieved by Green Day and the Offspring. On the surface, Goldfinger appeared another cutesy-pop-punk band (a la Blink 182), but the deeper one listens to their self-titled debut, the more their talent and worth shines through.

The single "Here in Your Bedroom" seemed on the surface to be a silly song about sex, but the MTV crowd may have missed the lyrics that spoke of insecurities and fear of intimacy. The whole album is laced with self-doubt and pain. While expressed in a major key with happy-sounding vocals, most of the songs on "Goldfinger" are raw, simple assesments of failed relationships, anxiety in everyday life and the difficulty of staying afloat.

I love this album. I will sing myself hoarse listening to it, because it's just so damn much fun. There's not a song on here that I don't like, from the reggae beats of "King for a Day" to the supercharged catharsis of "The City With Two Faces", all these songs are short, sharp, and full of musical punch. My favorites are "Miles Away" (one of the world's best love songs), "Anxiety", "Anything", "Mable" and "Answers."

They aren't as political as Rancid, but Goldfinger has the same relentless energy that blasts through in their music. This album is raucous, rocking, and wonderful; you have to check it out at least once. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is what it's all about.
This CD is perfect. the mix is mediocre at best, all the vocals sound like they were done first take, but that's the best thing about this album. it's completely real. The lyrics are just a little preachy, but the message is the right one, so it doesn't matter. start to finish, this CD is incredible. You could take any song off this CD and put it on a comp with any other bands you wanted, and it would automatically be the best song on the record. everyone i know with this CD has a different favorite song off it; that's how good it is. It's impossible to explain; just get it.

5-0 out of 5 stars an awesome album, by an awesome band!
H2O is one of the greatest NYHC bands around today. They are full of energy and send a great message to all the hc kids out there. They are admired by all kids, from punks to straight edgers, coast to coast. They are wonderful live and are very talented guys. I can't wait to heard their new stuff. Be sure to check this out or you won't know what your missing!

5-0 out of 5 stars my friends lookout for me like family
first off, let it be known that my music tastes are completely polar from any resemblance of hardcore. but, $hit! this is a great cd. i had heard the cd several times following its release, but disregarded it due to its hardcore style. then i actually took time to listen. from beginning to end the subjects of the songs are great. several years later i still drop this cd in to the deck and put it on repeat. any young man will identify with the content of h2o's material, and anyone with a pulse will sing along.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best of Three
This album is by far their best album. Unfortunetly, they have sold themselves out and signed a record deal with MCA Records and will now be heard on the radio. But their earliest albums are still good.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good CD. good Band.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome CD
This is another great album from the Pietasters. If you liked their last CD Willis then definitely get this one. It's a bit different from Willis but still is a damn fine ska album. The best songs are "Chain Reaction", "Can't Stand It","Wasted",and the extremely funny final song "Menowannalikki-u".

5-0 out of 5 stars Pietasters improve over their last release..
On Their 4th album, D.C's Pietasters return to the R&B infused ska sounds from their outstanding 2nd release "Oolooloo", easing off the ska-punk rawness of their last release, "Willis". The new recording mixes quite a few mid-tempo rocksteady style tunes with a few punkier tunes and some upbeat horn work. Not as amazing as their live shows, but a decent effort. A bit misogynistic, though. I recommend tracks 2, 5, and 7.

2-0 out of 5 stars Quickly Regressing
I bought this cd on the merit of their past three efforts. (Oolooloo, Strapped Live, and Willis). On this album, it seems as though they forcefully tried exploring other musical genres, and with little success. It starts off well with a solid rocksteady song in Chain Reaction. Then it's followed by a good ska-pop song, Yesterday's Over and by a classic-stle Pietasters hit, Crying Over You. But after that it descends into nothingness. The CD falls apart with lowlights such as the incredibly adolescent hidden track menowannalikkyu and the pathetically written, Wasted. Beyond the first three tracks, nothing else hits the mark. If you want to listen to quality Pietasters, buy one of their other cds...Any of them. Just not Awesome Mix Tape #6. Or go to one of their shows...They are still one of the best live bands around.

5-0 out of 5 stars fresh air
thank you pt for this album, gives a clean fresh look at life, much thanks, keep rocking uptown, with da downtown tubbys.all good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Something for everyone
I've been saying that the 'tasters are among the most versatile bands (and not just ska bands) out there today for a while. Apparently they've been listening, because AMT6 has them playing everything on it- Hepcat-style rocksteady, Toasters pick-up, Sublime DJ ska, and even NOFXy silliness. What's more, even though they play more styles on this album than most people have TRACKS, they're all done very well. In fact, I think that the song chosen as the first single (Yesterday's Over) is probably my least favorite on the album, but on "Willis" it would have been a standout. "Chain Reaction" is, plainly and simply, one of the better songs I've ever heard; "Spiderview" is REALLY cool, "Can't Stand It", and "Crawl Back Home" really grows on you. I bought this album in Atlanta, and I listened to it driving home. That's an eight hour drive. I probably listened to it four times in that drive alone. The whole time, I was thinking how much this album reminded me of "Pet Sounds"; how passed over it was when it came out, and how now it's one of the most-revered albums ever. I think that AMT6 may turn out to be the "Pet Sounds" of the ska world. Buy it now. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of nonsense, but good nonetheless.
Words that can describe this cd: crazy, nutty, outrageous, and any of their synonyms... I never thought I'd hear "butt cheeks" in a song... until I heard "I Don't Wanna Be No(J.B.J.)", a song which clearly mocks John Bon Jovi's career. Humorous definitely explains this song. Then there is "I don't Seem to Care", which if taken seriously is utter stupidity. However if you realize that you should simply take it with a grain of salt, it's yet another humorous song. All of the songs on this cd follow a punk/ska style as far as I can tell. And by the way, "Irish Drinking Song" is the best one on the cd. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Stars good, and keeps getting better.
When I first got the first Aquabats CD, it was my favorite. Then I got the second CD, and it was even better. Now this one is better than the other two put together. When I first heard it, I was kinda disappointed, but then I listened to it again, and I fell in love. So give it more than one chance. I got it for my b-day and I can't stop listening to it. It's not exactly ska, it's more of a mix between ska and punk. The best songs are Giant Robot-Birdhead, Lovers Of Loving Love,Monster's Wedding, The Ballad Of Mr. Bonkers, and Canis Lupis. I promis you that this is not only the best Aquabats CD, but the best CD ever. Buy it, and you'll be glad you did.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great CD, even if they did change their style
This is the third CD that has come out of the Aquabats and the first thing you might notice is that the style is way different than the last two. The last two had a ska feel, but this is different. This isn't a bad thing. The title's and lyrics are the same wacky creativity that can only come out of the Aquabats. Some songs are slow and somewhat depressing(Chemical Bomb, Lovers of Loving Love, Hello Goodnight) while others have high energy that makes you want to do a karate chop(Giant Robot Birdhead, Amino Man, Sequence Erase, AntiMatter) while others are plain wacky (Tiny Pants, the Man with Glooey Hands). This has been a very welcome addition to my Aquabats collection and I am listening to it almost non-stop as of right now. Don't let the change from ska keep you from buying this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best CD ever!
The Aquabats are my favorite band ever and although I've always been a huge fan of ska I have to say that even without the ska sound this cd is in my opinion the best Aquabat CD to date. The lyrics are amazing and the music sounds much more professional and organized then some of their earlier work. Not only is the best Aquabats cd but is quite possibly my favorite cd ever. A must buy for any Aquabats fan or just for anyone who wants something entertaining to listen to.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
I got this CD along time ago. And while it is a bit different form the return cd. I would say this cd is even better. The sound is so much more professional and amazing than their other cds. With party anthems like Canus Lupus and Giant Robot Birdhead, and slower songs like Mr. Bonkers and hello, good night, love song slike lovers of loving love, and even some odd yet awesome songs like tiny pants...This CD has it all. It proves that the Aquabats arent just stuck in one genre, and they can not be merely labeled as a ska band. They are an awesome band!! Its as simple as that. It wmay take a few listens to get used to, but you will love this cd.

3-0 out of 5 stars My least favorite Aquabat CD
This is my least favorite Aquabats cd. The band's style seemed to change on this cd and instead of singing about upbeat comedy, this cd is more about singing about depressing stuff. I wouldn't reccomend this cd because of this, but then there are other songs that are so great they almost redeem the cd totally. These are Lotto Fever, Canis Lupis, and Tiny Pants. One other problem that I found with this cd is that many of the songs sounded like the same songs off of older aquabats cds with new lyrics.

If you've never listened to the Aquabats before, don't start out with this CD. Listen to "The Fury of the Aquabats" first, and if you like it, get all of the other Aquabats cds and save this one for last. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Fishbone cd
I love da Bone, but I got to say, this is their best album. Sure, it's a lot cleaner and mellower sounding than later albums, but that's part of the appeal.

It's one of those albums you can put on and relax to, not to mention, most of the songs here are funny, which I like much better than their later, more serious work.

4-0 out of 5 stars The most over looked Bone release!
People can say all they want about their other albums. Maybe it doesn't have the social message of the some of their others. But for pure fun, "In your face" is possibly one of thier best. How can you listen to "Selection" and not smile when Angelo yells, "what? no toothpaste?". To this day (14 years after I first heard it) "when problems arise" is one of my single favorite tunes by any band! This is very good, and often times forgotted album, but one worth getting and enjoying the hell out of!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fishbone with a little too much polish
An interesting name for the album, considering that of all their albums, this one is the least "in your face" with their trademark hard-funky-ska mix of music. Leave it to the music industry to try and tamper with Fishbone's sound.

Don't get me wrong, the songs on this album aren't bad. It's a very solid selection of cuts. "Movement in the Light" is one of the nicest songs they've ever released, "Knock It" is a straight-up funk jam, and "In the Air" should have been a hit single - well, it would have been if they were white. This is actually the album that got me into them, but after hearing the band's other stuff, I realized how much it was overproduced. Fishbone still constantly plays quite a few cuts from "In Your Face" live (#1, #2, #3, #4, #6, #9) because they're good songs, but I also think it's a way to show how strong the songs were before they became squeaky clean on record. A bit of a middle finger to their previous record label, if you will. "When Problems Arise" especially needs to be recorded live sometime. The studio version is very good, but it just catches fire live and you can't help but get down.

I always thought it would be fun to hear them re-record this album. I'm sure contractual stuff will prevent this from happening, but it's a nice thought.

4-0 out of 5 stars fishbone when we thought they were just a ska band
this is a great record from the early days of fishbone, before they broadened out to the undefinable band they are now. lots of bouncing ska, high energy beats, funny to sad lyrics. ... Read more

On their fourth full-length release, San Diego's Buck-O-Nine continue to trace the ska-punk revolution from its '70s roots to its '90s incarnation. With a robust horn section bopping alongside their breakneck reggae rhythms, Buck-O-Nine's lead singer Jon Pebsworth struts his stuff in a voice that would make Joe Jackson proud. While the punk spirit on this CD is often eclipsed by the band's feel good melodies, Libido is still an extra-energetic foray into modern ska. Jonas Kleiner's guitar playing is both upbeat and tasteful on fun tunes such as "On a Sunny Day." With some tranquil moments and world music creeping into their overall sound, Buck-O-Nine show they aren't afraid to experiment with the ska-punk formula. --Mitch Meyers ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Buck-O-Nine's fourth full length album is dissapointing
I'm not the kind of guy who hates a ska band because they're sellouts.I like Reel Big Fish,MMBosstones, and Less Than Jake. All of which are sellout ska bands. So it's not my problem that Buck-O-Nine tried to reach the radio on this cd.But they didn't do a good job.Their is only one song that compares to their old stuff and that is Falling Back To Sleep. And their are a few really good songs. But in a whole, the album doesn't even come close to 28 teeth.Buck-O-Nine added this real light watery pop crap on this album that gets success on the radio but just doesn't work here. The album is worth buying for the few really good songs. But I suggest you go for 28 teeth before getting this one.If your not really a ska fan but like the radio friendly pop, then you might enjoy this. This is not really ska.It is more like reggae/pop.But it is still Buck-O-Nine with their great vocals. That will never leave. But take my word for it that this is not them at their best.

4-0 out of 5 stars Is This The Same Buck O Nine?
BO9 has changed a lot since their earlier albums like Barfly and Songs In The Key Of Bree. In these albums, they sound like your average ska band, which attracted ska fanatics. However, many of them were turned off by this album. Why? Because the tunes in this recording has lost many of the key elements of ska, such as the chinky off-beat guitar which occurs only occasionally in this album, and also what happened to the horn solos? These and other factors have led me to believe that Buck O Nine is slowly edging towards pop rock and away from ska, somewhat comparable to No Doubt (Only they did it quicklier). I liked this album better than any other ska CD I have heard, and some pop rock minded listeners may enjoy it also, but die-hard ska fans are going to find something missing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buck o nines best to date.
Libido and songs in the key of bree are the only real albums by this band that matter to me, though this cd seems to have taken a more poppy approach to some of the songs such as swimming in sand and on a sunny day i feel these are the stand out tracks because of this it's just happy beach ska. There is only one throw away track on libido and thats the last one as it's just no where near as interesting as the previous tracks in the offering and by that time you've heard all the good points of libido anyway, buck o nine appear to be one of the good ska bands around but some of the rock they play just seems a bit effortless and needs that bit more flare but i would seriously recommened Libido even over songs in the key of Bree.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Great Great
All you have to do is listen to "Tell it like was" and "swimming in sand" and you will love this album. They sound like Reel Big Fish, Sublime, and CIV all rolled into one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not Quite as good...
Buck-O-Nine is one of my very favorite ska bands. The first ska CD I ever bought was 28 Teeth. After listening to that I got really into ska... The CD is good and all, but it does not match up with their others. I personally think you should but some of their other CDs instead of this one, but if you have those feel free to get this one... I just think they didnt do as good of a job with this one. ... Read more

This is a terrible song by a terrible band. Enough said.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yeah!
Yeah I totally agree! It's just a stupid name for a type of music. I doesn't matter about what it's called, it's the music that counts. And Good Charlotte rules when it comes down to that. Their new CD is just really Benji and Joel's life experieces. I don't get why everyones arguing about what type of music they are...

GC's no. 1 fan

this is the 2nd worst band in the world behind simple plan. this song is awful and it makes me wanna throw up. this is just a pop band that all the teen girls say is punk. if you want real punk music you should get Offspring's Ignition. that albums spits on this pop trash. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars this cd is a mixed bag
This was a good album and it potrayed alot of what the vans warped tour is about but it left out some of the best bands that were on tour with them (Deftones, grinspoon, rancid, reverend horton heat...) i think they should have been mentioned in this cd.

4-0 out of 5 stars Could be better
This is a pretty good comp, but it could be a lot better. For one the sellouts(bosstones) shouldn't be on it. A lot of good bands from the warped tour were left out, and this was meant to capture the essence of the tour. It didn't.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is an awsome cd
I think that this is one of the best cds that they have ever mad I think that they should win the vanguard or lifetime achevement award for the mtv music awards ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Lord have mercy. . .
With Act Your Age you get your typical pop/punk album, which isn't a bad thing. However, this band doesn't even come close to the likes of Blink 182 and MxPx. Yes, they do have some catchy guitar riffs and the rest of the usual pop/punk formula which should add up to an album full of catchy songs. However, the vocals on this CD are ridiculous and seem to get worse as the album goes along, and Homegrown finally reaches its lowest point with the last track "Reflections," which is just flat-out embarassing. There's just something missing in this CD and its a good lead singer. Act Your Age is definately not worth buying. If your in to this type of music skip Homegrown and buy something from a good band like the Suicide Machines, Goldfinger, or Blink. Trust me, you won't regret it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best CD ever
Thi is the most catchiest cd I have ever heard and I just can't get enough of it. Here's how I rate all the songs:

Nowhere Slow- excellent fast paced punk song, very catchy 9.5/10

All That You Have- Probably my least favourite song with ska riff, but still quite good 8/10

She's Anti-Very funny song with a cool guitar riff and cool lyrics 9.5/10

Surfer Girl-Something very different from the rest of the album but a top tune 9/10

Last Nite Regrets- Best song so far, more serious than the previous four and one of the highlights of the album 10/10

Suffer-Another classic 10/10

Your Past- A much slower paced song but there's something about it that I love 10/10

Piss Off- The catchiest song on the album with a cool guitar solo to round it off 10/10

Grow Up -Fast paced cool song 9/10

Let Go- Another fast one, perhaps not that catchy 8.5/10

Bad News Blair- Very cool and catchy, one of the great tunes on the album 10/10

Kids- Ska riff on a ligth hearted song which is really effective 9/10

Wow, She's Dumb-This song is fast. catchy, cool and it has everything 10/10

Envy Me- Not as good as the rest but believe me you'll listen to it 8/10

Reflections- Something slow to finish the album 9/10

So basically this album is packed with good tunes that you'll want to listen to again and again. I recommend it if you like bands on Drive-Thru records as they're all amazing

5-0 out of 5 stars this is the punk cd you need!!!!!!
this cd rocks, and kicks ass. this is a great band that is basically an indey band. a kickass indey band. when i first herd this band it kinda sounded like greend day, but once the song kept going i couldnt stop listening. the first song i herd was grow up and it kicks ass. this bands tight and you need to get this cd if you like green day, blink 182,nirvana, and bands like that you need to get this cd!!!!by the way what cd is hangin out in?

5-0 out of 5 stars the best Home Grown album
This is the best of the Home Grown albums out there. Though Kings of Pop was great, I hope they stick to the style of Act Your Age. By far the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best
Probably one of the best CD's I've ever heard, and not just in punk. This CD has it all, clever lyrics, upbeat melodies, catchy riffs, all while still being silly and fun. I never get sick of listening to this CD. The new album, Kings of Pop is awesome, but if you're new to Home Grown, pick this album up first, you won't be disappointed. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Yet, another great Citizen Fish masterpiece!
Here they are again, the elder musicians of Citizen Fish just wont quit making music, and making good music at that. On this album they seemed to progress a little more than previous albums. Its a little more upbeat, you can actually dance to it. A lot more ska influenced music on Thirst also. This album you can run through track 1-12(all) without skipping around finding a good song, because they are all great. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Rx Bandits never cease to amaze
I just cannot believe the talent of this band. It is overwhelming how incredibly awesome this band is. Having loved "Progress," I waited, almost exploding, until the day it came out, and bought it right off the bat. It has not left my cd player since.

The Rx Bandits used to be a fun little 3rd-wave ska band with silly lyrics and simple guitar riffs, as all 3rd-wave ska bands are. But this band has evolved like no other I have seen. "Progress" is one of the, if not THE best cd I have heard. And I hoped "The Resignation" would be just as good, if not more. And boy did my wish come true. There's just too much to say about this album. The musicianship, the words, the overall energy and impact is just amazing.

It's hard to put Rx Bandits into a specific genre, and that's what I like. This cd could please almost anyone, complete with great horn parts, rocking guitar riffs, and emotional filled lyrics.

The bonus DVD is a wonderful addition as well, complete with "Sell You Beautiful" (the single) live, coupled with 2 songs off of Progress, an acoustic version of "Overcome (The Recapitulation)", an interview with Matt Embree, the guitarist and lead vocalist, and pictures.

Enough ranting. This album is a must buy. The best of the year by far. If you haven't heard of Rx Bandits, well, this is the moment that you should.

4-0 out of 5 stars worth buying
Combining elements of ska, reggae, pop and rock, "The Resignation" is a decent album that is worth buying. Being a fan of the Rx Bandits for many years i had high expectations of this release, and while it wasn't the perfect cd i was looking for, it was good enough for my collection. This album at times seems like many releases in the genre with catchy songs like "Sell You Beautiful" but it is the deep protesting lyrics and the occasional unpredictable changes in form that set this album apart from the rest. Although "Progress" was a larger step for this band and a better cd in most aspects, "The Resignation" is another artistic and capable album by the Rx Bandits worth my own applause to say the least.

5-0 out of 5 stars totally totally awesome
The Rx bandits come back with what might actually be 2003's best cd. It is filled with awesome guitar riffs and great vocals.. the songwriting has really improved a lot since their earlier albums. All you 3rd wave ska fans might be dissapointed by the lack of bpm. but i'd defenitely give this a chance.. if you're into chilling... pick this cd up.

1-0 out of 5 stars save your money
loved halfway between here and there and progress. saw them live and became a fan. was very disapointed with this cd. save your monney or get their upcoming dvd.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Resignation should be titled The Revolution
Rx Bandits have greatly evolved since their release of "Halfway Between Here and There." They started out being just that regular ska punk, which is great and all, but it's been done many many times before. With "Progress," that is an exact reflection on the album itself. In my opinion, however, nothing compares to "The Resignation." While "Progress" is a very musically advanced album, a few of the tracks lack a certain "umph" or catchiness. "The Resignation" has every aspect of music in which to revolutionize the way we listen to ska music. In fact, pretty much every track is absolute genius. Seriously. The Rx Bandits aren't afraid to experiment, and the result are 12 tracks of time singature changes, tempo changes, and three minute outro/breakdowns. Most of these songs break 6 minutes, which is very unlike ska, or previous Rx Bandits songs (besides Infection).

So if you haven't picked up "The Resignation," do it. If you've never heard anything by the Rx Bandits, pick up this album. It took me awhile to get used to it, but now I find myself not removing it from my CD player. This will change the way you think about music. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I could go on and on bout GC! But I'll try to make it short
I want to give them a whole ton of stars, but five was the highest they'd let me..This is seriously the best CD! It never wears out, I got it not long after it came out, and it still never leaves my CD player! This band really does have a very distinctive sound, they can be compared to other bands, but they really have a sound all their own. I saw them live at the Warped Tour and they are even better live!!! This is one of the coolest CD you will ever buy, I garantee it! The guys in Good Charlotte are awsome poeple and they write great meaningful lyrics... Good Charlotte is MY favorite band of all time. Buy their album and you'll love it; their music rocks, each song it very catchy and any one can enjoy this CD... my mom even loves it. But they still have a very PUNK sound, These guys flat out ROCK! No question about it! My favorite tracks are 1,4,7,8,10, 11... heck all the tracks are my favorite! So buy the album :oP YOU ROCK!

5-0 out of 5 stars This band totally rocks!!!
Good Charlotte is one of the best new pop-rock bands out there today. If you listen to their entire CD all the way through, you can hear the chunks of songs straight from the Clash and the Sex Pistols' handbook. Not only do they rock recorded, they totally RULE live! They actaully try to get in touch with their fans, its awesome! The band members are: Joel, Vocals; Benji, Guitar, vocals; Billy, Guitar; Paul, Bass; Aaron, Drums. If you've done any research on the band, you would know that almost all of their songs are auto-biographical...which makes the meaning and the feelings even deeper. Good Charlotte's singles include "Little Things", "Motivation Proclamation", and "The Click" - the theme song on MTV's underGRADS (go to mtv.com and download it!). They all totally rock! Never miss the chance to catch them live...or you'll wanna kick youself for it!

5-0 out of 5 stars The story
2 years ago I read a review that really made me angry I am now replying. This girl said that Young and the hopless sucks and that this abulm was better. I have come to realize it is it gives you more a garage band type feel when you just trying to find a place to practice. I love it Every good charlotte fan must buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off this band rocks hard. And if you have to beg your parents for this cd I say go ahead its worth it. If you hate this cd well without cussing to you,you pretty much are stupid, dume, and dose not know good music.

5-0 out of 5 stars know if what your'e saying is true
whoever craig open whatever it was who reviewed GC, surely doesn't know much about them even though he like them cuz he called the lead singer Josh>>>>>DUH its JOEL not josh. Josh is his brother who is not even in the band. His Twin brother benji is back up vocals and guitar in the band though.
Remember: Keep representin' GC cuz you know they're representin' you!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars this cd kicks a**!!!
Debut albums usually get old after a while, so I thought this would be kind of a shi**y album, but this is quite possibly the best CD ever released by Epitaph. It is all original, I cant think of one band that sounds even a little bit like h2o. I give it 5 stars because I cant give it 10. It practically never leaves my cd player. The messages in the songs are good, the songs never get old, and they dont put a lot of effort into their music, thats what punk is all about

5-0 out of 5 stars Some good hard but not to hard hardcore
H2O shows lots of promise in showing the beginning of a great band. This album pumps out some great songs like "Everready" and "Thicker Than Water". A very good CD

5-0 out of 5 stars Remember H2O Here.
This is the cd that I like to remember H2O with - its really dark melodic punk/hardcore. Its one of the best cds of the genre as well.

Even though they well ... went against everything they stood for with their first album (and "sold out", went to a major label, changed their genre to the fit the trends, etc.) this album still stands the test of time.

If you're into their newer stuff but haven't checked out any of their earlier work, check this album about and give a listen to the bands that they have tattooed onto themselves while your at it.

5-0 out of 5 stars H2O IS THE BEST
THIS IN MY OPINION IS THE BEST CD NEXT TO GO THAT H2O HAS DONE.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT ALBUM! H2O AT ITS BEST!!
If you are a fan of Punk music, then this CD needs to be in your collection. The first Epitaph release for H2O is definitely their strongest...even though all four of their albums are fantastic... These NYC Hardcore guys keep it positive and put on the best live performances that I've seen. They exude energy and Toby keeps it real by hopping in the crowd on a regular basis. H2O are definitely at the top of the list of all the new school punk bands. I could go on and on about how these guys rock, but you'll just have to experience it for yourselves. Buy this album!! You will not be disappointed. ... Read more
